The subject of the bachelor thesis is the design of the steel roof structure above the grandstand of the athletic stadium in Otrokovice. The structure is designed as a cantilever in the shape of an arc - the floor plan dimensions of the object are 17.3 x 54 m, the height of the structure above the ground is 12.5 m. The roof is made of arched trapezoidal sheets and is supported by purlins, which are deployed over an axial distance of 3 m on ten welded truss brackets. The truss brackets consist of two assembly parts and are 6 m apart. The stability of the structure is ensured by roof and longitudinal stiffeners. The structure is anchored in massive concrete foundations hidden in the terrain on which the grandstand is located.
