Najmonová, Dominika ; Zvírotský, Michal (advisor) ; Richterová, Magdalena (referee)
This thesis discusses to what extent new teachers are equipped and prepared to prevent and deal with school bullying. The theoretical part aims to define used terms and explain what they entail. These terms include: new teachers, teacher typology, teacher training, bullying, stages of bullying, bullying prevention, and above all, steps to handle bullying. The practical part focuses on the conducted qualitative research, describing the chosen method, the process and its results. It offers answers to whether new teachers feel equipped and prepared to deal with and prevent school bullying or not. The main aim of the research is to find out how new teachers handle situations related to school bullying: which detection methods they use; with whom they cooperate; how they address these situations or how they would do so. Moreover, the thesis provides an insight into how prepared they feel, with their formal qualification and training, for these crisis situations.
All my beginning identities
Staňková, Barbora ; Novotná, Magdalena (advisor) ; Francová, Sylva (referee)
1 ABSTRACT In which situations have I found myself as an aspiring and later as a beginning teacher? How do I experience my affiliation with this profession today? What roles shape me as an educator? How do they influence my views on education? How do they impact my professional identity? The beginning of a professional career is a transitory and transformative period, crucial for further development, and builds upon various past experiences that date back to childhood. The theoretical part of this study navigates between social science, pedagogical, and artistic discourse. It draws on contemporary art that offers an approach to questions of identity and subjectivity, exemplified by works from authors such as Margit Titlová, Rineke Dijkstra, Marlene Dumas, Cindy Sherman, among others. The research section maps, through the analysis of autobiographical records, various situations and roles I encountered at the beginning of my career, as well as during the period leading up to this career. The autobiographical research oscillates between an artistic approach and an approach based on qualitative research, emphasizing the tension between the internal and external dimensions of identity. The artographic project outlines selected aspects of my personal identity through the use of photographic medium. Shadows...

The diploma thesis is aimed at the issue of stress load in beginner teachers and at the ways they cope with it. The theoretical part amasses and elaborates on the information available in literature and presents the results of research endeavours dealing with the topic. As a follow-up of the theoretical part, the research part constitutes the second major portion of the paper. It is carried out in the way of an explorative research which aims at the deeper examination of the topic, at providing both professional and non-professional persons with useful information, at the formulation of new hypotheses and at the directing of future research efforts in the right way. The aforementioned aim is identical with the aim of the entire thesis as well. Based on the aim, the research itself is divided into two constitutive parts, where each presents the reader with certain kinds of information. The first part uses descriptive statistics to summarize the data amassed by the quantitative method of a questionnaire survey, whereas the second part makes use of the methods of inferential statistics in order to analyse said data and draw a comparison of two different subsets of the sample involved. Vrbická, Tereza ; Hejlová, Helena (advisor) ; Poche Kargerová, Jana (referee)
The content of the diploma thesis is to characterize the features of a quality school and find out whether the cooperation between the school and the family is also included in this term. In the theoretical part I focus mainly on research on cooperation and on the interest of cooperation with the school by parents, public and media. An important part is the typology of parental expectations towards school, its work and the education of students. Then I summarize traditional and non-traditional forms of cooperation, which are applied on Czech schools. I also characterize teacher assistant role during the lessons, his cooperation with teacher and parents. The aim of the practical part is to monitor the cooperation between the family and the school from the point of view of the beginning teacher and the assistant teacher. From the assistant teacher, it is about the way how is looked at his role in the teaching process, how his work scope is defined, his expectations and mainly the way how he communicates with the parents. From a beginner teacher's point of view I focus on the way how to implement quality communication with the teacher assistant, to define his and my work scope and together with him get the effectively communication with the parents. The latest part is a manual for a beginner teacher,...
