Operational Programme Environment

The objective of the thesis is to evaluate the Operational Programme Environment. Information about the European Cohesion Policy with focus on the 2007-2013 programming period is summarized in the opening part of the thesis. The second section describes the way the programme works focusing on the project cycle in terms of the applicant as well as of the provider of the support. The findings from the theoretical part are applied on a particular example from practice: the construction of the sewerage system and wastewater treatement plant in České Meziříčí. This project is covered by the Priority Axis 1 - The Improvement of Water Management Infrastructure and Reduction of Flood Risks.
Innovations in the EU and possibilities of their support in the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with the topic of innovations in the EU and the instruments of their support. The aim of this paper is to sum up the results of the support which was provided for innovations in the last decade and to identify possible problematic areas which hinder achieving the stated goals in this field. In the first part, after a short introduction where innovations and related terms are defined, innovations are put in context with the Lisbon strategy and the strategy Europe 2020 - the key European strategic documents. The second part focuses on the description of the EU financial instruments which are used to support the R&D&I in the Czech Republic. The final part deals with analysis of the current position of the European Union in the area of innovations and identifies the problematic areas.

This bachelor thesis is about funds of the European union.The first part includes cohesion policy with its aims and characterization of the funds. The second part explains how the funds work . In this part is also mentioned how the funds are managed and what the project should contain if its goal is to gain money. The third part, the last one, describes countries which obtain financial help and compares them. In my thesis I focus on structural funds because I consider them the most important. In conclusion I summarize the aims which I gathered and I describe my opinion.
Cohesion policy of the European Union focussed on the Czech republic

This thesis deals with cohesion policy in programming period 2007-2013. There are sources of regional development and targets of the European Union and Czech republic defined in the first part of the thesis. In the second part the allocation for Czech republic is compared with the allocations of the other member states of European Union and up to now drawing from structural funds/Cohesion fund is being evaluated. in the 17 operational programmes. The last chapter is focussed on impediments to a successful drawing.
EU Regional policy and its contribution to the protection of the environment

The main objective of this bachelor work is to evaluate, how in the reality of the Czech republic the structural funds of the EU can be granted and how these finances can be used to the improvement of the environment and to the support of the sustainable growth. I focus on the department of waste economy more closely. As a practical example of dotation from the european funds the Biogas station in the town of Žďár nad Sázavou is introduced. Furthermore, the work defines Regional policy of the EU and focuses on The Operational Programme Environment.
The Structural Funds and Their Influence to Královéhradecký Region

The Thesis deals with the Structural Funds and their impact to a particular region of the Czech Republic, Královéhradecký region. It also deals with Regional Policy of the European Union at all the levels (European,regional and local). The thesis also presents a concrete project realized in a small town called Železnice to show a particular impact of Structural Funds to a local region of the Czech Republic.
The role of European Union funds in local politics and their utilization exemplified on Sušice

The thesis deals with the Structural Funds of European Union in relation to the local politics. Its goal is to analyze the role of these funds in the Municipal Elections and in the daily local politics. This is demonstrated on the example of the West Bohemian town Sušice. Special attention is paid especially to the election programs of the political parties in terms of the Structural Funds and to major projects, which were implemented with the support of the funds.
Structural Funds to the Development of Human Resources

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate economic policy of European Union, particularly structural funds aimed at development of human resources. The problems of structural funds are highly monitored currently, especially due to the fact, that the government of the Czech Republic can obtain 26, 69 billions of Euro in 2007-2013 programming period. This amount equals to three quarters of the budget of the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to gather information and give a compact abstract about the funds, to formulate the goals of particular preferenced axes and to them related activities that are supported. The practical part attends to the procedure of EU subsidies request, especially project intention, project request and the procedure of regest evaluation.
Use of the feasibility studies in the EU projects financed by structural funds

The bachelor thesis aims on the practical use of the Feasibility Study in the projects supported by the European Union. Theoretical part presents the regional policy of the EU and current financial resources available for the Czech small and medium enterprises. It focuses on the importance and structure of the feasibility study, which is part of the applicant's project application. The analytical part of the thesis describes three real studies from three different Czech companies - SMEs operating in the printing industry. The applicants co-financed their projects from the operational program OPPI, subprogram ICT in enterprises. The bachelor thesis analyzes the impact of the feasibility study on the implementation of individual projects. The main goal of this work is to answer the question whether the information included in the feasibility studies describing the progress of the project corresponds to the real situation during the implementation.
Use of structural funds for environmental investments

The objective is to present overall situation in the environmental area and the development of the key indicators in recent years in the Czech Republic in relation to funding systems based on the long term environmental strategy of EU. Altough the thesis is essentialy focused on EU funds, the mention of European Economic Area Grants and Norway Grants is considered important because of increasing use of these funding opportunities. The objective of the chapitres is to present the key funding opportunities from different funding sources and to show some already finished projects.
