Multi-body model of a motorcycle suspension
Kotas, Jakub ; Lošák, Petr (referee) ; Březina, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the rear wheel suspension of a motorcycle. Theoretical basics of the suspension design and terms, essential for the understaning of the work, are breifly explained. A review of contemporary used spring, shock-absorber and suspension system types is presented.
Front Axle of a High-performance Sports Car
Control of Low Voltage Contactor by calculation and measurement
Veselý, Matěj ; Šimek, David (referee) ; Bušov, Bohuslav (advisor)
The bachelor project deals with controlling mean parametres of low voltage contactor by calculation and measurement. Deals more specifically with calculation of the applied electrodynamic forces on the contactor's movable contact, the determination of the minimum compressive force on the contactor's movable contact and the design of the contactor trip system. It also deals with calculation of heating of the current-carrying path on contactor and its following check by measuring.
Physical Simulation of a Vehicle
Urbanovský, Jiří ; Pečiva, Jan (referee) ; Navrátil, Jan (advisor)
The work deals with issues from physical simulations and computer graphics. The goal of this thesis is to describe the key stones of simulation of a vehicle in real-time. It outlines physical laws describing movement and rotation of rigid bodies and springs. Physics is handled by the Open Dynamics Engine library, graphics is handled by the OpenGL library. The focus was on providing correct functionality of suspension, real behaviour of the underlay and the fluency of the simulation.
Contactless torque sensor
Křemen, Jan ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis aims to develop the conceptual and experimental study of the assembly function for non-contact measurement of torque basic project design and the monitoring of key components of the mechanical dimensions of the prototype device BMK-1. The object of this work is only a part of the mechanical equipment. Inspections will be conducted through simple calculations of elasticity strength.
Adjustable dampers of road vehicles
Šplíchal, Bohuslav ; Hejtmánek, Petr (referee) ; Vančura, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the distribution and description of the activities of conventional and adjustable shock absorbers of road vehicles. It describes the dynamic of the vehicle in the vertical oscillation and the effect of damping and springs to vehicle behavior. It also describes and classifies individual suspension systems that use adjustable shock absorbers.
Influence of changed shape and dimensions of a helical spring on its compression characteristic
Melichar, Marek ; Majer, Zdeněk (referee) ; Burša, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with a change of a shape of a spring in order to facilitate its assembly in a gas boiler controller assembly. The introductory part deals with familiarization with the given issue. Then, based on the algorithm created in the bachelor thesis "Assessment of characteristic of a helical conus-shaped spring under compression" of Libor Loveček, the calculation program is adapted for calculating the existing conical spring and is further modified for other spring shapes. Accuracy of the created algorithms is verified by comparing the results with commercial computing programs. Based on the calculations, new shapes are designed, manufactured and experimentally tested. At the end of the thesis the possibility of usage of created alternative shapes is evaluated.
Vehicles pneumatic suspension systems
Černuško, Lukáš ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Suchý, Jan (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis contains division of dampers for motor vehicles and describes some main types. There is structure explanation of pneumatic suspension, individual parts description and their working in other section. Further there are derived equations for calculation of fundamental properties with simplified assumptions. Equations figure out spring and damping characteristics. Main goal is to determine properties which increase the driving comfort.
Design of dual-chamber pneumatic spring
Pantůček, Michal ; Roupec, Jakub (referee) ; Macháček, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis is engaged in the design of a pneumatic spring which will be useful for a design of a strut intended for cosmic applications. The design will be supported with an analytic calculation which to be subsequently verified by means of experiments, however, those reach beyond the scope of this thesis. The spring will be a part of a strut with adjustable shock damping. For this reason it is desirable for the spring to have the lowest passive resistances occurring mainly during sealing mutually moving parts. For the spring they are the piston, the piston rod and the cylinder. On the theoretical level the thesis should explore the possibility of replacing conventional sealings by unconventional ones and possibly determine the influence upon dynamical behaviour of the spring where the piston would not be sealed at all.
Chassis of racing motorcycles
Kudr, Jan ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
Those theses describe complex of motorbike chassis and components from racing sector. Here is explained geometry of motorbike chassis and impact to riding properties. Geometry of motorbike chassis and driving style are closely linked with adjusting of damping and springing. In the end, depending on chassis adjustment tires can show us how good or how bad is adjusted the chassis.
