Hrabcová, Denisa ; Hejnák, Václav (advisor) ; Stanislava, Stanislava (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the significant factors influenting a development of Vysokomýtsko microregion. Some specific examples are given at 7 selected mid-size category municipalities. The main objective of this work was to determine the important factors that affect the micro-region. The first part of the thesis is focused on the key terms. The crucial term is a microregion. The term microregion stands for a voluntary alliance of villages and towns. Villages associate in order to obtain public assets for their citizens more easily. A main task for the microregion is to define and solve problems which influence villages. Other important terms are a suburbanization, which is going to significantly affect microregion's development in the future. The second part of the thesis aims to briefly characterize the Vysokomýtsko microregion, especially its territory, population, education, labour market, traffic, economy, environment, tourism, subsidies/grants and individual municipalities. The following part discusses the category of mid-sized municipalities, which concerns 7 of 28 municipalities of Vysokomýtsko microregion. These are the villages whose population ranges from 300 to 500 people. This category includes following municipalities: Dobříkov, Běstovice, Slatina, Koldín, Džbánov, Svatý Jiří and Nové Hrady. These villages are characterized in detail. The factors that affect their development and the development of all the microregion are also given here. The main factors influencing the development of the municipalities include: characteristics of the territory, history, population, village amenities, transportation/traffic, proximity to towns and employment/job opportunities in the village. The most important factors that affect individual micro-region municipalities, the employment opportunities in the village and its surrounding areas, the strategic location of the village and amenities. An important step to improve the functioning of the micro-region is necessary to change the overall understanding of the micro-region and its organization. The final part of this thesis contains the comparison of individual municipalities and the subsequent evaluation of the factors that influence their development and thus even the development of all the microregion.
