Assessment of road traffic signs on selected cross sections
Vaclík, Adam ; MBA, Martin Tóth, (referee) ; Varaus, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to verify the accuracy of the location of the vertical road signs at selected intersections and to consider colorimetric and retroreflective properties of some of them. If some brands fail, it is necessary to propose solutions. At the end of this work there is a summary of how many brands fail and subsequent percentaual quantification.
Ozone gas-fading of photographs
Védlová, Petra ; Kozáková, Zdenka (referee) ; Veselý, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with principels of inkjet printing, ink composition and print media. The paper also focuses on stability of inkjet prints, degradation of inks by ambient impacts, mechanisms of such degradations and protection against degradation. The experimental section examines the impact of ozone on gas-fading of injekt prints, which is one of the most important factors by degradation of dyes for both clasic prints and prints with protective varnish. In conclusion two methods for assessing dye degradation – colorimetric (by calculating the volume of the color gamut) and densitometric (by calculating optical densities) – are investigated and compared.
Colorimeter
Škoda, Pavel ; Janáková, Ilona (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
This thesis deals with the analysis of the color parameters for their subsequent use in the design of the device, which will be used to measure their stability in continuous production. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts and knowledge needed to understand the problems. In addition, there are described individual components and sensors suitable for color measurement. The practical part deals mainly with the descrip- tion of the construction of the colorimeter, its individual parts and the creation of the control program. At the end, there are results of the testing of the product and their overall assessment
Comparison of plasma activated water quality prepared by different plasma systems
Staškovanová, Denisa ; Krčma, František (referee) ; Kozáková, Zdenka (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with generation of reactive species (hydrogen peroxide, nitrates, nitrites) using various plasma systems in distilled and tap water. Prepared plasma activated water differs in the way the plasma is applied, namely plasma above the water surface, plasma inside water or bubbling of plasma gaseous products into water. The main goal is to determine the amount of species produced in different plasma systems and compare them with each other. The effect of ozonizer experimental conditions on the generated amount of reactive species is also monitored.
Gamut mapping algorithms in color management
Svoboda, Jan ; Říha, Kamil (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis deals with colors - their representation in digital devices and how to provide the best color preservation accross different devices. In the first part of the work, the knowledge of colors and human vision is briefly summarized. Then color models and color spaces are elaborated, mainly those device independent. Spectrum of colors viewable or printable on a device - the gamut - is different for every device and there's a need of precise reproduction or record of color. That's why the system of color management is described further and especially the gamut mapping approaches and algorithms are mentioned. In the second part of the work, the implementation of how two algorithms of color gamut mapping (HPMINDE, SCLIP) can be implemented in MATLAB is described. In the third and last part of the work, the results of implemented algorithms are presented and discussed. These results are compared to results of commonly used color gamut mapping technique (Adobe Photoshop).
Control and monitoring of parameters in microfluidic systems
Meloun, Jan ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Čmiel, Vratislav (advisor)
This thesis discusses the construction of Microfluidic systems for a microscope. The theoretical part of this thesis deals with cell and its survival in the environment. Furthermore, light, light’s behavior and optical spectral analysis in some methods is discussed. Also, the use of the development platform Arduino with wireless data transfer for data visualization is mentioned. Methods for measuring pH are mentioned as well. The practical part is dedicated to the construction of the Microfluidic system with the use of Arduino, smart mobile devices and a developed mobile application including controlling liquid flow with the measured data visualization.
Quantitive optical analysis using cell phone
Petlák, Daniel ; Svoboda, Ondřej (referee) ; Čmiel, Vratislav (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis discusses methods for the quantitative colorimetric analysis using a cell phone and a design of my own analyzer. Theoretical part deals with basic characteristics of light and division of optical spectral analysis, which is described by several optical methods. The bachelor’s thesis also contains the division of colorimetric analyzers according to their types. The most important part is focused on a colorimetric analysis using the cell phone and familiar with the possibilities of analysis of liquids and solid samples. The practical part deals with the design of a separate analyzer using the cell phone, developed application including the possibility of calibration values of prepared samples and subsequent evaluation of ion concentration in unknown sample. For the accuracy of the results is made dark light-tight cover printed by 3D printer.
Water quality analysis using colorimetry
Kovaldová, Eliška ; Zumberg, Inna (referee) ; Čmiel, Vratislav (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the analysis of water quality using colorimetry. Part of the work is an introduction to the physical and chemical parameters of water, as well as optical methods, which include photometry, spectrophotometry and colorimetry, and an introduction to regression analysis. These methods and analysis are followed by a practical part by measuring pH, nitrate and water hardness using a spectrophotometer and an AS7262 visible light sensor with a SparkFun development board. At the end of the work there is a comparison of absorption spectra, calibration curves and linear regression parameters of both methods.

Optical evaluation of corrosion products using colorimetric spectroscopy
Majtás, Dušan ; Fialová, P.
Aim of this work is to test possibility to utilize colorimetric spectroscopy for monitoring the corrosion of lead and tin-lead alloys. And furthermore method suitability for preliminary corrosion evaluation of cultural heritage objects. According to literature colorimetry is used to monitor patinas of bronze objects, thus the method might be also suitable for lead based alloys. Samples used were made from commercially produced lead plate. These were exposed in the climatic chamber to different relative humidity (60, 80, 90 %). After the exposure the corrosion products with different color formed on sample surface. These corrosion products were evaluated by different methods: optical microscopy, colorimetric spectroscopy, and X-ray chemical analysis. Collected colorimetric data display difference between treatments suitable for patina evolution monitoring. The paper presents obtained results and comparison of applied methods.
