Creation of new laboratory exercises explaining the principles of communication protocols
Babjarčiková, Lenka ; Jeřábek, Jan (referee) ; Langhammer, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this master thesis is to create two laboratory exercises in ns-3 network simulator for chosen communication protocols. The chosen protocols are BGP and ICMPv6. The first part of this thesis contains teoretical knowledge used in order to design laboratory exercise. It contains descriptions of funcionality of both protocols and messages they use. This chapter also includes brief description of three options which were considered for implementation of BGP protocol into ns-3 enviroment. The second chapter consists of actual laboratory exercises which were created as a purpose of this thesis. Exercise for BGP protocol deals with creating neighborhoods between routers at autonomous system level, analyzing the way routers communicate within their neighborhoods and how protocol reacts when the connection between two neighbor routers fails. Exercise created for ICMPv6 protocol is focused on its messages and their usage within multiple protocol funcionalities, such as address configuration, link address resolution and error detection.

Židov, Petr ; Velek, Luboš (advisor) ; Spurný, Matěj (referee)
In the 20th century Czech border came through changes which influenced it in a very short time just as never in past centuries. During the formation of the First Czechoslovakia Republic was the big part of peripheral area inhabited by people of German nationality even since the Middle Ages. In the second half of thirties devolved this area to Hitlers Third Reich. After the end of Second World War was the big part of original population changed for new population. The object of this bachelor thesis is to describe historical events of town Aš and its neighborhood which leads to political and social changes in this region and changed them for tens of years. Main sources of this work are memoirs of two groups of people: Germans who could stay and Czechs who moved in from inland.
English reason clauses introduced by the conjunctions "since" and "as"
Cilcová, Klára ; Brůhová, Gabriela (advisor) ; Gráf, Tomáš (referee)
The present thesis studies English reason clauses introduced by the conjunctions since and as. English reason clauses are subsumed under the category of subordinate clauses and as such they accompany matrix clauses in the complex sentences. They can be placed in any of the positions in the sentence and serve various semantic roles and syntactic functions. The main aim of the present work is the analysis of English reason clauses introduced by the conjunctions since and as in terms of their position and the semantic relationship between them and their matrix clauses. For the purpose of the latter, also their syntactic functions are studied. Furthermore, the analysis is concerned with the factors which may be influential in the choice of the position of reason clauses. The analysis is performed on one hundred examples of English reason clauses introduced by the conjunctions since and as (50 examples introduced by since and 50 by as) that have been extracted from the works of prose by the means of the British National Corpus.
How do plants manage to survive on toxic spoil-mining sites? Physiological and structural properties of plants on substrates with high As and Hg contents
Kovářová, Monika ; Albrechtová, Jana (advisor) ; Soudek, Petr (referee)
The heavy metals contamination of environment represents a worldwide problem lately. Heavy metals cause harmful effects not only to plants, but also to other organisms. Throught their acumulation in plant biomass, heavy metals enter a food chain and could negatively influence the human health. The impact of heavy metals on plants and their defence mechanisms against toxicity of heavy metals have been in focus of plant physiology and ecology research for decades. Importance of this topic arises from plant role in environment, ecosystem services and in human nutrition. Investigation in proces and mechanisms of heavy metal hyperacumulation in plants offer progress in fytoremediation and genetic engineering. The experiments on agricultural crops show how heavy metals enter the food chain and how they affect the crop yield. The aim of this thesis is to summarize information about heavy metals' effects on plants. The thesis is focused on arsenic and mercury, because the Czech Republic have also problem with heavy metals contamination and these two metals occur in high concentration in the spoil banks and soils adjacent to the lignite mining areas of Sokolovsko. The spoil banks with heavy metal content have to be revegatated, thus, the topic of their effect on plants is of high importance. In the first part of the...
Applying lean produktion in the selected company
BÍNOVÁ, Petra
Bachelor thesis consists of two parts: a literature review and their own work. Literature review explains the reader with issues concerning situation of the automotive industry and lean manufacturing. Topics concerning the situation of the automotive industry deals with the number of cars in the Czech Republic and the world. There is an explanation of lean manufacturing and selected methods, explaining the difference between gradual improvement and improving jump. The actual work consists of chapters on the characteristics of the company, the structure of production and planning, manufacturing process selected group of products, material flows of goods and estimating losses, adding value and suggests possible zlepšení.Vše is applied to the company ŠKODA AUTO a. s., in that its activity is analyzed for calendar year 2012. Finding the necessary information regarding the operation of the company was studying the annual reports, websites and communication with executives including a tour of the museum and business operations.
