Changes in rainfall-runoff regime and biogeochemistry in headwater areas
Fraindová, Kateřina
Headwater areas are a very important current or potential drinking water source. Their ecological value for the whole ecosystem is equally important. Headwater areas are sites with minimal anthropogenic intervention and usually the least polluted water sources. Changes in climate and rainfall-runoff (R-R) regime together with water quality in these areas affect the status and availability of water further downstream significantly. It is also one of the most sensitive areas and is an early indicator of ongoing changes. This thesis focuses on the main issues that are already ongoing and are affecting the availability of drinking water significantly. Some of these are trends in R-R regime in the context of the climate change and glacier retreat in headwater areas. As a very good example of a mid-latitude river with a complex rainfall-runoff regime, where a large impact of regional climate warming and glacier retreat are strongly manifested, The Athabasca River Basin was selected for this study. Related to this issue is the river water quality, which is influenced by changes in both temperature and R-R regime, together with the increasing occurrence of extreme hydrometeorological situations such as droughts and floods. The effects of land cover on water quality are also analysed, along with consideration of...
Steam boiler burning fytomass waste
Plot, Rostislav ; Skála, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with the calculation of the boiler on stillage. Nowadays, when there's fossil fuels are just biomass seems adequate compensation. The great advantage of biomass boilers is a small amount of emissions, especially the greenhouse gas CO2. Of a given fuel composition is made thermal calculation and dimensioning of heat transfer surfaces of steam boilers. The resulting calculation must follow the parameters of steam at the outlet from the boiler.
Temperature Influence over Vibration Sensors
Kadubec, Petr ; Vdoleček, František (referee) ; Zuth, Daniel (advisor)
This graduation thesis deals with temperature influence on vibration sensors. Vibration sensors are situated on facilities which heat up temperatures during its activity or are situated on a place where another resources of a heat are. Affected vibration sensors can markedly influent result of the diagnostic facilities.
Temperature and gas leak sensor for caravan
Indrák, Dominik ; Urbanec, Tomáš (referee) ; Frýza, Tomáš (advisor)
This work deal with develop, manufacture and programming of device (choice suitable components, design and manufacture of printed circuit board, write controlling firmware for MCU), which will measure dangerous gases LPG, temperature and humidity in caravans for the company Cutter Systems spol. s.r.o. The radio frequency 863-870 MHz, eventually asynchronous communication UART is used for communication and sending measurement data. In the next section will be describe the develop of the hardware with a device enclosure and firmware writing.
Cast-in-place tank of sewage plant
Čožík, Martin ; Šiška, Radek (referee) ; Strnad, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design and assessment of monolithic reinforced concrete structures tanks and wastewater treatment plants in accordance with applicable standards and drafting drawings. The tank is divided into individual solved parts: base plate, walls and ceiling plate. These parts are designed according to the ultimate limit states and serviceability. Resolves an assessment of the foundation structure according to the second geotechnical categories.
Development of electronic circuitry for remote controlled bathyscaphe
Trýska, Tomáš ; Musil, Vladislav (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is the development of electronic circuitry for remote controlled bathyscaphe and allow it to move, measure the working values and transmit the video stream from IP camera to the computer. Camera itself can be also remotely tilted by a small servo motor. The bathyscaphe is controlled through a simple computer program.
Project of Overhead Line
Chrástek, Radim ; Těžký, Jiří (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
Overhead line has to suit a series of requests, so that all its parts safely resist mechanical and electrical tension. This bachelor’s thesis deals with mechanical tension. At first, necessary overhead line’s relationships under different climatic conditions are deduced. Consequently, practical calculations are introduced. Calculations are done with Matlab program.
The energy independent flow meter with remote reading
Šindelář, Jindřich ; Růžek, Václav (referee) ; Dřínovský, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the design of a self-powered sensor for measurement of water flow rate and temperature in water pipelines. The key block of this thesis is the construction of an electric generator powered by excitation with turbulent flow. The generated voltage should power the sensor's circuits and allow water flow rate measurements. Throughout the development, three prototypes of generators powered by turbulent flow were created. Turbulences were not created by an insertion of a bluff body but by inner geometry of the pipeline elements. Maximum power of 10,66 uW was generated at flow rate of 8 m3/h. Afterwards, a prototype of water flow rate and temperature sensor was assembled. Energy self-sufficiency of the device at common flow rates was not achieved using the chosen procedure. The designed flow rate measurement method is suitable for an approximate flow rate estimation.
Electrochemical Properties of Lithium-Ion battery under Elevated Temperature
Kulíková, Barbora ; Chladil, Ladislav (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
This Master’s thesis deals with a monitoring of the temperature influence on Li-ion batteries, literature search of this topic and proposal of experiments. First chapter contains the theory of evolution and fundamentals of the Li-ion batteries. Planned experiments with flow charts and block diagrams are described in the second chapter. The work station is explained along with a description of the execution of the experiments in the third chapter. The experiments are analyzed and results explained in the last chapter.
Design of Flow, Temperature and Pressure Measuring System
Macíček, Ondřej ; Čížek, Martin (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
This master’s thesis contains complete design of the complex measuring system for temperature, pressure and flow. Objects of measuring are pressure in rabbit’s heart ventricle, flow of the saline through the heart and the temperatures of physiological solution. Work is interested in programming of microcontroller and program for LabVIEW environment, which is used to view and export relevant data related to measuring. Text also contains technical documentation of functional sample of measuring system.
