Criminal law aspects of data electronization in healthcare Abstract Continuous spread of information and communication technologies into all aspects of everyday life goes hand in hand with importance of data and information. This trend can be also observed in the healthcare sector which has recently experienced massive electronization. However, along with electronization, respective criminal law aspects are developing as well. Relevancy of this issue can be clearly demonstrated on the recent cyber-attacks on healthcare providers, which seriously jeopardize valuable data in healthcare. The aim of this work is to set forth comprehensive summary of criminal aspects of data electronization in healthcare with emphasis on the importance of electronization phenomenon, the issue of cybercrime and selected crimes that may be committed in connection with data electronization. This work also aims at highlighting negative impact of electronization in the global information society. Bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of information security management system and evaluation of the current state using a created tool. The theoretical part contains the basic principles and concepts of the whole work. The chapter on the analysis of the current state introduces the organization and describes the current state of its information security management system. The actual design of the solution is a tool in the form of an Excel spreadsheet, which will allow an analysis of the current state of the ISMS implementation level in the company.

The introductory part of this thesis focuses on the theoretical background of information security, based on the series of standards ISO/IEC 27000. In the practical part, based on the application of theoretical knowledge, there is formulated a proposal of recommended steps health care facilities should take to compliance with the principles of information security.

Social security administration and personal data protection The protection of personal data is one of the most discussed legal topics of contemporary legal science. However, the attention of both the professional and general public has so far been focused on the processing of personal data carried out by private law entities. On the contrary, the author focuses on a topic that has been overlooked, namely the processing of personal data performed by social security administration authorities. This thesis aims to answer the question whether the processing carried out by selected authorities of the social security administration follows the principle of lawfulness according to data protection regulations and the Regulation (GDPR). The key aspect of the author's answer is primarily to assess the compliance of the current legislation in the area of sickness and pension insurance and passive employment policy with the requirements of the Regulation (GDPR). 1 RP - Big Data Legal Aspects, Martin Čapek, 2019 Abstract Herein presented paper focuses primarily on a complicated relationship between law and data as such, putting greater emphasis on individual legal aspects of use of the big volume data, so called "big data", and their key role for modern digital economy. The paper itself is divided into three main chapters. First chapter presents more general description of the big data phenomenon and at the same time it describes various possibilities of their use. In the second chapter, the big data as well as the data as such and their use are viewed through the lens of relevant areas of law. The final chapter uncovers a set of selected challenges to which, in general, the use of data faces in the digital world while attempting to outline their theoretical solutions. Within the scope of the first chapter the primary objective was to bring the big data phenomenon closer to the wider legal community without having been unnecessarily burdened with technical details. The bachelor thesis deals with security assessment in the area of data protection of a part of the information system in a selected company. In my thesis, I examine the security status and security controls in place and try to detect actual or potential vulnerabilities. Based on an analysis performed by means of interviews, using assisted assessment methodology and automated vulnerability-finding method, I suggest security enhancements. The theoretical part of the thesis provides an introduction to the topic of data protection and defines the basic related terms.
Selected issues in technological realization of European data protection

This thesis focuses on the legal regulation of selected aspects of the personal data protection at the European level. Fuelled by the technological progress, this area of legal regulation is becoming increasingly important, as the usage of personal data can be source of both innovation and economic progress, but it also has the potential to negatively impact individuals` rights ("chilling effect"). The thesis analyses the usage of big data and automated individual decision making; both phenomena are assessed through principles contained in GDPR. The aim of the thesis is to, as far as these two phenomena are concerned, evaluate functionality and perspectives of the European regulation. The thesis is, apart from the introduction and the conclusion, divided into three chapters. The first part briefly introduces the concept of the right to the protection of personal data and the fundamental legal framework of the European regulation. This chapter is followed by a chapter focused on the big data, in which, after a necessary technical introduction is made, current practices of data controllers are contrasted with corresponding principles of data protection regulation. Data protection in the EU - Biometric data The main aim of this thesis is to deal with the data protection in connection with the biometric data. In the first chapter, the author of this work deals with the historical context. The right to privacy even nowadays represents the solid ground of the data protection. Therefore, its de- limitation and subsequent connection with the data privacy is of an upmost importance for a proper understanding of this problematics. The author also deals with the data protection not only in the european context, but also with the disunited legislation in the US, where a legisla- tion in the context of general data protection regulation is absent. The second chapter mainly dealt with stating the general legal principles and their rel- evance to the legal order as well as with the special principles laid down in the regulation, which are mandatory to be upheld.
