Use of techniques and methods of drama development of social communication of preschool children in a long-term project "What my hand has seen"

Jiřina Hovorková: The thesis examines the use of different methods and techniques with respect to drama education within the framework of a long term project seeking to develop and underpin social skills of a selected group of children in preparatory grade. The theoretical part of the thesis concentrates on characteristics of children in the preparatory grade age from a development perspective, methods and techniques of drama education, whilst another chapter is devoted to the curiculum education system, a further chapter covers project education. The practical part of the thesis endeavoured to compare the level of social skills between agroup of children which had integrated disabled children and another group of ordinary children in prepatory grade. Another objective of the thesis was to motivate children to creatively collaborate with respect to the creation of a tactile book and a CD entry.
Work with literary text by the help methods of dramatic education with 5-7 years old children

This thesis deals with the work with literary text by the help methods of dramatic education. The main aim is to find out possibilities and specifics for use these methods at work with 5-7 years old children and to offer lessons of dramatic education. This thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with peculiarities of evolution and necessities of 5-7 years old children, an importance of children's game, a role of literature in children's life, methods and techniques of dramatic education and a selection of literary text. The practical part of this thesis offers six lessons of dramatic education. These lessons were be realized at nursery school and in first and second class of primary school. A part of practical work are reflexes of these lessons with particular children's groups and their mutual comparison. This part contains free suggestions of other lessons. These lessons are inspired by various literary genres for children. The results show that with such old children are especially effective these techniques: simple pantomime, association circle, alley, a range of attitudes, live images. Input activities must have clearly defined understandable rules. It is appropriate to assign specific roles and provide or suggest children descriptions of figured situations.
Teaching german language through drama at the waldorf school

This diploma thesis is devoted to the application of drama in German language teaching at Waldorf school. The content itself provides a theoretical insight into the basic concepts and principles of drama education and foreign language teaching at primary school. For the sake of clarity and understanding, these basic levels related to the subject are more elaborated in the introductory chapters. The theoretical part also includes chapters related to Waldorf pedagogy and its basic principles. In the practical part, one of the main objectives was to verify whether methods of dramatic education in German language teaching could support the pupil's ability to express themselves, with an emphasis on the verbal component. The work also includes description and reflection of three lessons, the aim of which was to find out whether the selected methods of drama in foreign language teaching have an impact on pupils' ability to communicate effectively and on the overall outcome of the learning process. At the end of the thesis are described findings, which confirm the benefits of including elements of drama education in foreign language teaching, and also where their influence manifested most.
Drama in Education as the tool of fear prevention from animals in the Nursery School.

v anglickém jazyce My dissertation work is focused on a correlation between drama education as a possible fear prevention for preschool aged children applying a method of performance in a certain role. In the theoretical section you shall find the explanations of basic terms and the principals of drama education, its targets, methods and techniques for preschool education. It is focused on a research of drama education as a possible fear prevention method. The practical part of my dissertation work is a topic section "Who would fear?" where using drama methods and techniques as main tools we work on an improvement of child relationships with other specified animal species. The aim of my dissertation work is to discover whether drama education can influence preschool child fears and anxieties of animals.
Truth and theatre

The topic of this bachelor thesis Truth and Theatre is the study of the truth by connecting the concepts of the phenomenologist Jan Patočka and the theatre director and researcher Jerzy Grotowski. The objective of this thesis is to capture the factual connection between these two concepts. This work reveals how the topic of the truth tied with the ancient abstract meaning of aletheia - "unconcealedness" is being manifested in the theatre, how it is related to the themes of myth, ritual, situation, corporality, education and why is this understanding of truth inseparable from the action, self-awareness and the moral. The aim of this work is also to map the philosophical basis for the master's thesis, which will be created at the Department of Drama in Education on DAMU. 1 ABSTRACT The diploma thesis deals with the possibility of using Jaroslav Foglar's work in dramatic education at elementary school.The aim of the diploma thesis is to verify the influence of methods and techniques of dramatic education through Jaroslav Foglar's texts in the form of value charts and attitudes in the life of pupils of the 5th year of primary school.How dramatic education helps with methods and techniques - first fordeepest adoption of Jaroslav Foglar's work, and second - to increase understanding and adoption of given values and attitudes.The theoretical part focuses on the personality and work of Jaroslav Foglar and his timeless message. It focuses on the concept of drama education, its aims, principles, forms, methods and techniques. At the same time, it focuses on the analysis of the work in terms of dramatic education. In the practical part of the diploma thesis, three thematic units focusing on the moral qualities of the human being, using methods and techniques of dramatic education, are elaborated on the basis of books and short stories by Jaroslav Foglar. Musically Dramatic Course for Parents with Pre-school Children

The theses describes the topic of Musicaly Dramatic course for Parents with Pre-school Children. It maps the problematics of dramatic courses and also evaluates its aplication in practice. The theses is divided into two main parts ? theoretical and practical. It covers the historical developement of drama and dramatics from the medieval times up to the late 20th century. It also covers the theoretical bases for dramatical education, describes the used lexicum and some of the methods of dramatical education. In the practical part of the theses, the author presents her course, its system and methods and also how the research will be done. During the course, she carefully observes the reactions of both children and their parents to prepare the bases for later questionings. As a result of questionings, the author concludes her ideas and describes the whole process and its results.
Theatrical performance in kindergarten played by students of the Faculty of Education

This bachelor thesis is devoted to theatre performances for kindergartens, which is realized by students of Faculty of Education. The thesis describes the issues of fairy tale, its development, the fundamental division and its influence on children. Together it is devoted to the dramatic education in kindergartens, its aims, principles and methods. To meet all goals, it was created the theatrical that was played in kindergartens and then using the method of experiment, situational observation and interview with educators more data for research were obtained. The resulting data served to determine the suitability of amateur theatre and to compare with professional theatre. The main finding is that amateur theatrical is better for children aged five and six years and in comparison, to professional theatre there are not enough sophisticated mimics and gesticulating speeches by actors. The results of this thesis are beneficial for pre-school pedagogy students and for nursery teachers, because the thesis gives recommendations for improvements in various areas of drama education that should be emphasized on implementation in front of children in preschool age.
