Paolo Fiammingo in Venice

Thesis on subject of Paolo Fiammingo in Venice focuses on a personality of a Netherlandish painter, who lived in Venice the most important part of his productive life. Text of the thesis resumes knowledge on his origin, regarding existing literature it suggest, that there is not enough documentation of his staying or apprenticeship until he came to Venice. In this regards, it also concludes, that he was not famous until he took part in Tintoretto's workshop in Veneto. Thesis researches possible Tosca and Roma mannerism influences of his later works by an analysis his later work and in the light of existing literature. Main part of the thesis concerns on Paolo's sojourn in Venice, which started probably in Tintoretto's workshop. Within workshop daily praxis, he was contributing in finishing some specific commissions of his Master with his apprentice colleagues. Thesis brings some witnesses concerning workshop life and also way the completed work took from the workshop to commissioner. The other part of this work turns awareness to his independent production in Venice and its close connection to his transalpine commissions. The baccalaureate dissertation "The early-maturing work of sebastiano Luciano (called del Piombo) till 1511 in Venice" deals with the problem of early maturing period of Sebastian's work in Venice before he left to Rome. The first part of the dissertation presents basic information about Sebastian's life, work and a review of his major works. The main part of the dissertation is focused upon Sebastian's younghood and the development into genious artist by confrontation with simultaneous artists and their influence. This period brought him acknowledged position between other artists in Venice and Rome. Another part of the dissertation presents the review of art pieces that he made during his early maturing period in Venice and their influence in the work of other artists. The dissertation is concluded by Venice art work catalogue.

This thesis explores the institutional changes in the Northern Italian area during Frederick I Barbarossa's era, specifically focusing on the changes in Milan and Venice. It describes the evolution of establishment of both of these cities, starting from the Early Medieval period up to the rise of the Communes during the 11th century. The core of the thesis aims to be the very Communal establishment - more precisely, the changes in the institutions raised during the reign of Frederick I. Barbarossa and the possible impact of the Lombard wars between the Emperor and the Lombard League.
Peggy Guggenheim in a Cultural-Political Picture of her Time

Peggy Guggenheim belongs to the essential collectible figures of the 20th century art. She has created a unique art collection during her lifetime and she has opened up new artistic movements (in particular Abstract art) by organizing exhibitions, debates and by publishing catalogues in which she participated. She was active in many art projects and she had friendship among many after-war modern artists. Her collection included front works of Cubism, Futurism, Metaphysical art, Abstract art, Surrealism and Avantgard sculpture. Peggy moved to the Venetian palace Venier dei Leoni in 1949, where she was living following thirty years. Today her extensive collection is opened to public under the patronage of Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation. The Diploma thesis "Peggy Guggenheim in a Cultural-Political Picture of her Time" will outline Peggy Guggenheim's life in context of emerging modern art (particularly American art) and her diverse activities which were connected with it. Furthermore it will focus on culture-political context of post-war time and finally it will evaluate her contribution to evolution of abstract art and its approach to the general public.
Venetian influances on the Boccaccio Boccaccino's work

(in English) The key theme of my thesis are venetian influences on the Boccaccio Boccaccino's work, who was one of the most important exponents of the Cremonese school of painters. Initially he worked in Genoa, Cremona and Milan and he was influenced by the painters as Leonardo, Bramantino and Boltraffio. In the years 1497-1500 Boccaccino is documented in Ferrara. In this period he executed so-called tondo Gronau, The Christ on the way to Calvary, The Virgin and Child, now in Boston, The Virgin and Child, now in Padua, The Adoration of the Shepherds, now in Naples and Dead Christ supported by an Angel. This works show the influence of Bramantino, umbrian school but also early influence of venetian art. In 1500 or 1501 he painted the altarpiece with Virgin and Child with Sts Peter, Michael, John the Baptist and John the Evangelist for the church of S. Giuliano in Venice. Models of this composition are the S. Cassiano altarpiece of Antonello da Messina and Virgin and Child with Saints which Giovanni Bellini executed for the church of S. Giobbe. Boccaccino's image in S.Giuliano is also inspired by Ercole de'Roberti and Lorenzo Costa. His colours show the influence of Giorgione. In 1506 is Boccaccino documented in Venice but also in Cremona. The thesis deals with the description and analysis of the various forms of relations between the Republic of Venice and the Kingdom of Cilicia in the period 1199-1175, during the existence of the kingdom. In introduction it provides a brief overview of the historical development of both states, with emphasis on common developmental stages in the mentioned period. The core analyzes primary sources of narrative and official character which reflect the relations of both states.

Sebastiano Ricci and his work in the Czech collections Bachelor thesis titled Sebastiano Ricci and his work in the Czech collections. This work deals with first a brief history and Baroque art in Venice. Then there pointed out the historical context of the Czech territory and presenting artists who came out most of the Venetian tradition. There are presented life of stories of Venetian painters Sebastiano and Marco Ricci and their mutual cooperation, and this uncle and nephew. The chapter dedicated to cooperation with Marc, and chapter discusses general works, to which Marco perhaps artistically involved. The last part is devoted to a catalog of works that are owned Czech, Moravian Gallery and locks. Initially, the work briefly describes the Baroque painting in Venice for the period Ricci's life that follows the life story of Sebastian and Marco Ricciových, which is associated with their mutual artistic collaboration as uncle and nephew. Last, but also an important part of this thesis is devoted to a catalog of works owned by Czech, Moravian Gallery and locks. Catalog also presents works on the same theme from foreign collections, the related question regarding Ricci authorship or the exact dating of the presented works in the catalog.
