Evaluation of technology for the biomass incineration.
Zahálka, Jiří ; Tabasová, Andrea (referee) ; Jícha, Jaroslav (advisor)
The bachelors thesis deals with biomass utilizations technologies, it presents their summary, descriptions and utilization. Other parts concentrated on biomass sources, ecological impact connected with biomass cultivation and its subsequent processing. Economic point of view and legislation are evaluated at the end of thesis.
Interactive effects of elevated CO2 concentration, drought and nitrogen nutrition on malting quality of spring barley
Simor, J. ; Klem, Karel ; Psota, V.
Elevated CO2 concentration [EC] generally leads to increased rates of photosynthesis, increased formation of assimilates and finally to storing them in the grain. Increased storage of starch in the grain, however, leads to an unbalanced proportion to the proteins, and their relative content decreases. This is particularly apparent in the conditions of nitrogen deficiency. The interactive effects of EC, nitrogen nutrition and reduced water availability are, however, not yet sufficiently understood. Within the manipulation experiment in open top chambers (Domaninek near Bystrice nad Pernstejnem) that allow simulation of EC (expected by the end of this century 700 ppm) and drought, the effect of these interactions on protein content, and other quality parameters of spring barley grain was studied. EC reduced grain protein content, increased extract, Kolbach index and also summary Malting quality index. Such effect was more pronounced under higher nitrogen dose, which generally worsened malting quality parameters. Reduced water availability slightly enhanced all malting quality parameters and also showed slight synergistic effect to EC. No clear interactive effects on malting quality were found for nitrogen nutrition and water availability.

Část 3.d: Šíření vybraných polutantů. Část 1: Vztah mezi zastoupením polyaromatických uhlovodíků v emisích a v matricích rostlinného původu. Část 2: Průnik polycyklických uhlovodíků a ftalátů v systému ovzduší - plodina - půda - sledování vybraných polycyklických aromatických uhlovodíků a některých ftalátů jako skupiny prioritních polutantů. Skupina PAH patří mezi standardní normativy rizikových látek ve složkách potravního řetězce člověka. Skupina ftalátů byla zkoumána vzhledem k toxikologické závažnosti jejich působení.
Optimizing the use of agricultural areas - a case study
Jirků, Šárka ; Kuncová, Martina (advisor) ; Kalčevová, Jana (referee)
This study deals with analysis of the agricultural company layout. The utilization of agricultural areas is optimized with such a sowing technique that leads to the highest harvest profit. All these issues are being solved by the conversion to the linear programming model which is the most resembling to the combination of production planning and allocation problem. A case study is based on actual data given by Agrofarma Týnec, s.r.o. company. The 48 sections of field in different proportion are taken in consideration as well as five different crops. The study tries to deal with more options taking in account different trade prices of set commodities and a hectare sowing limitation. The main model anticipates pessimistic trade prices expectations and does not restrict hectare sowing with single crops. The model is followed by the price coefficient analysis that gives the price level to be kept to let the computed solution be optimal. Lingo13.0 was used as an optimization software.
The phosphorus role in plants
Pavlíková, D. ; Pavlík, Milan ; Balík, J.
Phosphorus play very important role in plant metabolism. It is active as energy transporter and important structural component. Phosphate is relatively unavailable to plant roots. Thus plants have evolved several strategies for obtaining P from the soil. They can modify root structure and function, excrete root exudates helping with solubilization of P compounds in root rhizosphere.
