Critical Analysis of Consumer Demand with Regard to Economic Development in the Czech Republic

Master´s thesis deals with problems of consumer behaviour in the Czech republic. Theoretical part of thesis defines basic concepts and data, which relate to consumer demand and information necessary to understand the analysis part. The following part deals with critical analysis of consumer basket and spending costs of households in different commodities. Analytic part is also aimed at economic development and according to it we can deduce reactions of households and related consumer behaviour. At the end the thesis is completed by suggestions to reduce excess spending expenditures, which are recommendation for citizens of the Czech republic.
Consumer behavior in relation to their lifestyle.

The bachelor thesis analyzes the purchasing behavior of young people according to their lifestyle and influence on the quality of their meals. The first part is focused on the theoretical backgrounds that relate to the given issues. In the theory is interpretation of terms such as young people, lifestyle, nutrition, market psychology, consumer or marketing. The second part of the bachelor thesis is then focused on marketing research through a questionnaire survey. Here was the goal to find out whether young people, especially in Western Bohemia, are interested in a healthy lifestyle.
Holiday Buying Behavior of Residents of South Bohemia

This diploma thesis focuses on holiday buying behavior of residents of South Bohemia. The aim of the diploma thesis was to analyse and evaluate buying behavior of residents of the Region of South Bohemia during holiday planning and the holiday itself and to give recommendations to businesses working in tourism. First, terms concerning tourism, buying behavior, market segmentation and marketing research are explained in the theoretical part. Thereafter marketing research was conducted to gain the necessary data by questionnaire. The questionnaire results were converted into charts and graphs in Microsoft Excel and described in the practical part. The presented hypotheses were accepted or rejected on the basis of the evaluation of the received data in Microsoft Excel and the statistical program Statistica. The data analysis of the questionnaire and statistically significant differences served as the basis for summarising recommendations for businesses in the tourist sector focusing on single segments in the holiday market.
The influence of marketing on the customer at food choices

The thesis deals with the influence of marketing on the customer in the choice of food. It examines whether the influence of marketing prevails over customer´s own judgment about the choice of appropriate food for daily use in terms of monitoring its nutritional composition. The theoretical part deals with the basics of marketing, with a lot of attention being paid to food goods, food labeling, nutrition and the quality of food products, which can greatly affect the quality of life. The research was conducted through a questionnaire survey. The obtained data are processed in the form of tables and graphs, supplemented with verbal commentary. The validity of the set hypotheses is statistically evaluated and processed. Based on the results of the research, at the end of the thesis, the factors influencing the purchasing decision and the individual preferences of the respondents in the food selection are evaluated. The appendix provides an overview of practical information and general advice that should help shoppers to make choices when purchasing basic foods and to better understand the information given on individual product packaging.

The bachelor thesis analyzes the purchasing behavior of consumers depending on their lifestyle and related diet quality in terms of regional food. The first part is devoted to theoretical bases, which are related to this issue. It consists of interpretation of basic concepts, such as consumer, lifestyle and regional food. The second part focuses on marketing research survey in form of questionnaire. The aim here is to determine whether the population of the Czech Republic cares about healthy lifestyle and related diet quality in terms of regional food.
The influence of children on buying decision making of parents

The diploma thesis deals with the influence of children on buying decision making of their parents. For this purpose, the thesis is divided into four parts, the first three parts being theoretical. The introductory chapter focuses on the personality of a person in connection with consumer behavior of adults. Adult buying and consumer behavior, as well as buying decision process, including its phases, are further included in the second chapter. The third chapter describes the family and its impact on buying decisions, specifies children as consumers and focuses on their influence on the buying decisions of parents. In the last, practical part of the thesis, was conducted a research to find out the impact of children on the buying decisions of their parents.

Fair trade coffee on the Czech market

This bachelor thesis deals with the fair trade coffee on the Czech market. The theoretical review presents basic information about coffee, about the system of fair trade and finally about the fair trade coffee. The practical part is focused on the identification of the available trading range and the consumer´s attitudes to the system of fair trade. At first, the research is conducted by a questionnaire research for consumers, at second by the research in selected retail units and at third through a pen and paper interview with a coffee-roasting plant employee. Based on the questionnaire survey, it is possible to define consumer´s knowledge of fair trade products (mainly coffee) and their buying behavior. The research in stores is used to define the offer of fair trade coffee on the Czech market. The pen and paper interview investigates the reasons of the coffee-roasting plant for their involvement in the system of fair trade and the question of profitability.
The Influence of Corporate Social Responsibility on Consumer Behaviour

There has been a lot of literature written about the concept of corporate social responsibiilty (CSR). However, not enough attention is paid to the impact of this concept on consumer behavior. Based on reference literature, empirical research, and the author's own research, this thesis examines and analyzes the influence of CSR on consumer buying behavior through awareness, perception and evaluation. It is also focused on the factors that influence the incorporation of CSR into the buying criteria. This thesis attempts to answer the question, whether the CSR is taken into consideration by buying decision making, or not.
