Analysis, selection and implementation of CPM solution for a small company

This thesis is devoted to the modern management concept of Corporate Performance Management (CPM, enterprise performance management) and its implementation in selected small company. The first part focuses on the description of the concept of CPM and its individual components (processes, methodologies, metrics and applications). The theoretical part also deals with selected implementation procedures and available CPM maturity models. In the second part a particular small company is introduced to the reader, together with its activities, organizational structure and the reasons behind their interest in CPM. It is then followed by an analysis of the company, its CPM maturity and proposed steps for CPM implementation. These steps are based on the framework presented in this work, which was created by combining different approaches to CPM implementation and available CPM maturity model. The third part, devoted to the implementation of CPM, starts with an analysis of the CPM in the cloud market, followed by a review of two selected solutions. To select the appropriate application, a multi-criterion model is created. The description of actual implementation, and evaluation of its results are included in the last chapter.
Possibilities of the team collaboration via cloud tools

Subject of my bachelor work is a comparison of different ways of collaboration via cloud services. I focused on meaning of the ?collaboration? and ways of collaboration in the past and the present. I tried to define a form of collaboration in future too. But first of all, I dealt with collaboration via cloud. I also compared chosen services on specific problem and looked for their positives and negatives. Testing was performed using real sports club in České Budějovice.

The Business plan of CZCloud

The target of the theoretical part is to provide an outlook in enterprising, describe optimal structure and a content of business plans and to give some recommendations regarding its elaboration. The practical part of this document includes the business plan elaborated by myself. This business plan describes an opportunity and business advantages of commercial providing IT infrastructure and hardware as a service. My goal is detailed description of essential elements of this enterprise, providing a market analysis, a customer targeting and an optimal resource planning. Furthermore I want to prove that the human resources planning is an essence even in the business with highly advanced IT technologies.
Use of BI as a Service

This thesis is focused on Business Intelligence systems built on Software as a Service principles. It describes structure of this solution, it's advantages and risks and shows its benefits for the organization at the same time. These are described in two chapters, as a cost comparison of both models and as real implementation case study. First chapters are dedicated to architecture of traditional BI systems describing its components and history. Next chapter is about Cloud and as a Service technology which played a vital role in switching to BI as a Service followed by chapter about BI as a Service itself. This includes explanations of gains and potential risks and focuses on benefits of this architecture. There is a remark of certain non-confidents towards BI SaaS mostly because of the cloud part. Next chapter introduces some of the most important or most-known providers of this service followed by case study showing situation in a real company. The contribution of this thesis is mostly in its applicative part where I try to prove that BI as a Service not only supplements traditional BI solution but makes a full-value alternative.
Motivation of small and medium businesses for cloud solutions adoption

Focus of this diploma thesis is on cloud computing topic. Cloud computing is current trend that changes the method of IT services providing. The concept of cloud computing model is based on a provision of IT resources through services. This model offers companies many advantages. The aim of this diploma thesis is to provide an overview of the motivational forces, barriers and their solution in the transition of small and medium businesses to products in the cloud. The theoretical part deals with economic and technological aspects arising from the use of cloud computing model. The next stage is provided with an overview of adoption of cloud computing services in the Czech Republic and current trends. The practical part is focused on the research of motivation aspects and barriers resulting from adoption services built on the cloud computing concept. The main contribution of this thesis is primarily in providing an overview of motivational aspects and research-based barriers in the environment of Czech companies. This overview could help to these company representatives, who are considering deployment of cloud based services, but are struggling with the barriers that this model brings.
Hardware trends and their application in corporate sphere

This work deals with IT market (especially hardware) and tracks its trends and development. In the first chapters assesses the current status and future development of strategic hardware components. Software technologies (that affect the hardware) are also mentioned. These are Cloud computing, operating systems and the Internet. In addition, all relevant factors (that should be taken into account when choosing a computer) are included. For example the choice between desktop and laptop, or Mac and PC (Windows). In the next section, the typical corporate roles are analysed according to their computer performance requirements. The hardware recommendations for the individual user roles is the main purpose of this work
SaaS in corporate ICT - consequences, changes, opportunities

This thesis is focused on analyzing the current state of SaaS (Software as a Service) and impact of SaaS on corporate's ICT as a whole. The aim is to explain the concepts and implications of modern forms of providing services, to describe and to evaluate their benefits and risks and to assess future developments in this area. The attention will be paid on specifics of the environment of Czech companies. The first part of this work deals with the current SaaS solutions and related technologies. Emphasis is placed on acquainting the reader with currently available (or introduced by mid-2011) technologies and their mutual relationships. This section also summarizes the current level of knowledge of the field and on this basis provides definitions of areas and technologies. The next part of the thesis focuses on a particular cloud and SaaS solutions available on nowadays market. The next part of this section is based on a specific case study of a small company, which considers the move to SaaS solutions. This section is focused on the practical application of the preceding conclusions. Last section aims at the prediction of development of ICT business in the upcoming years, with an emphasis on SaaS and related technologies. The second part is trying to find answers to the questions "Whether," "When" and "How" will SaaS affect the market of information technologies, their deployment and business models of future anticipated expansion model of Software as a Service. SaaS maturity model is also discussed as well as specificity of the Czech market.
