Plausible Effects of the Adoption of the Euro on the Czech economy: Comparison with the case of the Slovac Republic

This master thesis deals with the euro adoption in the Czech Republic, comparing the possible effects of the euro adoption on the Czech economy and consequences of currency changeover after the Slovak Republic joined the eurozone in 2009. After introducing the theoretical concepts inevitable for the euro adoption, the process of preparation for the currency changeover in the Slovak Republic and the currency changeover itself will be described. Subsequently, the work focuses on the conditions which the Czech government has already met in the process of preparation for the euro adoption and which still need to be fulfilled. In addition, the Czech Republic's economic alignment with euro area countries is analyzed, especially focusing on particular areas. A significant part of this work deals with the comparison of positive and negative effects of the euro adoption in the Slovak Republic with possible impacts of euro on the Czech Republic. In the end, the emphasis is put on the strength of the Czech economy to deal with the possible future financial crisis.
Maastricht convergence criteria and their fulfillment by the Czech Republic

Fulfillment of Maastricht criteria is essential in order to enter Eurozone which currently consists of 18 member states. The main objective of this thesis is to assess preparedness of the Czech Republic for adopting common European currency. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter describes development of monetary integration in Europe and nominal and real convergence criteria. In the second chapter, some thoughts about the possible impact of adopting euro by the Czech Republic are provided. The subject of last chapter is the analysis itself of fulfillment of Maastricht convergence criteria by the Czech Republic through the period from 2010 to 2016. In addition, this chapter describes economic alignment of the Czech Republic with the Eurozone and the acceptance of euro by the Czech Republic.
Supranational Currency as a Form of Money

In the work I deal with describing the origin of money from the exchange of goods for other goods across commodity trade, the first coins and banknotes, up to today's cash and cashless form of money. Also I will indicate the meaning and function of money for humans. In the main part I will devote a common currency the euro. I will describe what the conditions are for receive and advantages and disadvantages. The main objective of this work is to determine if the euro changes the country's economy and stabilizes her. For comparison I chose five countries. For countries that use the euro I will describe the process by which they had to pass before they received. I will evaluate countries using some macroeconomic indicators. On the base of results I will recommend whether Czech Republic has to receive the euro as soon as possible or wait.
Fulfilment of the Maastricht Convergence Criteria by the Czech Republic for the Entry to the Eurozone

Bachelor thesis devotes to the fulfilment of Maastricht convergence criteria by the Czech Republic. The first chapter refers to the history of the European monetary integration up to the formation of European monetary system. Second chapter concerns the establishment of the Eurozone and defines Maastricht convergence criteria. Third chapter analyses fulfilment of the criteria by the Czech Republic; compares possible advantages and disadvantages of the united currency and describes the strategy of joining the Czech Republic to the monetary union. The last chapter concerns the current crisis of the Eurozone and opinions about the euro area.
Development of GDP in the Czech republic beforre and after joining EU

The aim of thesis is to describe development of the GDP, its components and other corresponding indicators. The experimental part describes development of the indicators during 1993 - 2010, analyses of performance on convergence criteria, analyses of the Czech Republic' competitiveness and evaluating the benefits of EU accession. In the conclusion data were analyzed using regression analysis of two periods, before and after joining EU.

More than twenty years after the independence declaration, Republic of Croatia is facing the second biggest step in its history- entry to the European Union. European Union, the world's trade leader, has recognized Croatia as a reliable partner in the future affairs. Croatia shall become a 28th member of the integration on July 1st, 2013. Croatia has experienced many obstacles on the path to the European Union, trying to align its system with the EU's comprehensive legislation. The aim of this thesis is therefore to provide an extensive analysis of the Croatian path to the European Union and to apply the solutions on the further development not only of Croatia but also the remaining candidate countries of the European Union.
A single currency in terms of France and Germany

The objective of this thesis is to find out on the example of the core countries of the Euro area - France and Germany, if a single european currency is a sufficient assumption for economic stability of the selected countries and of the Euro area. The theoretical part outlines historical consequences of the creation of a single european currency and the roles of France and Germany in the European integration. The practical section contains an analysis of impacts of introducing the single european currency. Particular impacts of the adoption of common currency are assessed on inflation, on inhabitants, on international business with France and Germany and on economic growth.
Causes, impacts and solutions of the Greek financial crisis

This thesis deals with the analysis of the Greek crisis and with the shape of the Greek economy before the crisis. Furthermore, this work focuses on development in other European Union countries that have found themselves in similar problems, as the Greek ones. The final part of this thesis deals with provisional solutions of this crisis, at both national and international level. The thesis is divided into three main parts, which are gradually focused on meeting the objectives above.
