Technology of emulsion polymerization
Chadima, David ; Arvai, Tomáš (referee) ; Kučera, František (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the influence of technological parameters on the emulsion copolymerization of methyl methacrylate with n butyl acrylate. The theoretical part contains knowledge in the field of influences of proces tempereture, concentration of initiator, concentration of emulsifier, stirring rate and dose rate on emulsion polymerization. In the experimental part was observed effect of the concentration of the ionic emulsifier, nonionic emulsifier, furthemore was observed effect of stirring speed and the concentration of initiator K2S2O8 on conversion of copolymerization. During all copolymerizations, conversions was determinated via solids content evaluation. By dynamic light scattering was determinated and presented polymer particle size of the prepared emulsions. Stability of emuldions was observed via effect of different ionic strenght and yield of freeze thaw cycles coalescence. Based on experimental results were proposed conditions of polyacrylic lattex preparation.
Non - pharmacological methods of a solution agitation in patients with dementia
BUCHTOVÁ, Kristýna
Current state: Dementia is a very actual theme. The occurance raises every year. My bachelor´s work is focused on behavioral symptoms of dementia and nonpharmacological methods of a solution agitation in patients with dementia. The theoretical part of my work dealts with primary division of dementia, causes of development, symptoms, diagnostics and treatment of dementia. The last part was focused on pharmacological and mainly non-farmacological methods in demented patients. The objective: 1. The mapping of all using non-pharmacological methods for demented patients which are used in solution of agitation. 2. The comparison of knowledge of nonprofessional carers and nurses in the field of non- pharmacological methods in patients with dementia. Methodology: There was chosen the qualitative research method and the intentional choice of respondents for research survey. In the field of evaluation of the results of interviews and observation there were determined three fields. The field focused on dialogues with nurses included 15 categories. The dialogues with laic tenders created 14 categories and 4 categories contained observations of nurses. The collection of information was made up by using observation and half-structured dialogues. The research was situated into the care centre with special mode for elderly people. The scientific sample: The research sample was created by 4 non-professional carers and 8 nurses. The research: The research checked out the most frequent using methods in practice: individual attitude to a client, keeping the principles of the right communication, relationship of the patient and nursing staff, memorial treatment, pet therapy (especially canistherapy), basal stimulation, validation method, energisation of the clients and enviromental improvements. The recommendation for practise: The results of our work confirmed importance of using non- pharmacological methods in prevention of the troubled behavior at the persons with disease. The research results can be used by all nurses and non-professional carers who are concerned with it.
Preparation of Specimen for Transmission Electron Microscopy using Freeze Substitution and Agitation
GRAHAMMER, Johannes
The quality of biological samples for Transmission Electron Microscopy prepared using High Pressure Freezing and Freeze Substitution with a novel agitation module invented by Helmuth Goldhammer and Siegfried Reipert was compared to Cells prepared without agitation and the Freeze Substitution protocol by Obornik et al. The amount of extraction was quantified via immunolabelling of RuBisCO inside the plastids of the Alveolate Chromera Velia Mechanical Damages were quantified by counting of obviously damaged and intact cells at low magnification
The film and politics. Propaganda and political agitation in Czech feature film 1948-1956
Bartošová, Simona ; Pehr, Michal (advisor) ; Polášek, Martin (referee)
Master thesis The film and politics. Propaganda and political agitation in Czech feature film 1948-1956 regards form and range of political, respectively communist ideology in chosen successful Czech feature motion pictures of the above mentioned time period. Investigates how and how far communist ideology influenced the examined films, even e.g. how much open or hidden agitation and propaganda it was. Main question of the thesis is why these films - which are often designated as propagandistic, agitation or at least ideologically tendentious - were so attractive for their viewers at that time. The thesis is theoretically based on supportive literature on history, totalitarianism and Czech film and practically on analysis of particular movies, which are absolutely essential for that time period.

Velocity gradient - the natural tool for compaction of formed aggregates
Polášek, Pavel ; Pivokonský, Martin ; Knesl, Bohuslav ; Pivokonská, Lenka
The efficiency of the water treatment process is dependent on the agitation conditions under which the formation of separable suspension takes place.
Vliv intensity míchání na filtrační cykly při úpravě vody
Pivokonský, Martin ; Pivokonská, Lenka ; Švec, Martin
The aim of this contribution is to investigate aggregation efficiencies when high (G= 260 s-1) and low (G= 60 s-1) intensity agitation is applied for a treatment of surface water with high content of humic substances in a pilot size operation. It was established that high intensity agitation represented by a fluid layer of granular material (FLGM) can be more effective for an aggregation agitation than low intensity agitation with the help of the perforated baffles (PB). The FLGM improves performance of the filters because the filtration runs in the technological arrangement with FLGM took longer periods compared with low intensity agitation.
Influence of agitation on separability of the aggregates
Mutl, Silvestr ; Pivokonský, Martin
The aggregation agitation influences the properties of aggregates being formed which, in turn, decisively influence their separation capabilities. It is evident from the experimental results that the conditions of agitation have to be optimised with respect to the raw water quality and the separation method applied. The results show that the mean velocity gradients greater than G = 100 s-1 are more convenient for separation of floc aggreagates.
