Characterisation of TCNQ and 5A heteromolecular layers on Ag(100)
Cohl, Alexandr ; Jakub, Zdeněk (referee) ; Stará, Veronika (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the formation and subsequent characterization of mixed phases of pentacene (5A) and tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ) on the surface of a Ag(100) monocrystal. The preparation of these mixed phases was carried out by deposition from an effusion cell in ultra-high vacuum (UHV) conditions. The quality and arrangement of the formed layers were then characterized by low-energy electron microscopy (LEEM) and scanning tunneling microscopy (STM). The behaviour and arrangement of monomolecule layers of both TCNQ and 5A on the surface is also described. Mixed phases with different ratios of 5A and TCNQ and the effect initial coverage and deposition order have on the formation of the final structure are discussed as well. Ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS) measurements are used to compare the electronic properties of the 5A and TCNQ monomolecule layers with the 1:1 mixed phase.
Mobile Application for Coordinating Units on the Battlefield
Peřina, Daniel ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Hranický, Radek (advisor)
The goal of this work is to design and implement mobile application for coordinating units on the battlefield. Modern militaries use special information systems for planning, communication and quick sharing of battlefield information. These systems could be used in civilian settings, however the selection of commercially available solutions is quite limited. The available applications are usually paid and often they are not fully functional. Therefore, a new open-source mobile application implementing such a system was developed. The aplication displays a digital map showing current user positions and created map points. Map points can contain image attachments. Users can message other users directly in the application. The application was successfully tested and used in real war game with several dozens participants.
Home security system
Čada, Jan ; Burda, Karel (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the design and implementation of a security system for a family house. It consists of a central control panel, a control keyboard and detectors connected using cables. The first part of the thesis discusses the electronic security and fire alarm systems, describing the individual elements of these systems and their different types. Magnetic contacts, fire detectors, sirens and a mains power supply with UPS function are selected from the current offer based on a comparison of parameters. In the next section, a block diagram of the whole system is designed. Raspberry Pi Pico development board with an RP2040 microcontroller is selected along with a GSM module SIM800L for SMS alarm notification and an Ethernet module with a Wiznet W5500 chip for the possibility of implementing a web interface. Schematics of the individual modules of the system are designed - for the central control panel, input module with PCF8574 circuit and two PCBs of the control keyboard module, which is equipped with a button keyboard with backlight, character LCD display type 1602 and proximity sensor VL53L0X for automatic lighting when person comes closer than a defined distance. PCBs are designed according to the schematics. Their manufacturing is then ordered, all components are mounted and the PCBs are placed in a 3D printed enclosure in the case of the control keyboard, and on the mounting plate of the metal cabinet in the case of the central control panel, according to the designed mounting plan. For the selected piezo sirens, covers are designed and 3D printed in the design of the selected Paradox NV5 motion sensors. In addition to the central control panel and the control keyboard, door and window contacts, fire detectors and sirens are installed in the house. The next part is dealing with the development of the control software for the central control panel and control keyboard in MicroPython language and the design of a custom communication protocol on the RS-485 bus for communication between the central control panel and control keyboard. Both control programs are based on the state machine principle, and their state diagrams are presented in the thesis. Part of the text is also focused on the development of the central control panel web interface and integration of the desinged system into the Home Assistant open-source automation system. The last part describes the activation and testing of the system in real conditions of a family house.
Design of reliable enterprise networks with service quality support
Kiška, Martin ; Koutný, Martin (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
This work deals with creating a reliable corporate network and its variety capabilities against loops and supporting QoS on link and network layer. On the basis of theoretical knowledge is designed an experimental network in the laboratory of Institute of Telecommunications composed of several computers, VoIP pohones, switches and routers. Functinonal network is then tested to failure of individual nodes and the impact on network traffic. In another part of this bachelor thesis this network is tested using different QoS support options.
Uninterruptible Supply of the Hospital Information System
Kučera, Josef ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Fedra, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the proposal for an appropriate source of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to the school server UBMI where is currently installed HIS (hospital information system) CLINICOM Corporate SMS. UPS should have ensure the protection of data being unfinished, secure off site and to inform the line voltage failure.
Uninterruptible Power Supply
Mrázek, Petr ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
The thesis deals with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and associated problems of backup power in case of unexpected outages of electricity. Start of work is dedicated to limitation of the electricity supplies, as well as their causes and consequences. Furthermore, brief history of UPS and subsequently distinguish between UPS’s architectures. There is also a description of the energy sources such as batteries, flywheels or fuel cells. Part of thesis describes security of electricity supply in health care facilities, including requirements for emergency power. The own design of UPS is described in the end.
FLATcon system – flat control system with RF communication
Krivoklatský, Filip ; Arm, Jakub (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis discusses solutions of smart houses. It presents some of the available solutions on market and points out its positives and negatives. The thesis itself focuses on solutions which support wireless communication. Subsequently, the design of custom solution named FLATcon is being proposed. It includes designing of central unit, which is the main part of the system. First, the hardware part is being designed. Base of this is minicomputer Raspberry Pi 3 B with necessary inputs and outputs. Uninterruptible power supply and wireless communication interface are also part of the design. Subsequently, thesis focuses on control software design and on user interface in form of web server. At the end of this thesis, achieved results are presented.
