The Attitudes of Older Adults Towards Living in Retirement in Relation to the Area of Residence

This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of plans, attitudes and opinions related to the retirement life of people in pre-retirement age. The role of preparing for life in retirement age is of increasing importance in locations with high proportion of people in pre-retirement age. These locations must be given the appropriate attention to minimize potential problem situations. In order to analyze the situation in a locality with a high proportion of older people, a quantitative survey was carried out at the Pokratice district of Litomerice. On the basis of the outputs of the survey, requirements and possible necessary changes in areas of development, transport services, accessibility of free time activities, health and social services are analyzed. In addition to the investigation itself, the work is based on other investigations carried out and other book and magazine sources, examples of good practice and strategical documents. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the current situation and propose necessary changes, which need to be implemented in order to minimize the problematic situations in connection with the retirement of a significant part of the inhabitants of the housing estates. Regional Planning in Czechoslovakia in the thirties and the forties

The master thesis deals with regional planning in Czechoslovakia. It approaches this urban discipline at its peak in the thirties and forties. The aim of the work is to introduce the origin and subsequent development of regional planning, particularly its theory, through texts and studies of urban planners. The introduction examines the theory and practice of regional planning in foreign countries and outlines which tools were used to import it to Czechoslovakia. Subsequently reflects how was this theory adopted by urban planners and institutions in the Czechoslovak environment and further developed. The thesis indicates a shift in the understanding of this theory in the pre-war period, during the occupation and after the war. This variation was related to political, economic and social changes and documents a close relationship between regional planning and a national economic plan. The work also examines how regional planning was believed to be organized and legally authorized and represents the first systematic attempts in methodology of regional plans' preparatory work. The Strategic Plan for community development Ludgeřovice in Moravian-Silesian Region

The aim of my thesis is to draw up a draft of Strategic Plan for community development Ludgeřovice, which will positively influence the future development of the municipality. To respect the required scope of thesis, the financial and monitoring part of the strategic plan had to be excluded, even though they normally form an integral part of the programming document. The first part draws up theoretical basis of strategic planning. The second part is focused on the socio-economic analysis and SWOT analysis. In the end of the thesis there is a strategic section, which is cornerstone for recommended goals and visions, that will lead to the future development of the municipality.
Comparison of the model of spatial planning in Sweden with the model used in the Czech Republic

Bachelor thesis Comparison of the model of spatial planning in Sweden with the model used in the Czech Republic describes the planning models in these two countries. In the case of Sweden, it is a model of spatial planning. The Czech planning model is divided into two different units -- regional and urban planning. The work is divided into four separated parts. The first part is devoted to the characteristics of Sweden in terms of socio-economic structure, which is the basis for the description of the Swedish planning model. Another part focuses on models of planning in both countries. The main part of this work consists of the comparison of the two models; the spatial / territorial and the regional planning. Furthermore, the project will discuss the determination of identical and different features and will also describe the advantages and disadvantages of the Swedish model of planning in relation to the Czech model.
