Possibilities of evaluating the effect of rehabilitation aimed at improving postural stability in adults.
Heřmanská, Dagmar ; Stříbrný, Martin (advisor) ; Kolář, Jáchym (referee)
The paper deals with the comparison of different options for assessing the effect of physiotherapy aimed mainly at improving postural stability in adult patients. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis defines postural stability, its optimal function in physiological situations and the most common pathologies. The clinical consequences of postural stability disorders and their treatment options are discussed. The most frequent consequence of insufficient postural stability is chronic low back pain (in the English literature "LBP"). The knowledge about the possibilities of clinical evaluation of the effect of physiotherapy is discussed. It is a subjective assessment by the patient, using PROM questionnaires (Patient- reported Outcome Measures) and DNS manual. Furthermore, the possibilities of objective assessment-dynamometry (DNS Brace device), Moiré and Pedoscan are described. The paper describes the principle of these devices and evaluates their advantages and disadvantages in clinical practice. The practical part contains case reports of two patients with chronic LBP. The patients are evaluated with the above mentioned procedures before and after a series of six hourly therapies with weekly frequency. The therapy was performed at the Pavel Kolar Center for Movement Medicine under the...
A Case Study of Physiotherapy on a Patient with Vertebral Algic Syndrome of the Lower Spine
Šauerová, Lucie ; Novotná, Irena (advisor) ; Nováková, Tereza (referee)
Author: Lucie Šauerová Supervisor: Mgr. Irena Novotná Title: A Case Study of Physiotherapy on a Patient with Vertebral Algic Syndrome of the Lower Spine Objectives: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to provide a comprehensive summary of theoretical information related to lower back pain. The work includes a list of the most suitable diagnostic and therapeutic methods to this issue. Lastly, the thesis provides a case study of physiotherapeutic care for a patient with lower back pain. Methods: Throughout the duration of the case study, I applied physiotherapeutic methods and procedures that I had acquired during my three-year study of physiotherapy at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport in Charles University. Results: The effectiveness of physiotherapeutic care was assessed by comparing the patient's initial and final kinesiological assessment, which are summarized in the chapter titled "Evaluation of Therapy Effect". The therapy had a favorable impact on the patient's overall condition. Conclusion: This bachelor's thesis is based upon continuous professional practice. The first part of the thesis focuses on theoretical knowledge related to the problem of lower back pain. The second part of the thesis is dedicated to a specific case study of a patient suffering from this syndrome. This...
Somatognosis in patients with chronic vertebrogenic disorders
Křikavová, Alena ; Kolář, Pavel (advisor) ; Lepšíková, Magdaléna (referee)
This thesis called "Somatognosia by the chronic back pain patients" summarizes in its theoretical part the information about the concept of one's own body perception and clears up the terms body image and body schema in various contexts. The experimental part of the thesis includes testing of somatognosia on two sets. This research aims to compare the level and quality of somatognosia by the chronic back pain sufferers and healthy individuals. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Zonn, Alexandra ; Maršáková, Kateřina (advisor) ; Dušánek, Tomáš (referee)
Author: Alexandra Zonn Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with low back pain Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to consolidate and summarize theoretical information related to the issue of the pain in the lumbar area of the spine. Listing out appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic methods and approaches. Elaboration of a case study report of physiotherapeutic care for a patient according to given difficulties. Methods: Physiotherapeutic methods and procedures, achieved during my three-year study experience of physiotherapy at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, at Charles University, were applied while elaborating a current case study report. Summary: Current Bachelor's thesis was developed on the basis of completing a continuous professional practice at the University Hospital Královské Vinohrady in the period from 6.1. to 31.1.2020. The first part of the work is general and summarizes theoretical issues related to the issue of the pain in the lumbar area of the spine. The second part of the work is devoted to the elaboration of a case study report of a patient according to given difficulties. The case study report was constructed from the initial and final examination, process of the therapy and the final evaluation of the results. Keywords:...

The influence of targeted treatment on stereognosis and somatognosis in patients with chronic vertebrogenic algic syndrome
Svobodová, Alena ; Lepšíková, Magdaléna (advisor) ; Čech, Zdeněk (referee)
This diploma thesis called "The impact of individual physiotherapy on stereognosis and somatognosis in patients with chronic back pain" contains basic knowledge about stereognostic and somatognostic function, it summarizes significant information about pain and the development of its chronic form, and last but not least it states possible causes of back pain disorders and its functional factors. One special part of the thesis describes non-standardized tests used to examine 21 probands who had been diagnosed chronic back pain and particularly it compares the results of these two examinations, the first of which was carried out before the beginning of physiotherapy and the second one carried out after 14 days of physiotherapeutic treatment. The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the impact of physiotherapy on stereognosis and somatognosis of patients with chronic back pain. All types of medical examination were tested without visual check. As a part of the medical examination a short form of McGill ́s questionnaire and a visual analogue scale indicating the intensity of pain were to be filled in by the probands to explicate their subjective feelings. The results of all but two tests improved after 14 days of physiotherapy, the therapy impact on function of stereognosis and somatognosis of patients with...
