The study of the refractory concrete binding system based on phosphoric acid and aluminous cement
Pavlík, Tomáš ; Švec, Jiří (referee) ; Šiler, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with refractory concrete binding system based on aluminous cement and phosphoric acid. The prepared refractory concretes were fired at 1 000 °C. Various effects on compressive strength of refractory concrete were studied. The influence of aluminous cement content and phosphoric acid content, the influence of various admixtures, the influence of plasticizers and the influence of time and method of sample storage were studied. Simultaneous thermogravimetry and differential thermal analysis of the basic unfired sample were performed. Finally, selected refractory concretes were fired at 110, 200, 400, 600, 800, 900, 1 000 and 1 100 °C. The compressive strength of these samples was measured and powder X ray diffraction analysis was performed. The compressive strength of refractory concretes under intermediate temperatures (800–1 100 °C) was most increased in samples with metakaolin and gray microsilica.
The Effect of Deflocculation of Raw Materials Mixture for Porcelain Body Based on Calcium Aluminous Cement
Kašíková, Milada ; Keršnerová, Lucie (referee) ; Sokolář, Radomír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the liquefaction alumina cements using suitable species plasticizers. The practical part will be compared results liquification aluminous cement and kaolin, which is used in the traditional ceramics.
Rheology in Technology of Inorganic Binders
Kosár, Petr ; Másilko, Jiří (referee) ; Zmrzlý, Martin (advisor)
This final thesis deals with the study of rheological behaviour of cement pastes. The introductory part describes the composition of Portland cement. Next, a detailed description of mutual interaction between cement and water and the principle of superplasticizer affection follows. The thesis includes a description of properties and interaction of alumina cement with water as well as rheological properties of suspensions and cement pastes. Finally, the theoretical part provides a survey of the elementary methods and equipment for the evaluation of rheological properties of cement materials. The experimental part includes measurement and evaluation of rheological properties (flow curves, plastic viscosity and yield stress) of cement pastes with different composition. The influences of water-cement ratio, amount of superplasticizer and the kind of cement on rheological properties of cement pastes are compared here.
Bone porcelain based on Calcium Aluminous Cement
Němec, Tomáš ; Nevřivová, Lenka (referee) ; Sokolář, Radomír (advisor)
The Main goal of this bachelor´s thesis is to review qualities of bone china with using of aluminous cement for preparation of porcelain bodies. The theoretical part describes the issue of production of bone china and the use of aluminous cements. Besides that there are shown ways of examining porcelain bodies and description of traditional feldspar porcelain and bone china. In practical part of my thesis I compared final properties and mineralogical composition of the traditional feldspar porcelain, bone china and bone china based on aluminous cement.
Material properties research for use in high-temperature solar thermal storage tank
Šot, František ; Vala, Jiří (referee) ; TROJAN,, Karel (referee) ; Steuer,, Radek (referee) ; Šťastník, Stanislav (advisor)
The use of thermal storage energy, using phase change materials appears to be an effective way to store thermal energy storage with the benefits of the high amount of energy while maintaining isothermal nature of the process. PCM methods are used in latent thermal storage systems for heat pumps, as well as in solar engineering or for temperature control in spacecraft. The past decade has extended these principles for cooling and heating in the building. There are a number of PCM systems, which operate over a wide temperature range, are used in various applications. This document includes a brief overview of the development and analysis of available thermal storage working mainly on the principle of PCM.
Building survey and evaluating the state construction
Suchánková, Zuzana ; Anton, Ondřej (referee) ; Heřmánková, Věra (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on study of diagnostic methods used for reinforced concrete structure with a practical example of a survey on the subject of the original memorial Bata in Zlin, today's House of Art. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the general methodology of the survey with the distribution methods for testing materials and structures, and displays the evaluation according to ČSN ISO 1382 Also deals with the required properties and used by diagnostic methods for concrete and steel. In the practical part of the surveyed, which is supposed to show the methodology of the survey to the evaluation process involving the setting apart of strength and classification of concrete and chemical analysis, which should show whether the concrete is not based on aluminous cement.
