The convergence of esport and streaming in professional trajectories on the Czech gaming scene
Jerman, Petr ; Švelch, Jan (advisor) ; Švelch, Jaroslav (referee)
The thesis focuses on the topic of the convergence of esports and streaming on the Czech gaming scene. Its aim is to find specific areas and activities which connect the two seemingly different, but closely linked areas of media entertainment and video game industry. The theoretical part presents the phenomena of esport and streaming, including both their unique connecting and dividing elements. The thesis focuses primarily on the role of streamers and streaming platforms in esports, but also on their common connection to media entertainment and creative work in digital or video game culture. In the research section, the data is collected using in-depth semi-structured interviews focused on streamers and esports participants or employees who have experience or operate within both industries. Subsequent data analysis and final discussion answer the established research questions. It thus uncovers common areas and activities that contribute to the convergence of esports and streaming. The thesis also addresses monetization methods as well as the current situation and working conditions in the Czech esports environment. The presented results point to the mutual cooperation between the two sectors, with an emphasis on the more independent role of streaming compared to esports, which in turn tries to...
Twitch: Interactive Workshop, Café or Billboard?
BRIXÍ, Václav
The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze chosen live-streaming platform and the term itself. Particular emphasis is focused on the description of Twitch.tv and its functions. An important segment is the stratification of represented content creators into three archetypal groups. The central element of this thesis is the aspect of interactivity, which defines streaming in all of its forms. Based on this author tries to present streaming as an artistic activity and the individual channels as an artificially created space suitable for easy self-presentation.
Dissemination of so-called fake news about the key events of 2020 among YouTubers and Twich streamers
Gobyová, Kateřina ; Miessler, Jan (advisor) ; Hodboď, Vojtěch (referee)
Object of this thesis is to compare the broadcast content of selected YouTubers and Twitch streamers related to the main events of 2020 with how traditional media organizations such as television, press or Internet news servers inform the public about the same topics. It also deals with the possible influence of opinions, especially of young viewers, who represent the target audience for most YouTubers and Twitch streamers. Based on a comparison of the coverage of selected events, the work also attempts to assess whether or not leading Czech YouTubers and Twitch streamers can be considered relevant sources of information in crisis situations.

DYNAMICS OF ACCELERATING STREAMER IN BARRIER DISCHARGE IN AIR.
Hoder, T. ; Bonaventura, Z. ; Prukner, Václav ; Šimek, Milan
An accelerating streamer in barrier discharge is generated in 10 torr pressure air. Using the complex voltage waveform, the stable and reproducible discharge is triggered. From the ratio of two spectral bands of molecular nitrogen the electric field is determined in 2D. These results are well resolved in time and space thus suitable as a benchmark for computation of the streamer initiated plasma-chemistry in air.
Interakce UV záření s povrchovým nábojem v N2 povrchovém DBD
De Benedictis, S. ; Ambrico, P. F. ; Dilecce, G. ; Šimek, Milan
In this paper we report on space and time resolved spectroscopic measurements on Masuda type surface DBD fed by N2. In our configuration the discharge presents some defects that lead to the formation of some bright spot inside a regular discharge region formed by streamers. We have carried out an optical investigation of both the regular discharge region and the bright spot one with the aim to stress the aspects of photo emission contribution in the dynamics of microdischarge. We have carried out also spectroscopic space and time resolved investigation of discharge emission when UV photons by a pulsed laser interact with the dielectric surface of DBD. There is a similarity between the time evolution of emission from bright spots and that produced by laser photons.
