Manufacturing of Components Using Rapid Prototyping
Peňáz, Jan ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with solution of manufacturing prototype using three technologies. Two of them are additive technologies using principles of Laminated object manufacturing and Fused deposition modelling. The third technology was milling. Model of reversible turbine was used as a base for manufacturing. CAD system SolidWorks was used for the model creation, where output formats were SLDPRT and STL. For error check of STL data software MiniMagics was used. For preparation of 3D printing data softwares SD View and Catalyst EX were used. CAM system SolidCAM was used for creation of machining strategy. Devices used for manufacturing of prototypes were 3D printer Solido SD 300 Pro, 3D printer Stratasys uPrint and 5axis mill Hermle C20U. Print on 3D printer Stratasys uPrint the most advantageous technology for manufacturing one prototype.
Silicone molds and their use
Rudolf, Jiří ; Zouhar, Jan (referee) ; Jaroš, Aleš (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is focused on the design and production of a headphone holder. Thesis is divided into theorethical and practical part. The theoretical part is described Rapid Prototyping technology, precision casting with use of silicone molds and precision investment casting. The practical part is focused on the design of a headphone holder in CAD system Autodesk Inventor and following production via two different methods. The first way is 3D printing by Fused Deposition Modeling method and the second way is casting wax and plastic models using a silicone rubber mold. Conclusion of this thesis contains technical-economic evaluation and comparison of both manufacturing methods.
Production of Children's Stool for Dental Office Using Fused Deposition Modeling Method
Kyseľová, Barbora ; Zouhar, Jan (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
Bachelor thesis focus on the description of modelling of the children´s stool in the shape of human teeth with regarding use to dental office. Firstly, the thesis gets closer to creating a physical model. It outlines the use of 3D handy scanner and then involving digitizing the necessary adaptation data obtained after scanning premises. Production of the stool will be provided by uPrint 3D printer by using methods Fused Deposition Modeling. It also justifies the benefits achieved by using these methods and technologies in the present. The thesis will be completed by appraising of constructer´s workload to 3D scanner and 3D printer.
Production of planetary gear set model on 3D FDM printer
Magdon, Jan ; Prokeš, Tomáš (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
This Bachelor's Thesis is looking into designing of a planetary gearbox then subsequent production with using the Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) technology. The first part describes the production process using additive technologies, focusing mainly on FDM technology with properties of materials used in this method, then the theory of planetary gears with their practical use. The second part is devoted to production of model planetary gearbox, which is designed with regard to possibilities of FDM printer. Single parts were designed in 3D programme Autodesk Inventor Professional 2016. Finally the product is evaluated technically and economically.
Assembling and Functional Verification of a Home 3D Printer
Tesař, Jaroslav ; Zouhar, Jan (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
This thesis was created as a bachelor project in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at VUT in Brno. In the theoretical part, the additive technology Rapid Prototyping is introduced together with the most common methods, followed by the assessment of advantages and disadvantages of the new technology and its possible uses in various fields of human activity. In the experimental part of the diploma thesis was assembled and the printing parameters were set. Consequently the comparison models were printed on the 3D home printer and on professional printer Dimension uPrint. The accuracy of the printers is compared. The thesis concludes with the analysis of technical and economical parameters.
A single-speed gearbox made by 3D printing
Hykolli, Denis ; Jaroš, Aleš (referee) ; Fiala, Zdeněk (advisor)
The aim of these theses was the creation of a single-stage gearbox by additive technology FDM / FFF. By chosen values was made dimension calculation for gears. The 3D model of the gearbox was designed in 3D software Autodesk Inventor. Single parts were produced on an FDM 3D printer by Prusa Research. Manufacturing programs for parts were prepared in PrusaSlicer. These programs were used for producing individuals parts on 3D Printer. Transparent material and printing parameters for the top of the gearbox were chosen by visual test and test of light intensity. The total cost of model production is calculated in the work. The result of these is a completely working model of a single-stage gearbox with a transparent top of the gearbox.
Actual trends in manufacture of permanent patterns made of progressive materials
Štokman, Michal ; Cupák, Petr (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
Rapid Prototyping is an important part of modern foundry industry. The aim of this thesis is to create an overview of different methods for making permanent RP models and sand molds, as applied to rapid prototyping.
Dimensional Analysis of a Prototype Part Produced by Soft-tooling
Matuška, Jan ; Zouhar, Jan (referee) ; Slaný, Martin (advisor)
This thesis aims to survey contemporary methods of Rapid Prototyping technology, their principle, positives and negatives. Further use of these and other methods for production of forms for small series. The importance of these branches is growing up and it seems, that this trend is going to continue. The practical part of this thesis follows up with manufacturing of Soft Tooling cast and its dimensional analysis.
