Contemporary news coverage of Radio Impuls and Radiožurnál (Comparative study)

This bachelor thesis compares news coverage of two of the most significant radio stations in the Czech Republic. The first one is Radiožurnál, the main radio station of public radio Czech radio. Radiožurnál combines spoken word and music. The second one is Rádio Impuls, the most listened radio station in the Czech Republic. Rádio Impuls combines spoken word and music as well. In the first part of the thesis, the author describes the development of both stations in the Czech radio market, their financial options and their current news coverage from theoretic point of view. The author also made interviews with editors in chief of both stations. The second, practical part is the analysis of news coverage from three different angles - thematic, genre and language during one week in September 2015 and one week in January 2016. The main analysis is the thematic one and comparison of news coverage in the same topics. A comparative study of contemporary morning broadcast Radiozurnal and Radio Impuls

The master thesis called "A comparative study of contemporary morning broadcast Radiozurnal and Radio Impuls" presents broadcasting comparation of this two radio stations. Both of them are the most listened stations in the Czech Republic, they are also the biggest competitors. Radiozurnal is Czech radio's public station and Radio Impuls is commercial station, therefore, thesis is based on the assumption that their program is different. The main part of this master thesis is content analysis, which was made between two weeks in the end of January and in the beginning of February 2019. The morning broadcast of both stations was analyzed on the basis of three reasearch questions, in terms of thematic focus, local focus and genre focus. The analysis includes a comparasion of language style. The research results are compared and shown in charts and graphs. Based on literature, the master thesis also defines specific features of radio broacasting and its genre forms. The specific methodology of morning broadcasting of both station is based on interviews with the editors.
The Differences between Public and Commercial Radio Broadcasting (exemplified by Radiožurnál and Rádio Impuls)

Diploma thesis The Differences between Public and Commercial Radio Broadcasting (exemplified by Radiožurnál and Rádio Impuls) deals with differences in broadcasting of public radio station Radiožurnál and commercial radio station Rádio Impuls. The selection of stations was not random. Radiožurnál stays according to Radioprojekt, official radio audience research realized by companies MEDIAN and STEM/MARK, the longterm most listened radio station of Czech Radio and belong to most listened radio station countrywide. Rádio Impuls is since the begining of this research most listened radio station countrywide. Diploma thesis does not examine general differences in radio broadcasting between these two radio stations which are valid for another radio stations of Czech Radio and for other commercial radio stations. Instead of this it deals with specific differences in their radio broadcasting. After introductory inclusion of examined radio stations to media system in the Czech Republic, description of their origin and current format, other chapters focus on individual differences. Attention is dedicated to programs, news, moderators' inputs and two publicistic programs - Ranní interview and Tři Impulsy na tělo. Last chapter evaluates audio, lexical, morphological and syntactical level of moderators'speeches.

A comparative study of contemporary radio news Radio Impuls and Radiožurnál

The main target of this study is to compare content of the news in two radio stations in the Czech Republic. Those include commercial Radio Impuls and public radio Radiozurnal. Introduction is devoted to theoretical foundations of radio news in our territory. In this part is the history of radio news, definition of radio news, its principles and forms, language style and genres of news program. Based on interviews with the editors of these two radio stations there is characteristic of their news program. The most important part of this work is content analysis. The results of research comparing the orientation and preferences of these radio stations - thematic and local focus and genre forms. The data are shown in each chart.

Brand building of Ráááádio Impuls on the Czech market

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe the process of building the brand Ráááádio Impuls from 2004 up to the present. The principles of marketing communication and brand building are defined in the theoretical part of this work. Further on, in addition to the description of the radio market in the Czech Republic and the position of Radio Impuls in it, I analysed in detail the building of the brand Ráááádio Impuls, its values, vision and mission as well as its marketing communication by which the brand is targetly and continuously being built. Eventually I identified the organizational structure of the radio and its changes, which preceded the creation of a new brand.
