The development of the birth rate and preschool education in the Czech Republic after 1950

The development of the birth rate and preschool education in the Czech Republic after 1950 Abstract The main aim of the thesis is to map in detail the development of preschool education and financial support for families with children in the Czech Republic in the context of the development of birth rate after 1950. The development of birth rate in the thesis is not only analyzed by using basic indicators, but also through deeper decomposition methods. It turns out, that quality and availability of all network preschool institutions in the context has a certain role in the birth rate. The reconciliation of work and family is very important for lots of parents and sufficient offer of preschool care can help it. However, the demand for preschool institutions exceeded supply, as was shown in accordance with obtained data. It was also found out by the insight into the outcomes of surveys that the vast majority of respondents do not think that a preschool child of working mother would be suffering. In the future, should not only expand the capacity of childcare facilities as well as other options for facilitation of reconciling work and family life, such as better offer of flexible working hours. Parental leave in Dresden and Leipzig with the focus of fathers involvement as an example for successful family politic

In recent years Germany had to deal with demographical changes on his own territory, pointing an increasingly aging population and on the other hand with a low birth rate that could not normalize this trend. Family policy deals with these issues because one of its current goals is to raise birth rates and ensure and strengthen the position of women in the market. As a possible solution, the family policy sees it in the contribution of men to the share of parental leave. Therefore this diploma thesis will have this topic in the focus. The turning point for Germany and especially for fathers was the year 2007 when the so called "Elterngeld" was introduced with the goal to encourage men to take parental leave and support the woman with raising children. Thanks to this fact that a man help a woman with an upbringing child and household, to women is given the possibility to return to the working environment earlier (at least for a half-time job). This partnership should ensure greater stability in the relationship and possibly ensuring next offspring that Germany necessarily needs. Since 2007 can be noticed interesting numbers of men entering the parental leave. Noteworthy is that one of the highest figures is reported by Saxony with Dresden and Leipzig. Population development in Sweden since 1960 Abstract This diploma thesis deals with the population development in Sweden between 1960 and 2018. The main goal of this work is to evaluate in the context of selected demographic characteristics the course of demographic changes that appeared in the country after 1960. The result is changes in the level of demographic reproduction, which are referred to as the second demographic transition. From the 1960s to the present, Sweden has seen an increase in the average age at first marriage, an increase in the average age of the mother giving birth and an increase in the number of divorces. During the observed period, the Swedish population aged, the share of the pre-productive component of the population decreased, while the share of the post-productive component in the population increased. The development of total fertility in Sweden is often compared to a roller coaster due to its specific fluctuation. From 1960 to 2018, Sweden saw a decline in mortality rates, especially in the older age groups and up to one year of age, which was reflected in the values of life expectancy at birth that grew for both men and women. The development of marriage rate and divorce rate in the Czech Republic in 1989-2017

The bachelor thesis deals with the development of marriage rate and divorce rate in the Czech Republic between 1989 and 2017. In the theoretical part is defined the basic concepts and concepts connected with social and family policy, and the basic demographic indicators associated with this work are described. The practical part focuses on the development of marriage rate and divorce rate in the Czech Republic and regions. The development of the causes of the marriage breakdown and the influence of minors on divorce rate are also characterized. Considerable attention is paid to the development of birth rates and subsequent regression analysis describes the effect of marriage rate and divorce rate on the number of live births. The last part deals with development of gross domestic product in the Czech Republic and its relation to marriage rate and divorce rate. Finally, the work summarizes the findings and the development of marriage and divorce related to changes in society after the fall of the political regime in 1989.

Changes in birth rate with focus on the birth weight Abstract The aim of the thesis was the study of birth weight from the second half of the last century to the present. Development and current situation of the birth weight was divided into two separate chapters, according to the vitality to live born and stillborn. Both live born and stillborn was analyzed according to characteristics of newborn. Detailed elaboration was focused on infant sex, marital status, and education of mother. The aim was also to describe factors impacting birth weight. These were divided into three groups, demographic and constitutional, obsteric factors and lifestyle factors, and there were detailed described. Regional population projections

This thesis deals with the regional population projections. The theoretical part is divided into several chapters, which describe and explain the basic concepts, such as demographics, birth rate, death rate and more. There are also analyzed the actual projection methods and specifying formulas. Last but not least consulted on the population projection of the Czech Republic in 2050 and the most recent projections up to the year 2100th. Own part is about the screening for districts in South Bohemian region. Projections were prepared for districts: Ceske Budejovice, Cesky Krumlov, Jindrichuv Hradec, Prachatice, Pisek, Strakonice and Tabor. As evaluation indicators were elected, population, life expectancy, total fertility rate and the secondary sex ratio or even sex ratio. Projections for population and life expectancy has been created specially for men and women.
