Design of a closed cooling circuit
Novotný, Tomáš ; Milčák, Pavel (referee) ; Kracík, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to design a closed cooling circuit for specific technologies of the power plant machinery room, namely lubricating oil system, power generator and high pressure hydraulic system. The main task is to provide heat dissipation from each system to a central heat exchanger, which is one of the objectives of the thesis design. The work is divided into three parts. The first part deals with the basic description of the cooling circuits and their division. In the second part, the basic components of the cooling circuit and their functions are presented. The principle of heat sharing is also presented. In the third part of the paper, the actual design of the closed cooling circuit is presented, which includes the design of the central heat exchanger. The work includes a model of the piping, which is based on a basic heat balance and P&ID diagram. AVEVA E3D software was used for its creation. Based on the piping isometry and pressure losses in the individual devices, the pressure loss of the circuit is determined. Another objective of the work is the design of the expansion vessel. The problem is solved by using software suitable for solving each part of the design. The output of the work is a refrigeration circuit meeting the requirements for the specified conditions.
Nuclear power plant cooling and condenser design
Caletka, Aleš ; Imrichová, Anna (referee) ; Milčák, Pavel (advisor)
The presented bachelor thesis deals with the thermal balance calculation of the cooling circuit of a nuclear power plant and the design of the basic dimensions of the condenser. For the computational part of the thesis, a nuclear power plant located in the Czech Republic was considered, utilizing a cooling tower with natural draft and a water-cooled condenser. The thermal calculation was based on the parameters of the external environment - temperature, pressure, and humidity, and the steam flow, which were used to determine the parameters necessary for the condenser design - cooling water flow rate, inlet and outlet temperature of the cooling water, and pressure in the condenser. The condenser design was considered with straight tubes of 22x0,5 dimensions. Thermal and pressure losses in the condenser were neglected in the calculation. The result of the design calculation was a length of one tube of 22,8 m and a total heat exchange surface area of 88 100,436 m2. Within the theoretical part of the thesis, the technology of cooling nuclear power plants was introduced, and possible technological solutions of cooling towers were discussed.
System for Recording and Reporting Fault States of Cooling Devices
Jašek, Filip ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design and creation of a system for recording and reporting error states of cooling devices on the principle of a compressor heat pump. An important element of the concept of the entire monitoring system is a built-in platform based on the ESP32 microcontroller for evaluating data measured by sensors. Another key element is the communication module, which sends measured data via GPRS in the form of MQTT messages to the service web application. The application receives, evaluates and records measured data. Subsequently are measured data and evaluated error states presented to the user in the form of tables and interactive graphs.
Control system for circle of coolig water
Kouřil, Jan ; Chomát, Luděk (referee) ; Pivoňka, Petr (advisor)
Main focus of bachelor thesis is to present practical construction of cooling circuit in customer quenching room, in all it's wide. From simple introduction to technological background (cooled technologies) and construction of circuit itself (cooling technologies), up to electronics control units, control algorithm and finaly IBM/PC based visualization under Control Web enviroment.
The influence of heat sources to microclimate in indoors space
Janková, Martina ; Ell, Jiří (referee) ; Rubina, Aleš (advisor)
This master thesis with the influence of heat sources to microclimate in indoor space. The aim of the thesis was to make the calculations of the dynamic behavior in indoor space and suggest ventilation systems for exhaust heat load. for found values. In the practical part of the thesis, individual systems are describing and then they are valorizing in accordance with energy intensity and thermal comfort.
Compressors for refrigeration equipment
Perejda, Michal ; Sekanina, Bohumil (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
The work is devoted to the problematic of compressors for refrigeration equipment with a focus on industrial refrigeration and medium performance output requirements. Reader receives a basic overview of the construction, operating cycle, pressure and temperature process and the compressor performance control options of the three in engineering practice most common types of compressors: reciprocating, screw and scroll. It describes the basic elements and actions of the cooling circuit within the information range most important for understanding the compressor operating cycle. This work includes thermodynamic analysis of the reciprocating compressor working cycle and shows practical application of compression device in real operation. The goal of this work is to provide the reader with a description of the thermodynamic process in the compressor, a comprehensive and systematic overview of the types of compressors used in practice and compare their characteristics, advantages and disadvantages.
Cooling systems in transport vehicles
Andrlík, Ladislav ; Fojtlín, Miloš (referee) ; Tuhovčák, Ján (advisor)
The purpose of this work is to examine currently used types of automobile cooling systems. This examination is presented in the form of a search report. The history of air conditioning is briefly described in the introduction of this work. The work then deals with the classification and description of cooling systems and their partial components which are complemented by pictures for better visualization. The primary focus is on the types and constructions of the compressors since the compressor is the fundamental element of all air conditioning circuit. The work concludes with information about coolants and adequate oil in use in relation to their ecological impact.
Energy evaluation of systems VRF
Gašpár, Juraj ; Hanyk, Kamil (referee) ; Rubina, Aleš (advisor)
This master thesis deals with VRF systems, which are used for extensive commercial and office buildings, or for buildings where there are multiple zones with different required parameters. The aim of the thesis is to explain the functions of the system and their evaluation and inclusion into energy classes according to the new legislation. The practical part deals with an application of the VRF system and its variants in the building of bank branch. The comparison of initials costs and resultant costs to operate the system. The experiment focuses on comparison of the measured values of VRF system and their comparison with data from the manufacturer.
Design of new cooling circuit
Albert, Tomáš ; Milčák, Pavel (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This diploma thesis introduces the reader to the design of the new cooling circuit and its modernization. Part of this is the calculation of the heat exchanger and the design of other parts, such as pumps or cooling towers. It also deals with the possibility of using waste heat for specific conditions.
Survey of the use of propane as refrigerant R290 in cooling circuits and heat pumps
Aminian, Ali ; Prokopová, Olga ; Vinš, Václav
The technical report presents a review on the application of propane as refrigerant R290 in cooling circuits and heat pumps (HVAC). Safety risks of R290 used in HVAC are addressed according to ANSI/ASHRAE and EN standards. Comparison of thermophysical properties of propane with other refrigerants, solubility and miscibility of propane in compressor oils and heat transfer in condenser and evaporator are discussed. The main aim of the study is to provide an overview about the potential use of propane in the cooling circuit and heat pump for the hydrogen bus developed by the SOR Libchavy company.
