Technical audit of water tanks
Šlesinger, Jan ; Kučera, Tomáš (referee) ; Tuhovčák, Ladislav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is aimed at modificating and improving the computer application TAWAT, used for technical audit of water tanks, followed by evaluating chosen water tanks using this application. The first part of the thesis provides a brief introduction into the issue of water tanks design and a description of the current state of the matters in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Further, a draft of a computer application for evaluating water tanks according to the methodology prescribed by regulation of the ministry of the environment of the Slovak Republic n. 262/2010 is developed. In the practical part dealing with evaluation of water tanks, results from the particular applications are compared for chosen objects. In the final part, a sketch of basic structure of TAWAT web application is worked out.
Reservoirs - Brno, Zluty kopec (Yellow hill)
Lackovičová, Lenka ; Zelenková, Jitka (referee) ; Nový, Vítězslav (advisor)
The Tourist Information Centre of Brno is currently searching for ideas on how to utilise and create access to out-of-use historical reservoirs located almost at the top of The Yellow Hill, in the area covered in wild vegetation hemmed in by Tomešova and Tvrdého street. The goal of the first phase of the project was to create a concept of utilisation of the area and the objects within. The second phase of Master Thesis concentrates on describing a specific idea of processes taking place in this area and a detailed design of its selected parts.
Reservoirs - Brno, Zluty kopec (Yellow hill)
Tomanová, Tereza ; Horňasová, Tereza (referee) ; Nový, Vítězslav (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the possible use of now defunct reservoirs on the Yellow Hill. This water supply complex consists of three underground reservoirs and a technical house. The area is spread over a large plot of land overgrown with wild vegetation in the middle of a residential area. The set of underground reservoirs, covered by a system of arches supported by pillars, represents a unique architectural and technical monument. The aim of the proposal is to make the reservoir area accessible to the public through new functions while preserving their historical value. The main motive of the concept is an interactive water museum built in the youngest reinforced concrete reservoir. The exhibition deals, among other things, with a very current topic of sustainable water management. The complex is complemented by a new visitor center, which will make it possible to access the reservoirs through a new entrance to the underground. The existing unmaintained area of greenery will be transformed into a public park independent of the operation of reservoirs.
Response analysis of high-rise storage tank to static and dynamic loads
Strnadlová, Kateřina ; Vlk, Zbyněk (referee) ; Nevařil, Aleš (advisor)
This thesis describes the design and construction of water reservoir assessment for static and dynamic loads. The intoduction describes the basic design type sof reservoirs, thein static solution and design conditions. It made a preliminary calculation for determining the thickness of the shell structure and designed structure is then solid using the finite element metod (FEM) in ANSYS. In conclusion, verification of load-carrying capacity, stability and usability according to standard ČSN EN.
Types and principles of water reservoirs
Cakl, Vojtěch ; Fialová, Simona (referee) ; Pochylý, František (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with decription of the water reservoirs, in particular for the purposes of the irrigation. In the first part of the thesis is overview of the functions and distribution by purpose and location to the consumption. Following is the proposal of the storage tank volume by purpose. In next part there is a description of the construction, shape and equipment of the water reservoir. Subsenquently there is expalained the principle on simple arithmetical example. The last part of the bachelor thesis focussing of multifunctional water reservoirs and their functions in relation to the landscape. It contains some examples and proper scheme of multifunctional water reservoir.
Best available elements for water tanks
Hrubý, Ladislav ; Svoboda,, Miroslav (referee) ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with analysis of particular elements of ground water storage tanks, their comparison and describtion of their characteristic. Basic information of designing volume of accumulation tank is included in the first part followed by a key section where particular construction parts and elements are described. In the next section, new types of water tanks are mentioned. In the final section of this thesis, study of 5 existing water tanks was accomplished. A technical recommendation is summed up in the final part that can be taken into account when constructing a new water storage tank.
Wind action on high-rise buildings
Damek, Marek ; Eliáš, Jan (referee) ; Nevařil, Aleš (advisor)
This thesis is focusing on comparison two approaches wind actions on high rise buildings. Determinist approach will consider by norm ČSN EN 1991-1-4. Stochastic approach by real wind speeds and synthetic generate wind speeds. Wind as a random value, variable on time and height. Model of water tower will use for the comparison.
Energy Audit od Water Supply Systems
Krupa, Filip ; Viščor,, Pavel (referee) ; Tuhovčák, Ladislav (advisor)
This Disertation deals with energetical audit of aqueduct. First part is dedicated to the current status in Czech Republic, but expecially abroad. Other part processes structure of energetical audit according to the knowledge gained and also from academic articles and set up an example, where this audit is made. Firts variant is energetically intensive water line and other variant is nergetically economical. Last part id dedicated to perform an energetical audit on real water line in Kateřinice village, Vsetín district.
Overview of technologies for water tanks reconstruction
Tanistrová, Lucie ; Tureček,, Jan (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis describes technologies and building materials used for rehabilitation measures and generally reconstructions of underground concrete water tanks. The whole realization process during reconstruction is introduced. Next part of the thesis is focused on a case study of a particular surface service reservoir, which is located in Nebory-Třinec. Case study includes detecting and describing the existing condition of the reservoir and reasons why reconstruction of the object was neccessary. Also testing of water tightness is described in detail in the bachelor’s thesis.
Reservoirs - Brno, Zluty kopec (Yellow hill)
Gomboš, Michal ; Bujna, Tomáš (referee) ; Palaščák, Michal (advisor)
After successfully avoiding of the destructive scenario with the demolition of reservoirs and replacing them with parking house, the second question arises. How to stimulate the people's interest in these underground jewels, the interest that would confirm the decision to save reservoirs. One of the possible ways, in which I see a purpose and the one that I decided to chose is to make the reservoirs accessible alongside the pathway and let the natural curiosity of human to do the rest.
