Intergenerational programs in seniors education

The work deals with the issue of intergenerational programmes, their position in the senior education and mapping their distribution in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part is based on the latest findings in intergenerational projects and studies conducted mainly in the last decade which are listed in utilised sources. The framework focuses on the age specifics, their needs, trends of active aging, intergenerational solidarity and inter-generational education and learning in the context of lifelong and life-wide learning, especially in terms of grandparent and grandchildren generation relation. The work is supplemented by information from online surveys. It indicates that intergenerational programs in the Czech Republic meets the objectives of international and national strategies, increasing their offer is still inadequate
Motivation for learning of pupils at the end of primary school

The thesis is focused on issues of motivation for learning of pupils at the end of primary school. The first part of the thesis elaborates theoretical solutations to the process of the motivation for learning of pupils at school. It explains the definition of motivation in the pedagogical and psychological point of view. The thesis also introduces internal and external factors which are considered to create the motivation for learning. For the support of the motivation a teacher has to know the age specifics of the children, orientation of their personality and their learning style. The crucial sources of the motivation for learning are cognitive needs, social needs and achievement needs which participate in individual motivation orientation of children. In the case the needs are not developed or satisfied they may happen to be frustrated and manifested as boredom or fear. The action research in the second part ot the thesis watch which methods the class teacher uses to actualizate and develop the needs of her pupils. The complementary research is made with other teachers of the pupils at this age and investigates the competence to react to the motivation requirements of their pupils. The work followed the specifics of the educational work between 2-3 years of age in an ordinary preschool. The theoretical part is based on developmental psychological characteristics of this period. It monitored the impact of early interactions mother - child, influence of family environment and other factors affecting the child's separation from the mother and the subsequent adaptation and socialization in a preschool environment. The survey includes six case studies of selected two-year old children (position of the child), 24 selected parents of preschool children within one preschool (parents' position) and 51 preschools (teacher's position). The research followed the specific impact of key factors influencing the course of adaptation and socialization of a child under 3 years of age in a preschool environment, including the anticipated impact of key chronological age.
