Remanent magnetism of electromagnets of DC contactors
Horký, Jakub ; Píška, Jakub (referee) ; Šimek, David (advisor)
The master thesis is focused on a remanent magnetism of electromagnets of DC contactors. In the first part of the thesis deals with the formation of a magnetic field in different kinds of materials, description of their magnetization and sorting. The next part is focused on the principle and history of an electromagnet. Negative effects and remanent induction of the contactor are described in the end of the theoretical part. The second part is a practical part. First, the reaction times were measured on a pair of DC contactors. Using the obtained data, an electronic circuit was designed to minimize the difference in switching times of the given DC contactors.

The final portion is dedicated to solutions that may be able to contribute to lower the number of accidents involving seniors of public transportation grounds.
Influence of the reaction time on neuronal response amplitude after the uncommon stimuli in fMRI images
Klimeš, Filip ; Bartoň, Marek (referee) ; Lamoš, Martin (advisor)
The goal of my bachelor’s thesis is to provide basic idea of the functional magnetic resonance imaging. The theoretical part deals with general principles, methods of measurement and analysis of fMRI data. The partial and also key objective is to design ways of modelling reaction time within the concept of general linear model. The goal of the practical part was to become familiar with SPM toolbox and then to implement designed ways on group data. The implementation was carried out at two levels: preprocessing and analysis of measured data. Preprocessed data were subjected to the first level analysis and second level analysis. Next aim is to evaluate the results of both analysis and thus different approaches to the modelling of reaction time and its influence on neuronal response amplitude after uncommon stimuli in functional magnetic resonance images.
Detection of the measurement error using the reaction time
Antoňová, Tereza ; Remr, Jiří (advisor) ; Hendl, Jan (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the detection of measurement error based on the question order using the reaction time. The major part of the theoretical chapter deals with the respondent as the source of the error. A respondent needs to proceed through a cognitive process to answer a question. Various influences affect the process and they might have an effect on the accuracy of the answer. The frequently mentioned effects are age, education and motivation of respondent. The absence of respondents' motivation might lead to a reduction of their effort to properly proceed with the cognitive process. In that case, the respondent does not dedicate the appropriate cognitive effort and time to a question in the questionnaire. That length of time, which the respondent takes to answer, is called the reaction time and it is suggested that it might be used as an indicator of the amount of cognitive effort. Based on previously executed studies, the author designed hypotheses about the change in length of the reaction time with a change of question position in a questionnaire, about the effect of respondents' characteristics on the reaction time and its shortening. The significant shortening of the reaction time on the question located closer to the end of the experimental questionnaire is used as an indicator...
Comparison of reaction times between combat sport athletes competing in matches and technical patterns
Novotný, Mikuláš ; Třebický, Vít (advisor) ; Pavelka, Radim (referee)
Title: Comparsion of reaction times between combat sport athletes competing in matches and technical patterns. Objectives: The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to compare the simple reaction times between two disciplines (sports fighting and technical patterns) in Taekwondo (WT, ITF) and Karate (JKA, ČSKe). Methods: To collect the data, we used a purpose-built questionnaire containing questions about basic demographic information, martial art and its discipline, length of experience, achieved technical level, and self-rated reaction speed. We measured reaction times using a purpose-built test through PsychoPy3 and the Pavlovia platform. The entire participation took place on-line and was mainly distributed through advertisements on social media and contacting associations of the studied sports. A total of 112 people took part in the study. Results: We found no statistically significant differences in mean reaction times between the sports fighting and technical patterns. Further, reaction times were statistically significantly negatively associated with the length of experience and age. Keywords: reaction time, visual signal, combat sports, on-line
Reaction time diagnostics of muay thai atletes
Skřivan, Tomáš ; Pavelka, Radim (advisor) ; Třebický, Vít (referee)
Tittle: Diagnosis of reaction level of fighters in Thai boxing Objectives: The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to diagnose the level of reaction ability of fighters in Thai boxing, who have been engaged in this combat sport for several years on a professional level. Partial aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out the connection of the diagnosed reaction time with the success of the fighters in the last three years. Methods: In the quantitative research where the Vienna test system- determination test (short form with adaptive input of stimuli) was used for obtaining results. In our case, we investigate selective reaction ability. We compare results of reaction ability with fighting success. The correlation between the reaction time and the success factor is calculated using the correlation coefficient. Results: Based on measurements, made by using the Vienna test system, we found out, that professional Thai boxing fighters, were diagnosed as having a response rate in the main variable as a better average compared to the standard area average of the standard scale. Minor variables came out as a weaker average to below average. We also found, that the most mistakes wrestlers make on acoustic stimuli. Lastly, we disproved the hypothesis that the wrestlers with a better wrestling balance will...
Comparison of reaction rate in children diagnosed with ADHD and common population of the same age
Kovařovic, Vojtěch ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Vomáčková, Helena (referee)
Title: Differences in reaction rate in children with ADHD and the general population of the same age. Problem definition: ADHD is a neuropsychological disorder occurring in part of the pediatric population (5-8%). The scientific public mentions the existence of the so-called hyperfocus, ie the ability to significantly concentrate in children diagnosed with ADHD, especially in the case of these children being interested in the task. Methodologically correctly compiled and performed testing of the reaction rate of these children could confirm or refute this assumption. Aims: The aim of the work is to find out whether and possibly what effect the diagnosis of ADHD in children has on the reaction rate. Hypotheses: H1: The reaction rate in individuals with ADHD will be on average the same or higher than in individuals of the same age of the healthy population. H2: The difference between the individual experiments will be greater in children with ADHD than in individuals of the same age of the healthy population. H3: The individual with fastest reaction ability with ADHD will have the same or better result as the individual with the fastest reaction of the same aged healthy population. Methods: Testing for the purposes of this diploma thesis took place in the ROSA center. 12 probands in the tested group...

Titel: Choice reaction time comparision of Muay Thai athletes Goals: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out whether oral tobacco has an influence on the reaction ability of a thaiboxing athlete (fighter) who uses it regularly and for a long time. Research compares selective responses to acoustic and visual stimuli among individuals who take oral tobacco while they are taking it and when they are without nicotine. Method: Its method of quantity reseach, where to get the results, we used method of testing by Vienna test, in which we have choosen determination test. The non- parametric paired Wilcoxon's rank test was used for data processing. Results: Based on the Vienna test system and further processed results by statistical method we have found out, that the results of thaiboxing athletes are not statistically significant and therefore we cannot say whether oral tobacco acts as a sedative or stimulant on thaiboxing athlete (fighter). Key words: Vienna test system, oral tobacco, Muay thai, determination test, reaction time, choice reaction
