Effective Information and Knowledge Sharing in Supply Chain
Dejl, Vlastimil ; Voráček, Jan (advisor) ; Kincl, Tomáš (referee)
The thesis - Effective Information and Knowledge Sharing in Supply Chain - is situated in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods segment, in the packaging design environment. In this environment the process of introducing new product to the market and it's optimization across the supply chain is analyzed. The situation on the market forces suppliers to continually lower costs and shorten production times. One way of how to resist to this pressure is an effective and efficient information and knowledge exchange between all participants of the process. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first one focuses on theoretical determination of basic terms and topics which are further discussed in the second -- practical -- part. In the second part the FMCG environment, sources of failures and inefficiencies are analyzed and optimization of the process of introducing new product to the market is proposed, all from the packaging design perspective.

Troppová, Simona ; Bič, Josef (advisor) ; De Castro, Tereza (referee)
In this Bachelor thesis, I describe the formation and origin of the Fair Trade movement, way in which it operates, aspects which it brings on the market and the basic characteristics of trade with the most important Fairtrade commodities. Firstly, I focus on the general identification of kinds of products included in Fair Trade and afterwards I characterize the fair trading of four most significant crops among all: coffee, bananas, cocoa and cotton. Objective of the thesis is above all to create an image defining the present situation at three different Fair Trade markets: in the United Kingdom, Czech Republic and Slovakia. From the general outline of success of the movement in the world I continue with deeper detailing of above mentioned markets. From this definition I deduce particularities of Fair Trade performance in each country. Furthermore, I analyze the causes of the exact situation on every market. From the discovered indications I evaluate, if further development of the concept on those markets would be meaningful also in the future and what should be improved for its better effectiveness. In conclusion I briefly analyze the general conditions needed for successful implementation of Fair Trade.

Economics and Information
Nohejl, Jiří ; Rosický, Antonín (advisor) ; Šíma, Josef (referee)
Thesis "Economics and Information" advances a consistent theoretic concept of information as part of economic theory. In contrast of contemporary semantic confusions about information in economics this thesis tries to build a meaningful theory based on classical economic studies and conception of information in system theory. The first part is concerned with methodological foundation and contemporary methodological problems of information in economic theory. These issues are crucial for presenting methodological individualism and subjectivism as fundamental approach to understanding role of information in social sciences. This leads to human action as basic framework for studying information. Next part of the thesis describes few basic approaches to information in economics. In comparison with neoclassical views like information asymmetry this thesis propose own praxeology based concept of information. This concept shows information in its duality as a resource of human activities, but also as objective of human action. This duality as resource and objective connect information to concepts of interpretation, knowledge and dynamic processes. The final part of the thesis applies theoretical concepts to economic policy issues and institutional problems.

Management Knowledge workers
Blažková, Kristýna ; Mládková, Ludmila (advisor) ; Sedlacký, Martin (referee)
These approaches have little relevance for executives contending with the day-to-day reality of running a company. Knowledge management is complex and multifaceted; it encompasses everything the organization does to make knowledge available to the business, such as embedding key information in systems and processes, applying incentives to motivate employees and forging alliances to infuse the business with new knowledge. Effective knowledge management requires a combination of many organizational elements--technology, human resource practices, organizational structure and culture--in order to ensure that the right knowledge is brought to bear at the right time. Knowledge management is still a relatively young field, with new concepts emerging constantly. Often, it is portrayed simplistically; discussions typically revolve around blanket principles that are intended to work across the organization. The aim of my diploma paper is to introduce knowledge workers management in well known and successful international organization, The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), that has been present in Czech Republic since 1990's. Knowledge workers management in BCG is described in context OF global economy situation, in which knowledge and knowledge workers play significant role. Knowledge kept in employees' brains is an intangible asset of every company, especially consulting company. Very often, the knowledge holders are not aware of the fact that their knowledge is important to the company and crucial to its Access. From the company point of view, it is necessary to recognize the key knowledge holder, to manage them and to try ensuring the working environment that enable easy knowledge sparing. From the BCG example, we can see that knowledge management is well established HR process, which manages hiring, retaining and developing relationships with alumni. Key issue is to motivate knowledge workers to share their knowledge, to develop the right environment and grant the right tools.
Possible Views of Informatics
