Monitoring of GSM network
Trávníček, Tomáš ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Koutný, Martin (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on problems of monitoring GSM network using a mobile phone. Problems are analyzed on a theoretic basis with a description of available network parameters. Then the thesis offers a description of existing application environments providing a user with given data about the network. The main part of this work describes a development of application compiling queue data from mobile network and GPS, and creates output data illustrating signal strength in selected areas. The work also includes extensive measuring in select areas together with an evaluation of the processed data.
Speech analysis using iOS or Android system
Hejda, Jakub ; Galáž, Zoltán (referee) ; Mekyska, Jiří (advisor)
The telemendicine is rapidly growing industrial branch and gives an opportunity of easier diagnosis needed for much more effective treating methods development. The aim is to develop a smartphone application for the diagnosis of prolonged phonation of pati- ents with Parkinson’s disease. Qt has been chosen s the main framework, allowing the multiplatform development using various combination of languages consisting of C++, QML, Java and JavaScript. Required functionality has been completely implemented. The application guides a user through the process of recording, then executes the analy- sis, saves data into database and displays the history into well-arranged charts, the user can also set a notification to remind him of a recording. The application can be compiled for all widely used mobile and desktop systems.
Speech Recognition Algorithms in FPGA/DSP
Urbiš, Oldřich ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with design of speech recognition algorithms with consideration of target technology, which is platform combinating digital signal processing and field programmable gate array. Algorithms for speech recognition includes: feature extraction of Melfrequency cepstral coefficients, hidden Markov models and their evaluation by Viterbi algorithm.
Using repeaters to enhance cellular communication signals
Kubásek, Ondřej ; Kubánek, David (referee) ; Koutný, Martin (advisor)
This thesis examines possibile applications of RF repeaters to improve the mobile networks signal coverage. An overview of various types of repeaters is given, while advantages and disadvantages of particular types are discussed. The questions of antenna isolation and resulting repeater gain settings are solved here as well. The thesis also considers a proposal of repeater system to improve the signal coverage in the trains of the České dráhy, a.s. company. This proposal analyses the questions of signal penetration and propagation in trains, possibilities of implementing repeaters into carriages, system diagnostics and the financial issues. The proposal is supported by the results of a trial measurement taken out in the cooperation among T-Mobile Czech Republic a.s., Vodafone Czech Republic a.s., Telefónica O2 Czech Republic a.s., České dráhy a.s. (Czech Railways Company) a ČD-Telematika a.s. on the Prague – Ostrava line.
LPC Speech Coding
Zapletal, Ondřej ; Kyselý, František (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
The contents of the thesis "LPC speech coding" are studies of this method of a parametric source coding, explanation of mathematical procedures that are used in it (linear prediction, autocorrelation, Levinson-Durbin algorithm, transfer to a form suitable for transmission, Chebyshev root searching polynomial method) and acquaintance with the signification and application of that method in real speech encoders. The task of the original project of this thesis is a description and simulation of a simple speech encoder based on LPC, which transforms a real speech signal into a bit flow, which contains all of the significant parameters for its backward reconstruction (LSF coefficients, pitch period, excitation level, voice detection - AMDF method). One part of this thesis is a discussion about currently used speech encoders.
Device for measuring the ECG signal
Borkovec, Michal ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Balogh, Jaroslav (advisor)
This work deals with designing the circuit worthy for the acquisition and display of the ECG signal from the patient. The theoretical part was staged anatomy of the heart, its electrical activity and the ECG signal acquisition opportunities. On the basis of the theoretical part, was designed circuits and software for the acquisition of ECG signal and its subsequent display. It was a series of measurements on the simulator to verify the correctness of a circuit design software.
Set of Web-Based Demonstrations for Signal Processing
Kaňok, Tomáš ; Jančík, Zdeněk (referee) ; Černocký, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to give a basic overview about convolutions and complex exponential functions used in signal processing. Additionally, it contains the list of existing public educationally-oriented solutions available on the Internet. Set of web-based demonstrations for signal processing is proposed, implemented and evaluated upon analyzed solutions.
Data Analysis and Clasification from the Brain Activity Detector
Ullrich, Petr ; Šůstek, Martin (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
This thesis deals with the issue of recording brain activity, implementation of its processing, analysis and classification. The OpenBCI hardware is used for recording. I have studied and described necessary information about recording brain activity and OpenBCI project. Design for data set, data processing and thoughts classification was created. Created system allows classification based on recorded brain activity. The neural network was used for classfication, but the success of the recognition of designed classes was not high.
Universal BLDC motor controller
Pijáček, Ondřej ; Pohl, Lukáš (referee) ; Veselý, Libor (advisor)
This thesis describes the design of universal control unit for BLDC motor powered from airplane power distribution system of 28 V capable of driving motor up to 10 A. The maximal engine power is about 250 W. Important prerequisite is possibility of driving various motor size without needs of changing wiring board using only the configuration in the auxiliary memory unit. To control different motors is enough one unit with one program without any way to interfere to the unit itself.
Design and implementation of the control for the robotic cell
Mbontar, Patrik ; Pochylý, Aleš (referee) ; Kubela, Tomáš (advisor)
This master´s thesis thesis deals with the design of software for the control of a robotic cell, which consists of two KUKA robots and a belt conveyor. The robots will perform robotic operations similar to those in real industrial practice. At the beginning of the work will be the state of current knowledge. A key part will be the design of software for robotic cell control in the TwinCAT environment from Beckhoff. The robots and the conveyor will be controlled by a superior PLC, which will be commanded from the designed software using the HMI. The goal is to successfully implement the proposed software for robotic cell control and monitoring using a unique visualization, which will be designed specifically for the robotic cell and its associated manipulation operations.
