Wireless sensor network
Šťáva, Radek ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Pavlík, Michal (advisor)
The main theme of this work is to design and make a modern network of wireless sensors, when the main used circuit in the sensor module and the receiver module is microcontroller Texas Instruments CC430F513x. Care is taken primarily at very low power of sensor module for long battery life when on battery power. It is also emphasis is on reliability involvement of miniature size, expandability and high precision modules of basic sensors.
Telepresence Autonomous Robot for Exploration of Unapproachable Areas
Krkavec, Martin ; Janoušek, Vladimír (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
The subject of this master's thesis was to get familiar with a robot developed at the Department of Intelligent Systems of FIT VUT Brno. The goal of this work was to design and then implement hardware and software improvements of the robot so it could be capable of telepresence exploration of a narrow cave using remote control, including autonomous return back to the entrance. Also suggest possible extensions for a further improvement of the robot.
Wireless OBDII-Bluetooth Interface
Bezdíček, Jan ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Bartoš, Pavel (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor's thesis was to design an OBDII interface, which would have been able to communicate with a PC through Bluetooth interface. Designed wireless interface is able to diagnose all OBDII equipped vehicles, but the vehicles have to communicate by some of the supported protocols. It is possible to communicate with a vehicle using a software application or by simple commands in data terminal as well. Main parts of the device are a proprietary ELM327 microcontroller and an industrial Bluetooth module. The built-up device has been tested and it is able to display right values of vehicle sensors and to operate diagnostic trouble codes as well.
Providing IP mobility in Wi-Fi and Wi-Max environment
Klügl, Richard ; Novotný, Vít (referee) ; Skořepa, Michal (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis is focused on wireless networks within the context of providing support of IP mobility for these networks. This document consists of two main parts, the theoretical part and the practical part. The first one at the beginning includes simple characteristics and classification of wireless networks. Then it is followed by description of actual new trends in wireless networks, focused on the WiMAX technology (IEEE 802.16). At the end of this part is introduced the technology of mobile IPv4 address provided by the MIPv4 protocol. The second main part of the bachelor´s thesis deals with the practical implementation of the MIPv4 protocol into the Wi-Fi and WiMAX environment. For this object is used the OPNET Modeler 14.0 simulation environment, in which are made three network models of these technologies. This simulation shows function of the basic mechanisms of the MIPv4 protocol and reports which of these models have the best performance for supporting VoIP communication.
Wireless Game Controller for FITkit Platform
Dujíček, Aleš ; Bartoš, Pavel (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
The aim of this work is design and creation of wireless game controller for FITkit platform, which communicates in ISM band 2.4 GHz. In this work are described design of controller and module for FITkit and implementation of firmware.
Wireless IR sensor for space intrusion detection
Možný, Radek ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with design of wireless space breach detection sensor using sensor HC-SR501 and communication module SI4432. In thesis emphasis is on design of device with as low power consumption as possible using sleep modes of microprocessor Atmega328. Thesis includes desighn of temperature measurement, battery state measurement and subsequent broadcasting of gained information to receiving base station. Task of basae station is to evaluate information and among other things decide whether or not is guarded space breached. Two sensor network is further elaborated when sensors are sending periodical notification, person detection alarm, sensor manipulation alarm or warning about low battery state. Base station has regimes guarded and unguarded .
The utilization of wireless modules for data acquisition
Machů, Petr ; Mácha, Tomáš (referee) ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (advisor)
In the bachelor‘s thesis I deal with modern methods of wireless data transmission in decentralized wastewater treatment. I suggested three different architectures and various types of wireless modems related to them. Then I design the experimental workplace with the convenient architecture for an autonomous network. For data collection I use PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) Foxtrot series with the central unit of CP-1005 and I use two modems Conel CDL 800 operating in the unlicensed band 869 MHz for wireless transfer. In the Mosaic I design a program for reading inputs from wastewater treatment plant and maintenance of serial channel, in Radwin program I configure wireless modems for the point-point transfer. I present Hyperterminal configuration and delivered date are displayed in it. Finally, I design applications in PHP language that converts data into a graphic form. In conclusion, I present opportunities for further development and improvement of the network.
Modelling and simulation of communication system receiver for unmanned aircraft
Hoferek, Jakub ; Prokeš, Aleš (referee) ; Maršálek, Roman (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the simulation of the radio communication system for satellite control of unmanned aircraft, namely the command and control communication link – the forward link. The aim of the thesis is to create a simulator in the Matlab environment. The simulator includes a model of the transmitter, radio channel and receiver. Four-state CPM modulation with partial response and filtered symbol shape is used. The radio channel performs noise, frequency Doppler shift and time delay to the received signal. Subsequently, in the Acquisition Unit, the Doppler shift and time delay are detected and compensated. At the end of the thesis, the simulation results of the presented model are presented in the form of graphs đť¸s/đť‘0.
The monitoring system for smart concrete construction condition
Brouček, Jan ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Macháň, Ladislav (advisor)
This thesis describes designing of a wireless system which allows to transmit measured data of sensors made of smart concrete. Measured data are transmitted from measuring points to the collecting unit, which stores them, and pass them to the server which is connected in the Internet network. The design of the system is focused to achieve low power consumption of all used components to provide the longest possible operation time, when using primary lithium cell. The design should be also able to provide possibility of easy modification of the measuring points.
Design of wireless microphone
Vičíková, Kristýna ; Haltof, Vladimír (referee) ; Ondra, Martin (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor‘s thesis is design of wireless handheld microphone that transmits speech during presentations. Current design in this area is very uniform. The main goal of this thesis is to create unconventional design using nontraditional material from Matério for surface of the microphone. Important aspect at this type of product is ergonomy. Design aims to create option to change position of hand.
