Flight planning according to IFR rules
Mudrych, Alex ; Chlebek, Jiří (referee) ; Hammer, Jaromír (advisor)
The bachelor thesis describes the issue of IFR flight planning by analysing the individual phases of an IFR flight. The bachelor thesis includes the introduction of software tools and applications used for the IFR route planning, pre-flight preparation and filling the flight plan. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis present a demonstration of the IFR flight planning procedure by using the IBS RLP system. It is a description of the individual steps in the preparation of a flight from the Brno airport LKTB to the Vaclav Havel airport LKPR.
Design of RNAV SID and STAR air routes for Brno-Tuřany airport
Zvolánek, Jiří ; Ing. Duka (referee) ; Vosecký, Slavomír (advisor)
The main content of this master’s thesis is design of RNAV SID and STAR routes for Brno Tuřany Airport. The study analyses usage of current conventional instrument arrivals and departures published for the aerodrome and describes its TMA. The new precision RNAV routes and the terminal area are designed based on the indentified information. A detailed construction of the chosen departure procedure is enclosed.
Implementation of PBN - Performance Based Navigation Procedures to Regional Airport
Veselý, Petr ; Soldán,, Vladimír (referee) ; Vosecký, Slavomír (referee) ; Kevický, Dušan (advisor)
The thesis focuses on issues of the procedures in the terminal manoeuvring area (TMA) at regional airports. The goal is to provide a complex study of possible implementation of instrumental arrivals, departures and approaches on the basis of the requirements of the Performance Based Navigation (PBN) at a particular regional airport in the Czech Republic (Kunovice airport). The simulative evaluation of the operational impacts caused by the suggested changes in TMA Brno and CTR Kunovice is also a part of the thesis. The last section is focused on providing a generic methodology describing the process of design and evaluation of PBN procedures.

Studium produkce jetů v jádro-jaderných srážkách na urychlovači RHIC

Title: Study of jet production in nucleus-nucleus collisions at RHIC Author: Mgr. Zuzana Barnovská Department: Institute of Particle and Nuclear Physics Supervisor: RNDr. Jana Bielčíková, Ph.D., Nuclear Physics Institute of the ASCR Abstract: The goal of this thesis is to study strange particles (Λ, ¯Λ a K0 S) in jets at the energy of √ sNN = 200 GeV in d+Au and Au+Au collisions measured by the STAR experiment at RHIC in 2007 and 2008. After the application of geometrical and topological limits, jets were reconstructed with the kT and anti- kT jet algorithms and special selection criteria for strange particles were applied. Ratios of the production of strange baryons and mesons in jets were calculated and compared to previous results of inclusive V0 particle production measured by the STAR experiment. Study of centrality dependence of these ratios was performed and compared to values in d+Au collisions. Keywords: jets, d+Au collisions, Au+Au collisions, STAR, RHIC 1
Local steroidogenesis in peripheral tissues and its regulation
Langová, Veronika ; Ergang, Peter (advisor) ; Hudcovic, Tomáš (referee)
The innate and adaptive immune processes are modulated by hormones including glucocorticoids and by microbiota. The exact mechanisms underlying the microbial and hormonal contributions to this control are not completely clear. Present study is therefore focused to crosstalk between microbiota and de novo biogenesis or local regeneration of glucocorticoids. In particular, the study analysed the effect of commensal microbiota on expression of genes encoding steroidogenic enzymes (Star, Cyp11a1, Hsd3b1, Cyp21a1, Cyp11b1) and regeneration of glucocorticoids (Hsd11b1) in adrenal glands, colon, spleen and mesenteric lymph nodes using conventional and germ-free mice. The expression of all 5 components of steroidogenesis was identified only in the adrenal gland and colon, whereas the lymphoid organs expressed predominantly Star, Cyp11a1 and Hsd3b1 indicating the ability to produce only progesterone but not corticosterone. Microbiota decreased the expression of Star in all studied tissues but the expression of other genes was insensitive to microbiota or did not respond homogenously depending on the tissue and gene. Hsd11b1 expression was upregulated by microbiota in the spleen but not in other tissues. Similarly, the in vitro treatment of immune cells isolated from mesenteric lymph nodes by microbial...
The development of Jaromír Jagr's media image in 1994-2014
Suchan, František ; Němcová Tejkalová, Alice (advisor) ; Trunečka, Ondřej (referee)
This thesis deals with the analysis of the media image of a hockey player Jaromir Jagr during the past 20 years (1994-2014), when he was a significant figure in the Czech national hockey team and one of the most outstanding athletes of the country. Qualitative analysis of the texts subjected primarily from three major newspapers (Sport, Mladá Fronta DNES, Blesk) is supplemented by examples from books and television programs. The research sample is defined by periods in which Jaromir Jagr have had publicity mainly due to the events in his sports career. Analysed periods mostly connect to major tournaments of hockey national team or to change of Jagr's employer. With the help of specific examples of each of the time periods this thesis describes the evolution of reporting about Jagr in Czech mass media. In terms of media theory it classifies analyzed media exposure with identifying myths and elements of celebritization contained in the texts. They make the media picture of Jagr different during the time. The analysis shows that the media image of Jaromir Jagr has undergone significant changes during the period. Star - sport magazine of the first czechoslovak republic
Hoffmann, Martin ; Lukšů, David (advisor) ; Halada, Jan (referee)
This bachelor thesis aims to illuminate evolution of sports illustrated magazine Star, which was published in years 1926-1938 in Czech publishing house Melantrich. Magazine Star was also used to illuminate the situation of Czech sports journalism in 1920' and 1930'. Thesis describes the very beginning of Star and also clarifies its extinction right before signing of the Munich Agreement by Great Britain, France, Germany and Italy. It also focuses on sports journalists, who had the main impact on this magazine, and several important Czech and world famous athletes, whose articles were published in STAR. Paper also presents political a social environment in Czechoslovak republic after WWI and describes the state of Czech sports journalism in main newspapers. All published issues of Star were analysed to get information to write this thesis, as well as many years of Czech newspapers České slovo, Národní listy, Lidové noviny a Rudé právo and several other books. The findings from this research show a complex view of sports illustrated magazine Star and offer insights into history of Czech sports journalism.
Singing competitions SuperStar and XFactor in czech press-Blesk, Mladá fronta DNES
Charvátová, Terezie ; Vedral, Jan (advisor) ; Sládková, Hana (referee)
In this thesis, the author focus on the description of mass, later called popular culture, and its products, the two selected, originally British, talent singing reality show, "Česko hledá SuperStar" (and "Česko Slovenská SuperStar") and X Factor. Their competitors are the subject for qualitative research of articles in periodical press. The aim of the research is using qualitative content analysis to analyse "Mladá fronta DNES" and "Blesk", and how published texts construct contestants of selected shows. For research was selected period of time when the competition was broadcasted, February - June 2004; February - June 2008 and September - December 2009.
