Threat management for CERT/CSIRT teams
Machálek, Jiří ; Peterka, Jiří (advisor) ; Lukeš, Dan (referee)
The increasing importance of the Internet as an integral part of contemporary society has stressed the need to formalize the process of response to security incidents that accompany it inseparably. Security teams of the CERT/CSIRT type are established at different levels for this purpose. These teams respond to reports from their constituency and cooperate with other teams. This thesis introduces the reader to the issues these teams deal with and analyzes their needs in resolving threats and problems related to DNS and its domains. Part of the work is an overview of the basic existing tools to support the work of CERT/CSIRT teams to solve problems with domains, the design of a tool Malicious Domain Manager and description of its implementation. The results of test run of this tool by CZ.NIC-CSIRT team show its contribution to security of DNS.
Monitoring of SLD DNS servers
Šťastný, Petr ; Peterka, Jiří (advisor) ; Lukeš, Dan (referee)
This publication directly follows the bachelor thesis. It contains necessary theory of HTTP, SMTP and some other protocols and services. This knowledge is then used to draw a methodology to build additional tests to verify availability and functionality of basic Internet services of a domain name. This methodology is then implemented as an application that uses distributed processing to analyse a large number of domains. Obtained results are then compiled into statistical outputs. One chapter is also devoted to overview of the attacks on DNS and security options of DNS servers and domain records.
Influence of lipid composition and model peptides on lateral organization of lipid layers
Veľas, Lukáš ; Heřman, Petr (advisor) ; Malínský, Jan (referee)
Oxidized phospholipids (OxPLs) are known to be present in living organisms due to oxidative stress. However, the physiological function of OxPLs is still not fully understood. They have been shown to be present in many inflammatory diseases such as atherosclerosis and neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease. In this work we present the influence of two truncated OxPLs on the lateral heterogeneity of a model lipid membrane. Specifically, we studied the effect of 1-palmitoyl-2-(5'-oxo-valeroyl)-sn-glycero-3- phosphocholine (POVPC) and 1-palmitoyl-2-glutaryl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (PGPC) on the formation of nanodomains present in giant unilamellar vesicles containing 1,2- dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DOPC), cholesterol and sphingomyelin. Only few techniques are capable of detecting nanometer-sized domains in the membrane with high resolution. Time resolved Förster resonance energy transfer (TR-FRET) combined with Monte Carlo (MC) simulations provide a strong tool not only to detect lateral heterogeneities but also characterize them with the resolution of 2 nm. Profound effects on the nanodomain size were observed in the presence of both studied OxPLs and differences were detected, as PGPC with a carboxylic group drives formation of larger nanodomains than POVPC...

Domains of the Public Sphere
Beránková, Tereza ; Pokorný, Pavel (advisor) ; Pucandlová, Miroslava (referee)
This bachelor thesis describes different type of domains. The main goal is to discover the present condition of domains in Czech Republic. This work is dividend into two fundamental parts. In the theoretical part, the reader is first acquainted with the domains of particular subjects and then these domains are comparing with the domains of selected states of Europe while the practical part is focused on solving domains in public sphere of Czech Republic.
Selected accounting problems of a company running its business in the area of internet marketing
Dvořák, Luboš ; Bokšová, Jiřina (advisor) ; Blinka, Roman (referee)
The subject of the thesis is accounting problems that are specific to the area of internet marketing, and which usually do not occur in the accounting of companies in other business areas. These problems are especially connected with internet domains, the delivery of online customers and the delivery of web page traffic. For the issues described, possible solutions and illustrations of practical examples are offered.
Qualitative factors affecting the value of a domain name
Čížková, Lenka ; Svačina, Pavel (advisor) ; Jurečka, Jan (referee)
Domain names are much discussed issue these days yet not that well understood by Internet users. Diploma thesis Qualitative factors affecting the value of a domain name, as the title suggests, focuses on technical and marketing elements of the domain together with the content of websites and their influence on the value of domain names. In the first part there are different factors and their influence described in theory, the practical part then applies to a specific case for domain Nemovitosti.cz. This domain was compared in terms of market, competition and their technical and marketing site. To support factors related to website content, statistics put inside the website were used as well as freely available online tools. After evaluation of all factors Nemovitosti.cz domain, the author concludes that the domain is valuable in its field and its value in the future due to investigated factors will increase.
