Conception of theatre performed by children in extracurricular activity

The bachelor thesis covers with the theatre performed by children. The objectives are to determine whether a child should perform in front of audience and what influence such performance has on these children. The thesis compares different opinions of children's performance in front of audience and comes to the general conception of theatre performed by children. It monitors opinions of the actors - the children, their parents and the adults working with the children. Part of this thesis is a script of a theatre play performed by 3rd grade children.

The work deals with the influence on selected abilities and skills through the methodology of drama education. The theoretical part points to the transformation of society and the importance of communication as a basis for the formation and growth of personality. The reaction is the emergence of the Children's theater ensemble and its integration into the socio-cultural environment of the village of Láz. In the practical part is a qualitative cross-sectional study through an interview with the members of the ensemble, in which it is investigated how the activities of the participants of this ensemble work on their chosen abilities and skills and to what extent is the methodology of work of interest activities effective. On the basis of the findings, it is possible to speak of the importance of the ensemble for the socio-cultural environment of the municipality. The importance is summarized at the end of the work.
Dramatizations of Larger Epic Pieces Designed for a Child Actor

This thesis analyses the dramatizations of larger epic units, which have appeared on the Czech national (or regional) shows of children's theatre since 1989. After characterizing the role of dramatic text created for the theatre played by children, the work attempts to establish the evaluation criteria for the dramatization of the investigated area. With regard to the artistic and educational objectives, the work compares the composition, language and thematic basis of selected texts. At the centre of attention are those means of adaptation which acquire particular significance especially in connection with a child actor; ways of creating adult characters, the depiction of the inner world of children's heroes etc. The main task of this text analysis is to answer the question about how far the authors were able to get within the narrow borders brought on by focusing on child actors up to fifteen years of age.

Reproduced music in the theatre acted by children

This diploma thesis deals with the issue related to the reproduced sound in the theatre acted by children. In the beginning it describes the sound component of the theatre piece and its three basic parts ? spoken word, music and distracts. Furthermore it keeps the focus on the song?s dramaturgy, it researches the principles of choices of sound paths and their functions which fulfill within the production. The thesis in its next chapter deals with the relations of the songs and the needs of the children in the various phases of their development and also the importance of the music in the production for children?s actors. The author considers in the end of the theoretical part the practical questions of the adjustments of sound paths, acoustic aspects of the spectators and the author?s rights on the scenic music. In the second part it focuses in the chosen productions on the importance of function relation of the sound related both to the place of the usage as well as to the production as the whole unit.
Poetics of Jan Werich´s fairy tales in children performance

Thesis introductory part deals with the issue of author's fairy tale in general, the other parts focus exactly on Werich's fairy tales. The thesis works with the three fairy tales chosen from the Werich's book Fimfárum and analyses them in comparison with the original counterparts who inspired writer's authorship. This analyse concludes the principles and poetics of Werich's authorship. The last part of the thesis is dedicated to the analysis of particular fairy tales dramatization which was performed by the children theatre ensembles. This part of thesis shows the transformation of poetics in Werich's fairy tales to the theatre performance, its success and the way how it was done.
The Meaning of Scenography in Children´s Theatre

This diploma thesis presents a theoretical contemplation of scenography in children´s theatre supported by examples from the author´s own experience. It confirms scenography to be closely connected with the dramaturgical and directorial part of the whole creative process and to be a full-valued component of every single inscenation´s preparation. The work analyses the theatre space, mutual relations between the stage and the front, particular scenographic elements and the objective factors that influence creation of stage setting in children´s theatre. The thesis shows that the most determining of these are the specific characteristics of the children´s group and the personality of their teacher or leader. It also examines how technical as well as material conditions affect the choice and creation of stage setting. This diploma paper comes to the conclusion that limited conditions may obstacle the way to a theatre performance and mainly its scenography, but in the end they represent a challenge to search for creative solutions.
