The subject of the bachelor thesis:,,The reputation of the Army of the Czech Republic`` is the presentation of the army as an institution which is an important part of the society. Its main task is to guatantee security and integrity of the state and protect national interests. The first part is focused on the theretical point of viem of problems of assessment of the image, its characteristics, evaluation and perception of the image as a picture of an organization in the eyes of the society. The main part is devoted to the Army of the Czech Republic, its reputation, its role in society, in history and in the present.

Science and Army - Science and War (1914-2004)
The publication includes papers given at the conference „Science and army - science and war (1914-2004)“ which took place in Prague in November 2004. The book also includes a round-table discussion on topic „Science and army at the present“. The conference was organized by the Masaryk Institute of the ASCR in cooperation with the Institute of Strategic Studies of the University of Defense in Brno and the Research Centre of History of Science and Humanities in Prague. Most of the papers focus on the various problems of science and military affairs in the 20th century. Some of them also discuss problems of the present military research or the changes of the defensive doctrine of the Czech Republic.

Financing of tschechoslovak army and its setup for possible military conflict

After the formation of Czechoslovakia, which was not completely agreed upon by neighboring states, the primary need was to establish a strong army capable of protecting the nation from the attacks from abroad. The creation of the army required lots of diplomatic activity as well as resources, because after World War I, the only units ready for fight were the militia and groups of legionaries, who in addition were not uniformly armed. During the first eight years, the funding of the army consisted mainly of budget allowances. After 1927's reform it was also a fund newly created to allow a long term planning. During the years of thread, the funding by a debt was introduced, due to increase in costs in defenses against the German expansion. In response to this, the amount of Czechoslovakian engagements significantly rose. Finally, the question of readiness to fight and defense in conflict with German aggression arises.

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na působení britské Východoindické obchodní společnosti v Indii. První kapitola shrnuje okolnosti vzniku a působení Společnosti na indickém území před rokem 1756. Následná kapitola popisuje přerod Společnosti jako monopolní firmy v suveréna na indickém subkontinentu. Teoretická část práce se věnuje přístupu předních britských ekonomů té doby k otázce kolonií a Společnosti samotné. Hlavní část práce analyzuje nositele, nástroje a financování hospodářské politiky Indie v době vlády Východoindické společnosti. Zabývá se vztahy britských politiků k indické otázce a jejich vlivem na formulaci hospodářské politiky. Analyzuje hlavní nástroje politiky Společnosti v Indii jako jsou obchodní monopol a armáda. Podrobněji sleduje financování, příjmy a výdaje Společnosti v době její vlády. V závěru nastiňuje některé okolnosti konce vlády Východoindické společnosti na subkontinentu.

Práce popisuje výkon služby vojáka, přerušení a zánik služebního poměru vojáka. Vymezuje konkrétní poskytovanou péči ve formě přídavku na bydlení, výsluhových náležitostí, příspěvků z FKSP, rozšiřování vzdělání, zdravotní péči, preventivní rehabilitaci apod.V závěru je proveden výzkum, zda je péče vojákům opravdu poskytována.
