Case Study of Physiotherapeutic Care for a Patient Diagnosed with Ischemic Stroke

Author: Doubravka Jansová Supervisor: PhDr. Ivana Vláčilová, Ph.D. Title: Case Study of Physiotherapeutic Care for a Patient Diagnosed with Ischemic Stroke Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis was to summarize theoretical knowledge about ischemic stroke and to develop a case study of a patient after an ischemic stroke. Methods: The thesis is divided into a general and practical part. In the general part, the thesis focus on describing the theoretical background of this diagnosis using professional literature. The practical part presents a case study of a patient with whom I had the opportunity to collaborate during a continuous professional practice at the Rehabilitation Inpatient Department at Na Homolce Hospital in Prague from January 30 to February 9, 2024. The case study includes patient examination, proposed therapy based on initial values, daily therapy records, and evaluation of the subsequent therapy effect. Results: During several therapeutic sessions, most of the short-term physiotherapeutic plan goals were achieved, including preventing the development of spasticity, preventing muscle shortening, maintaining joint ranges of motion, improving the active mobility of the left extremities, improving the sitting and walking stereotype, and increasing independence in daily activities....

Title: Case report of physiotherapeutic care of patient with diagnosis ischemic stroke. Objectives: The main aim of this thesis was processing casuistic of ischemic stroke diagnosis patient, and obtain theoretical knowledge about this illness. Methods: Bachelor thesis is divided into general and special part. General part is focused in theoretical knowledge describing the anatomy of the vascular supply to the brain, epidemiology and neuroplasticity of the brain. In the second half of the general part is with greater detail processed the issue of ischemic cerebrovascular disease, its classification, clinical features and risk factors. The final section is dedicated to spasticity and rehabilitative care for the patient. A special section was created on the basis of the current practices since 20 January 2014 till 14 February 2014 at Vršovická zdravotní a.s.. Its content is a close up casuistics reports of patient after ischemic stroke with left-sided symptomatology. Results: The patient's condition improved during rehabilitation. Case study of physiotherapy treatment of the pacient with the diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis

Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of the pacient with the diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis. Objectives:The aim of this thesis is closer look at the issue of ankylosing spondylitis. The special part is focused on developing a case report of physical therapy care for the patient with a diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis Methods: The thesis is devided into two main sections. In the first section there is discussed the issue of the disease with options of care. The second, special, part is dedicated to description of care about specific patient, suffering this disease. The case report is from 4. 1. 2016 to 20. 1. 2016. Results: There was a significant reduction of pain, benefit to patient's condition and restore proper movement stereotypes. Title: Case study of a patient with a primary diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis Objectives: The aim is to become familiar with the general issues of ankylosing spondylitis and in a special section to develop a case report of physical therapy care for the patient with a diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis. Methods: Bachelor thesis includes a case study of a patient with a primary diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis. The work consists of a general part, which contains a brief description of the disease and possible complications of diagnostic and therapeutic methods. In the second part - special patient case report is processed, which was created during my professional experience in Rheumatology Institute in the period from 8.2.2013 to 14.1.2013. In addressing this diagnosis was not used any invasive techniques. Results: Performed after therapy there was a significant reduction in pain and restore proper movement stereotypes. Diplomová práce Vliv a možnosti fyzioterapie u pacientů po onkologicko-chirurgických zákrocích hrudníku - její specifika v předoperačním, akutním pooperačním a ambulantním období Abstract Lung tumor diseases are the most frequent tumors in the world. In men it is the most common tumoral disease in incidence, in women it occupies the third place. Bronchogenic carcinoma is the most frequent one, which includes tumors of trachea, bronchus and lung parenchyma. In most cases, the treatment requires surgical removal associated with hospitalization and subsequent rehabilitation. The theoretical part addresses oncologic surgical issues of lung tumors. A major part of the theory is dedicated to the options of physiotherapy and its specifics in particular parts of rehabilitation care. The practical part observes two groups of patiens and comparatively evaluates the effect of the therapy in particular parts by objective and subjective tests.

Title: Case report of physiotherapeutic care of patient with diagnosis ischemic stroke. Objectives: The main goal of this thesis is to elaborate a case study of patient after ischemic stroke, and to summarize theoretical knowledge regarding this diagnosis. Methods: The thesis is divided into general and special part. In the general part I focus on describing the theoretical basis of this diagnosis with the help of literature, especially on its etiopathogenesis, clinical symptomatics and rehabilitation cure of patients after this disease. The practical part includes case report of the patient with whom I had the opportunity to cooperate during a continuous practice in the regional hospital in Kladno in the term - 21.1. - 15.2. 2019. The case report include the input analysis of the patient, the suggestion of the therapy according to the input values, the application of the given therapies and the evaluation of the subsequent effect of the therapeutic action on the physical and mental condition of the patient. Results: The patient's health condition improved during the therapies. Effect of the therapy was an improvement of the patient's self-sufficiency and self-reliance in routine daily activities.
