Futuristic Aircraft Cockpit Design
Svorada, Slavomír ; Hanák, Jiří (referee) ; Chudý, Peter (advisor)
This work focuses on the historical development and current trends in the field of flight data visualization in the cockpit. Based on this analysis, a modern flight data visualization is proposed, which is subsequently implemented in a virtual reality-supported aviation simulation environment. The aim of the work was to create flight data visualization for Helmet-Mounted Display for aircraft capable of vertical takeoff and landing. The primary goal is to enhance the efficiency and safety of aviation through innovative visual means.
Radar Altimeter for Ultramicro Airplanes
Imrich, Marek ; Maršík, Lukáš (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
Radar equipment is an integral part of the aviation sector. It is very important to use a suitable module to guide ultralight aircraft during landing. The bachelor thesis is focused on the use of altitude radar based on the microwave sensor IWR6843ISK manufactured by TEXAS Instruments and its application in practice for ultralight aircraft. Its ability in conjunction with a computer is the altitude guidance of an ultralight aircraft to the runway by generating sound tones to indicate to the pilot the distance above the terrain. The main goal of this work is to design a model for the use of a microwave module in conjunction with a computer and its subsequent testing of the suitability for use in performing a landing maneuver. The aim of this work is to design a system that works with millimeter radar and its evaluation of usability in practice. The proposed module generates point clouds, which are then parsed, then the output data are suitably correlated, further transformed to the exact height of the aircraft above the terrain with subsequent sound interpretation to the pilot.
Futuristic Aircraft Cockpit Design
Hlipala, Martin ; Vlk, Jan (referee) ; Chudý, Peter (advisor)
This thesis is analysing the historical evolution of flight instruments and aims at the design of a new, enhanced cockpit that includes basic flight instruments supplemented by data from selected aircraft subsystems. The design is based on currently available electronic instruments, known as EFIS, presently used onboard Boeing 737-800 cockpit. The proposed design aims at improvements to graphic style of EFIS, and accomodation of new data into newly designed displays. As a result of this effort, a set of design concepts is created. Those are then implemented as fully functional set of displays using custom made user interface system design tool.
Usage of Modern Methods for Increasing Reliability of Control System Implementations
Szurman, Karel ; Mičulka, Lukáš (referee) ; Kaštil, Jan (advisor)
At avionics control and critical systems is necessary guarantee a minimal level of fault tolerance and their high reliability. On the electronic components in these devices has an undesirable influence environment conditions and mainly cosmic ray. In this paper are described the most common failure types of semiconductor components and devices together with modern methods which can be increased the system fault tolerance and its overall reliability. There are introduced aspects of the avionic systems design due to finally certification and ways to evaluate its safety. This thesis describes design and implementation of the CAN bus control system for the FPGA platform which uses the CANAerospace application protocol. Created system design is improved by the TMR architecture. Fault tolerance of both system version is tested by the SEU framework which allows using the dynamic partial reconfiguration generate an SEU failures into running FPGA design.
Evaluation of advantages and disadvantages of aircraft automatic systems
Vrána, Michal ; Koštial, Rostislav (referee) ; Horpatzká, Michaela (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with civil airplane automatic systems. The first part analyses historical development of flight control systems and automatic system together with philosophy, which is implemented in modern airliners. In the next part, we evaluate advantages and disadvantages together with list and description of modern avionic systems, which participate on automatic flight. In the last part, selected airplane incidents and accidents are analysed, focusing on influence of automation with incidental human factor.
Radar Altimeter for Ultralight Aircraft
Zahradník, Jiří ; Zemčík, Pavel (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis author designs a radar altimeter. In this thesis the emphasis is placed onto modular architecture and that is why this altimeter is designed as a group of independent modules communicating through BSD sockets. Software implementation is made in C++ and for sound generator is used library PulseAudio. Next topic is multithreading safety implementation of queue and stack which was made by template class to keep simplicity and generality.
Graphical Interface for Flight Displays
Brumovský, Vít ; Dittrich, Petr (referee) ; Chudý, Peter (advisor)
This work aims to familiarize the reader with the evolution of avionics, techniques and possibility to display the flight quantity and describe the making of primary flight displays for flight simulator. The text also contains implementation details and testing methods. The display is created using C ++ and OpenGL graphics library. Created solution provides two display modes - classic and monochromatic. The final display is possible to configure for a specific type of aircraft.
Evaluation of complex situations from airplane’s avionics
GNSS Precision Approach and Landing CAT II/III
Bach Quoc, Thang ; Vosecký, Slavomír (referee) ; Ptáček, Pavel (advisor)
The content of this work is an overview of precision approach used by GNSS and avionics for operation in low visibility conditions. This thesis describes existing requirements and proposals for new standards that are important to define GBAS performance. The objective of this work is to compare the alternative systems to guide aircraft during precision approach CAT II/III. GBAS operational implementation is additionally devised in this thesis.
