This document deals with process approach and it´s use in measuring companies performance. It presents an overview of individual approaches, from traditional containing only financial indicators to modern ones using non-financial indicators and incorporating into the measurement the areas related to customers employees and more. The work also mentions the Quality Management System contained in ISO 9001: 2015 and it´s approach to performance measurement. The chapter about metrics covers performance measures, in particular key performance indicators, their purpose, properties and distribution. Here are also presented the procedures for their determination and the pitfalls to be taken into consideration in their selection and use. Next chapters are devoted to the compilation of a metric system of specific companies.
The System of Process Audits for Medical Industry

The Master’s thesis deals with the area of conducting process audits in a large multinational corporation focused on manufacturing and distribution of medical devices, which has a subsidiary in the Czech Republic. The thesis discusses the analysis of the current set up of the internal audits‘ system in the corporation and there are changes of the quality system being proposed on the basis of the analysis, whose aim is to achieve a full compliance with the requirements of the US administration FDA, the standard ISO 13485 as well as the recent requirements on performing process audits. The emphasis is also put on the setting of the system such that it provides the highest possible added value for its users, can be easily implemented in practice and is flexible as well.

This diploma thesis deals with the issues related to the quality management system in the field of secondary education, specifically in relation to the provision of education with an apprenticeship certificate. The quality management system is mostly associated with the private sector as a production process. However, the quality of services is as important as the quality of products. Quality management has also been known to the public sector for several years. Also state administration organizations, local authorities, universities, etc. deal with the quality management system. Secondary schools should certainly not be excluded from this sphere, as it is a necessary part of the school education system. The quality of the education provided, its course and results should undoubtedly be systematically managed. The first part of the thesis contains the definition of basic concepts focused on education and the school education system, defining quality, quality management methods (ISO, TQM, EFQM, CAF) and the principles of quality management in education.
