Analysis of a selected segment of the ICT market: the market for IT specialists on temporary projects in the CR

This bachelor work focuses on market analysis with IT specialists for temporary projects in Czech Republic. The aim of this work is characteristic of companies that use IT specialists in the CR, presenting experience learned in recruiting IT professionals for projects and evaluation of current state of this market in the CR. In the general section I focus on the characteristics of IT companies using IT expects for pro-jects and on various types of contractual relationships that are used in this market In the practical part I describe the experience of people working on this market for a long time, analyze resources used to detect these experts as well as specific experience from the project where these specialists work. The whole work is practically designed to help people, who want to learn about this market segment more information.
Analysis of certifications in the field of software development

The goal of this work is to map the most important certifications available in the Czech Republic in selected fields of software development and its practice usage. It was used data collection method directly in practice and work with sources to achieve set of goals. Certification information is always obtained primarily from official sources of certification and software companies or test centers. I have gained much valuable information from interview with colleagues who work in the field for several years. The main contribution of this thesis is to summarize information about certifications, its translations into Czech language and introduction of the benefits of practice usage of certifications. Another benefit of my work is mapping courses that are appropriate for easy to obtain the certification - it is very useable for students of University of Economics. I have also contributed my own experience in this work. The work is divided into eight chapters. Chapter Certification in General is crucial and explains chat the certifications are, their strengths and in what fields certificates are most common and desired. Other chapters are devoted to individual fields of software development. At the beginning of each part are the most common certification systems available and especially the description of the most important certifications.
Software development in financial institutions, compare inhouse and outsourcing

This thesis deals with the problems of using outsourcing in software development for financial institutions. The thesis is divided into two parts -- theoretical issues and practical issues. The theoretical section is comprised of the first three chapters with the first describing the process of software development -- the life cycle of software, the prominent disciplines and roles involved in software development, the methods of software development and IT Governance. The second chapter defines the specifics which influence the method which is used in software development for financial institutions. The last chapter of the theoretical section deals with the concept of outsourcing - here is the definition of the term, its history, the reasons the financial sector uses outsourcing for software development and the risks thereby incurred. In addition to this, the advantages and limitations of individual models of outsourcing are also described namely regarding geography and the service o be provided. The practical section is comprised of the survey the aim of which was to acquire an insight into the issues of using outsourcing both from the point of view of the domestic financial sector as the client and from the point of view of the IT service provider. The surveys are included with this thesis.
