Perglerová, Jitka ; Kořínek, Pavel (advisor) ; Mocná, Dagmar (referee)
Presented bachelor's degree thesis contains an analysis of the comic book adaptation of Too Loud a Solitude by French authors Lionel Tran, Ambre and Valérie Berge. It focuses primarily on influence of specific components of comic books form on Hrabal- s poetic expression, that is accomplished primarily with various size of panels and its unfold, distribution of units and details, but also with the style of drawing and with complete text- and picture element cooperation. It demonstrates, that with an apposite aplication of these elements delicate nuances of Hrabal- s poetic expression can be also varied and that some meanings (originaly textuelly inzerent)are further strenghtened with these elements. Further attention is then dedicated to the time- and culture shifts, that this adaptation also devolops end employs.
The 20th century as seen by the cartoon reporter Tintin: reflections of the contemporary context of his adventures
Kulda, Tomáš ; Rak, Jiří (advisor) ; Pelánová, Anita (referee)
This work is showing that the Adventures of Tintin are not only an entertaining series, but that it also contains an important amount of political and social issues, which, given to its popularity, could have influenced the development of its young readers' political thoughts. This thesis is supported by showing the presence of a wide range of connections between the content of different episodes and their historical context. The point is also made on the changes brought by new editions, as they are most often connected precisely to these political topics. Finally, it shows that it is still a lively issue, despite the fact that the last episode was published more than thirty five years ago.
