Optimizing the Properties of the Coatings prepared by the Cold Spray Method using Heat Treatment
Bartošík, Vojtěch ; Šmíd, Miroslav (referee) ; Hutařová, Simona (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the choice of heat treatment parameters of the metal coating of austenitic unstabilized stainless steel AISI 304L applied by the Cold spray method. With the help of suitable heat treatment, it is possible to adjust the mechanical properties, reduce the porosity and, last but not least, also remove high residual stresses in the material. The theoretical part of the work is devoted to literature research on the topic of Cold spray technology, corrosion and corrosion-resistant steels. The experimental part describes the procedures for measuring samples that have undergone heat treatment. This took place in the temperature range of 500 to 1100 °C, always with an hour's holding time at the temperature, followed by cooling in air. In addition to these samples, the material was also examined in its initial state. Porosity, microhardness and also magnetism were determined. To analyze the structure, photographs were taken on a light and electron scanning microscope. Based on the results, heat treatment with an hourly hold at 700 °C seems to be a good choice, where a significant decrease in porosity, partial recovery of the structure while maintaining high microhardness and also grain fineness was observed.
Influence of heat treatment on mechanical properties od Inconel 713 LC Ni superalloy
Nopová, Klára ; Válka, Libor (referee) ; Pantělejev, Libor (advisor)
The main aim of this bachelor thesis was evaluation of the influence of heat treatment, HIP processing and of semi-product shape on mechanical properties and microstructure of Ni-superalloy Inconel 713LC. Tensile tests at room temperature and hardness measurement were performed for all types of the samples. Fractographic analysis was conducted after tensile tests for evaluation of the influence of processing on mechanisms of the fracture.
Development of process parameters for Selective Laser Melting technology for processing of aluminum alloy AlSi7
Zvoníček, Josef ; Dočekalová, Kateřina (referee) ; Koutný, Daniel (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the study of the influence of process parameters of AlSi7Mg0.6 aluminum alloy processing using the additive technology Selective Laser Melting. The main objective is to clarify the influence of the individual process parameters on the resulting porosity of the material and its mechanical properties. The thesis deals with the current state of aluminum alloy processing in this way. The actual material research of the work is carried out in successive experiments from the welding test to the volume test with subsequent verification of the mechanical properties of the material. Material evaluation in the whole work is material porosity, stability of individual welds, hardness of the material and its mechanical properties. The results are compared with the literature.
Heat Treatment of Forged Axles
Kaizar, Libor ; Němec, Karel (referee) ; Molliková, Eva (advisor)
This thesis presents a production and heat treatment of forged axles. Additionally, there is the supplier selection procedures for the production of steel axles, mechanical and chemical tests, methods of preservation and packaging of axles. All procedures and technologies that are listed in this work are used in Bonatrans Group Inc., which is in production and processing of axles one of the largest companies in the world.
List of Tool Materials in Forming Operations
Horník, Tomáš ; Podaný, Kamil (referee) ; Šlais, Miroslav (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis elaborated within the scope of full-time study of specialization B-STI Mechanical Engineering is dealing with forming technologies and choice of tool steels for the production of forming tools. In the initial part of the work we are engaged in forming theoretical background, such as forming resists and shaping rules. Another section is devoted to tool steels and their most frequent heat treatment. In the following section of search is a basic description of the selected forming operations, including the use of machines and tools and highlight of the essential elements of the technology. Requirements for material of the tool are also listed there. The goal of this work is creating steel material sheet for cutting and extrusion tools and dies. These sheets are located in the attachment of this work.
Heat treatment of formed parts
Poloch, Milan ; Peterková, Eva (referee) ; Lidmila, Zdeněk (advisor)
Bachelor thesis focusing on heat treatment of formed parts. The chapter of basic termsdeals with steels for forming. Concrete formability and influence on plastic deformationson steel properties, influence of chemical composition, structural composition and termomechanical conditions during deformation. In the larger parts of the thesis are carriedout heat treatment. The prohibited concepts of heat treatment are explained in the in-troductory question and some follow the basic methods and then the basic methods ofheat treatment such as annealing and tempering with tempering are explained. All ofthese technologies have their own subchapters and are illustrated and supplemented withgraphs and figures. The practical amount consists of plastic deformations of roller-shaped samples. The samples were deformed, measured hardness, heat treatment followed bymeasured hardness. Changes of mechanical properties on samples are evaluated.
Heat treatment of hand tightening tools
Gregor, Martin ; Kouřil, Miloslav (referee) ; Doležal, Pavel (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis deals with problems of heat treatment of hand tightening tools. Literary analysis is focused on the principles of heat treatment such as annealing, austenitizing, quenching and tempering. Attention is also focused on unconventional heat treatment technology using vacuum and furnace atmospheres based on nitrogen. Analysis of dividing and heat treatment of tool steels is another subject of literary research. In the experimental part are machinery and technological progress of the stock in the company Wera Werk s.r.o., which has more than 50 years engaged in the manufacture, sales and innovation of hand tightening tools. Following processing of the experimental material with a focus on heat treatment and mechanical properties indicate in laboratory tests. Based on the measured and statistically processed values of mechanical quantities is developed design optimization process of heat treatment of hand tightening tools of Wera Werk.
Optimalization of Heat Treatment and Choice of Material for Woodworking Industrial Knifes
Nevřala, Martin ; Zapletal, Josef (referee) ; Kolář, Zdeněk (advisor)
The aim of this thessis is heat treatment and choice of material for Woodworking optimalization. Industrial Knives in conjunction with company Pilana Tools Knives. Knives of this company are used in different parts of the world, among others in northern states too, where are working in extreme conditions about temperature low below of freezing point. That’s why was tested many samples in another working conditions.
Influence of metallurgical treatment and foundry technology on quality of steel castings
Návrat, Radim ; Šenberger, Jaroslav (referee) ; Záděra, Antonín (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to determine the impact of the used chemical composure during metallurgical treatment and foundry technology on the inner and surface quality of experimental casting under operational conditions at Třinec foundry. Structure and properties of magnesium alloys Mg-Ca-Zn
Hlavnička, Jiří ; Pacal, Bohumil (referee) ; Doležal, Pavel (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with design and preparation of a new biodegradable magnesium alloy based on Mg-Ca-Zn. Based on information from literature, the Mg-3Zn-2Ca alloy was designed. The base material was produced by gravity casting and the evaluation in the as-cast and heat treated state was performed. For preparation of the experimental material, following methods were designed: squeeze casting, hot rolling and the ECAP. During preparation by hot rolling, no optimal conditions were found and significant cracks occurred in both as-cast and heat treated material. In the case of experimental material, prepared by the ECAP method with back-pressure, better combination of stress-strain properties was observed. Also the squeeze casting method showed improvement; especially the amount of casting defects was eliminated. The evaluation of microstructure and mechanical properties was performed by the light and scanning electron microscopy, RTG phase analysis and the tensile and compression tests.
