This thesis is focused on the effects of inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Sub- goals are focused on heritage management in the given region, benefits and disadvantages associated with this inscription, motivation of local stakeholders to use it and identification of these stakeholders. In order to find out what effect this inscription had on local stakeholders from the public and private spheres, semi-structured interviews were used. The obtained data were evaluated using open coding and thematic analysis. The research itself can be divided into three phases. In the first phase, a list of stakeholders involved in the process of creation, protection and interpretation of mining heritage was created. The second phase consisted of interviews with local stakeholders, namely representatives of municipalities and entrepreneurs. In the last stage, these interviews were evaluated and summarized.

Kučera, Karel ; Indrová, Martina (advisor) ; Sládková, Kateřina (referee)
The presented diploma thesis deals with selected problems of monuments in the Czech Republic, which were listed on the prestigious World Heritage List by the end of the year 2022. In the first part of the diploma theses, a comprehensive search of existing Czech inscriptions and values for which they were awarded the Outstanding Universal Value (OUV) is carried out. Management plans of individual sites (or other strategic and conceptual documents) are also researched and chapters dealing with education and presentation issues of the given sites are evaluated. In the second part, the thesis deals with the issues of interpretation and education of values for which estates are awarded the OUV. A research is carried out of how local management work with the term "outstanding universal value" in their interpretive, educational and presentation materials and if the criteria for which the monument is included on the World Heritage List are given adequate attention. And if so, whether they use methodological materials in the interpretation of values, or at least the principles defined in the International Council on Monuments and Sites Charter in the field of interpretation and presentation of cultural heritage sites - the ICOMOS charter. I also plan to check whether local museums and other institutions are...

Lohrová, Zuzana ; Jelen, Jakub (advisor) ; Nekolný, Lukáš (referee)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the evaluation of the impact of the inscription of the Landscape for the Breeding and Training of Ceremonial Carriage Horses in Kladruby nad Labem on the World Heritage List from the point of view of actors in the public, private and non-profit spheres. This inscription took place in July 2019 and it is now possible to study its further development. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the presentation of the UNESCO organization and the evaluation of the possible effects of the inscription of the monument on the World Heritage List according to the literature. It is also focused on the analysis of the Landscape for the Breeding and Training of Ceremonial Carriage Horses in Kladruby nad Labem. The second part presents the research, which was focused on evaluating the impact of the inscription on the World Heritage List using semi-structured interviews with the individual actors mentioned above. One of the main findings is, for example, that respondents consider the increased level of professional care of the estate to be the greatest benefit. On the contrary, disruption of the daily life of local residents can be considered as a negative impact. The Politics of the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity Inscriptions
Krestová, Kateřina ; Parízek, Michal (advisor) ; Plechanovová, Běla (referee)
The paper deals with a rate between sites inscribed in the World Heritage List and the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. In former studies the imbalance was proven and it also showed an influence of unofficial factors to nomination process. The imbalance was discovered within a meaning of raised quantity of traditional European sites coming from the economically more developed countries. UNESCO officially make a long- term effort to compensate this discrimination in favour for unheeded states and types of heritage (especially the intangible). In order to verify the compensatory effect, I collected the data about every site inscribed in the World Heritage List between 1979-2016 and 2008-2015 in Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, from what I made a regression analysis considering GDP and GDP per capita. The result showed the declared compensatory effect doesn't work, a tendency of more successful nominations from wealthier states continues, the trend of higher probability of sites inscription from states which already have some sites inscribed was confirmed.

These changes are also closely related to the participation of Advisory Bodies of the Convention (ICOMOS, IUCN, ICCROM) on national and international level. Recent changes were reflected not only in demands to State Parties but also in implementation of the Convention, for example by changing the voting system to the World Heritage Committee and efforts for more effective financing system of expenses necessary for implementation of the Convention.
