Study of Model Parameters Influence on Vehicle Insurance Impact
Šandera, Petr ; Svída, David (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with basic test procedures conducted by companies Euro NCAP and RCAR. It focuses mainly on insurance impact and describes the creation of a model, simulation and crash on barrier. Moreover, it explores the influence of change of yield strength, thickness and hardening of material of energy-absorber on simulation of insurance impact, especially the amount of absorbed energy by energy-absorber.
Design Solutions and Development Trends of Formula Student Cars
Adámek, Ladislav ; Porteš, Petr (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis is engaged in history and description of progress and recent trends in Formula Student/SAE competition. The bigger part of this thesis is devoted to complex summary of structural designes of monoposts and construction units of most succesfull teams. The point of this survey was getting information about construction of competitor´s cars. Theese informations should be used for building own car.
Crush Element Design at Vehicle RCAR Simulation
Rydlo, Tomáš ; Svída, David (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals especially with basic crash test conducted by the organizations Euro NCAP and RCAR. On basis of RCAR standard for low speed crash test is designed crush element for a car Ford Taurus by using a virtual simulation. Thesis describes the selection, editing, and creating a finite element model and impact simulation to the barrier. The purpose was use a real vehicle, design into it a new crush element, try different shape and material implementation of crush element and make their comparison.
Formula Student Car Safety Components Design
Martinec, Pavel ; Svída, David (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is to design safety components for the Formula Student car. The aim is to handle the driver’s safety proposals regarding the competition rules. The main point of interest is focused on the impact attenuator issue, which is designed and tested by appropriate method. In addition are designed other security features such as seat belts, seat belts installation and driver equipment are.
Design of rear bumper for passenger car
Tomeš, Jan ; Strecker, Zbyněk (referee) ; Klapka, Milan (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis deals with search about passenger car bumpers. It focuses especially on RCAR crash tests and currently used constructions of bumpers. There is suggested concept of rear bumper based on findings from the search. The concept was modeled on design study of Swell Company’s car.
Development of the Impact Energy Absorber Made by Metal 3D Printing
Kraicinger, Vít ; Malý, Martin (referee) ; Vrána, Radek (advisor)
Today, variously profiled parts are mainly used for energy absorption. For special cases, precise components are designed, as in the case of Formula Student, where a deformation article with a honeycomb structure is used. This bachelor thesis is focused on the design of an impact energy absorber made by SLM technology and lattice structures. For the design itself, a comprehensive overview of current knowledge in the field of deformation zones, energy absorbers and researches dealing with energy absorption was created. Based on the study, the most suitable material to produce AlSi10Mg was selected. Subsequently, the appropriate type of grid (BCC) and all parameters of the lattice structure were determined. Two energy absorbers with different struts diameters (0.4 mm and 0.8 mm) and different grid sizes (4 mm and 8 mm) were modeled for the selected parameters. At the end of the work are two simplified calculations that show the predicted final values of the proposed absorbers and the stiffness of the layers of the lattice structure with graded density.
Parametric study of the absorption element of the rear part of the vehicle
Vražina, Lukáš ; Kubík, Petr (referee) ; Šebek, František (advisor)
In 1995 was published a regulation from RCAR company which determines rules for crash tests in maximum speed of 15 km/h on vehicles lighter than 2,5 ton. The main reason was to reduce costs for car reparation in case of crash in low speed. My diploma thesis is focused on the modifications of deformation part in the car alias absorption part of the vehicle. In the first part of my diploma thesis has been done a research about organisations doing basic car crashes as well as topic focused on nonlinear mechanics and description of explicit FEM. In the second part of my work are settled conditions for crash simulation of a barrier into the car. There is an evaluation of critical force on the stringer. Afterwards the calculating simulation simplified on loading of absorption part and there are some material and form adjustments. In the final part of my diploma thesis is done a result comparison and development of the absorption part.
Formula Car Impact Attenuator
Rupčík, Jan ; Svída, David (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with Formula Student Impact Attenuator design of TU Brno Racing team. The aim of the thesis is the design, the dynamic tests and the production of Impact Attenuator of racing formulas called Dragon 4 and Dragon 5, so to meet the Formula Student rules. The thesis deals further with FEM dynamic analysis of Impact Attenuator.
Formula Student Impact Attenuator Design
Bilík, Michal ; Dundálek, Radim (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with Formula Student Impact Attenuator design. The aim of the thesis is to select suitable material and put it to the test of deformation. From results to suggest dimensions of Impact Attenuator and then perform its test. Next aim of the thesis is to perform FEM analysis of Anti-Intrusion plate and supporting rack.
Passive Safety - Frontal Crash
Sendlerová, Kateřina ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Blaťák, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with passive safety, specifically passive safety in frontal crash. The thesis includes a research section in the field of passive safety, from history to a detailed description of the car body behaviour in the frontal crash. Accident rate with regards to the crew and pedestrian injuries is included as well. The result of this thesis is the measures proposal to improve passive safety in the traffic accidents not only of cars but the crew and pedestrians as well.
