Káňa, Vojtěch ; Hruboš, Zdeněk (referee) ; Šotner, Roman (advisor)
This master´s thesis describes about automated measurements of two – ports of frequency, time and DC area. Gradually, there is elaborated several theoretical foundations dealing with this issue. For example, different types of buses, available programs and general theory of two – ports circuits. Also a method for solving and implementing a measuring device for communication between apparatuses and DUT is designed and described. In conclusion, the results and evaluation of measurement are processed.
Beam Shaping Circuits for L Band Antenna
Kalina, Ladislav ; Pítra, Kamil (referee) ; Urbanec, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis contains design of beamforming network designed for passive radar antennas. The first part contains theory of passive radars and beamforming networks. The next part implies design of beamforming network at the block digram level. Then are choosed circuits for amplitude and phase control, including the design of control communication. It follows by realization of IQ phase shifter and his automatic measurement. Based on this results is phase shifter adjusted and PCB of 2x2 beamforming network is designed. Last part includes design of control application (Matlab) and control program for STM32F407VG microcontroller.
Application for automated power trace measurement
Karabina, Lukáš ; Lieskovan, Tomáš (referee) ; Gerlich, Tomáš (advisor)
Master’s thesis is focused on providing information for the design and implementation of an application for automated power trace measurement. The first and second sections of this thesis summarise the findings on the actual measurement of the power consumption and the use of the results in the analysis of the robustness of cryptographic systems against side channel attacks. In this sections, several methods that can be used in such an analysis are presented. A section on the devices with which the application will communicate is also included. The practical part of this thesis deals with the actual design and development of the application. The design patterns used and the procedures by which the application is created are presented. The individual subsections further describe the actual development, implementation, testing and associated problems.
Communication of a Measuring Device with a Computer – Laboratory Experiments
Cigánek, Jan ; Frýza, Tomáš (referee) ; Jakubová, Ivana (advisor)
This project deals with the programme for automated measurement. Project describes main theory advices and possibilities of building programme with language C++. It shows complication in communication of PC with measurement devices and it describes programme commands. This work includes programme, solution, structure with examples of the algorithm and source code. The designed control programme has been applied for automated measurement of frequency characteristics of low-pass and high-pass filters with the analogue multiplier AD 633 using the programmable DC power supply Agilent E3631A, the digital multimeter Agilent 34411A or digital storage oscilloscope Tektronix TDS 1012 and generator Agilent 33220A.
Test modules for automated testing of gas boiler controllers
Herbrych, Vojtěch ; Vyskočil, Pavel (referee) ; Dřínovský, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design and implementation of test modules for measurement and PWM signal generation and communication using OpenTherm, for automated testing of gas boiler control units at Resideo company. This work builds on an already developer facility containing a set of measurement and test modules designed for simple automated testing of developed and manufactured equipment. The reason for the designing and manufacturing the additional modules is to extend the existing test set, automate the additional testing process and the extend the existing module, that no longer meets the current requirements of Resideo´s test engineers. The existing and newly developed test modules are based on ARM microcontrollers with a Cortex-M core, which communicate with the higher/level system using the MODBUS protocol via the RS-485 communication interface. The entire test system is connected to the bus in parallel and behaves as a RESPONDER (formerly known as SLAVE). The parent system (usually a computer) behaves as a CONTROLLER (formerly called MASTER). The power supply of the modules is unified (24 VDC) and is implemented on the existing communication and power supply module. For both developed modules, a circuit diagram was designed and possibly parts of the problematic circuits were simulated. Then the firmware was developed and the functionality of the modules was verified. All the requirements of the Resideo assignment were met and the modules can easily be extended in the future with additional functions. It will be also possible to modify the already developed functions impemented in the modules.
Designing an automated workplace for charge and high-impedance measurement
Nemček, Jakub ; Bartušek, Karel (referee) ; Gescheidtová, Eva (advisor)
This barchelor thesis is about Desig an automated workplace forchargeable and high-impedant measurements. This automated workplace is realized by tubular aspiration capacitor, which is connected via differential converter U/I to data acquisition switch unit HP 34970A. The data acquisition switch unit HP 34970A is also connected by serial line RS-232 to Computer (PC), on which the directed program Agilent VEE Pro 7.0 is installed. To the right connection data acquisition switch unit HP 34970A and PC is necessary to set the same parameters on data acquisition switch unit HP 34970A, such in I/O config and also in Instrument manager too. In Instrument manager is requisite to set Plug und Play driver for data acquisition switch unit HP 34970A. The programing in Agilent VEE Pro 7.0 is based on object oriented programming. To start the program press the button “START“ and automatic measuring of concentration air ionts, will start the process (the trend is marked to the graph). The program is indicated if the ventilator blows an air in the aspiration capacitor and draws the trend of voltage on this ventilator to the graph. To stop the program press the buton “STOP“. Measured data are exported to program Excel. For the export Excel has to be running before the process. The function is verifing by measuring of background negativ a positiv ionts, by influence of position the source of ionts behind the aspiration capacitor and by influence of materials (metal plate, paper carton, wood, conductive paint) to the concentration of negativ ionts.
Creation of LabView application for automatic measurement of switchgear temperature rise
Kopunec, Vít ; Huzlík, Rostislav (referee) ; Valenta, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create an automated measurement of the temperature increase of electrical devices using the graphical programming environment of LabVIEW. To measure the temperature increase, up to four thermocouples are used of any type. The final .vi file must meet the requirements for the particular option settings; before running a measurement. On the front panel .vi file, is displayed the following configuration elements: time measurement, number of measurements, thermocouple type and amplification. The programme measures the voltage of the thermocouples, recalculates the value of voltage to the temperature, measures the values to write to a file with a txt extension, and writes values into the tables, constructing useful graphical information of physical measurements.
