Breeding and economic analysis of cattle breeding on a selected farm
DÁŇOVÁ, Anna
The main goal of this thesis is the breeding and economic evaluation of a company with cattle breeding. The evaluation was done in the collective farm Budíškovice in 2018 - 2020. All bred cattle categories were evaluated. The data were obtained from accounting and zootechnical internal records. Economic indicators were compared with the results of a statistical survey of the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Information (ÚZEI). Breeding indicators were compared with the average population of individual cattle categories in the Czech Republic.
Optimalizace výživy a krmení v chovu dojeného skotu
ŠENKYPL, Petr
This master thesis focuses on factors affecting the quality of the diet in dairy cows and its relation with milk production. On the analysed farm breeding Holstein cattle, the feed rations are evaluated in terms of diet composition and optimal supply of energy and nutrients for milk production. The diet composition during the followed period and its optimisation, diet analyses and metabolic tests of the cattle are evaluated in this work.
Vliv věku při prvním otelení na užitkovost a dlouhověkost dojnic
DRÁB, Zdeněk
The main significance of the diploma thesis was to evaluate in a clear form the influence of the level of heifer rearing and age at the first calving on the performance and longevity of dairy cows of Czech spotted cattle in the herd of Agro Kunčina a.s. Data of 390 dairy cows for the last five years were used. The data obtained were sorted according to key indicators, namely age at first calving, age at weaning, performance at first lactation, lifetime performance, milk content, order of lactation and causes of weaning. The available statistical methods were used to evaluate the effect of age at first calving on performance, longevity, causes of exclusion and content of milk components..
Water footprint of the cow milk for two types of production systems in the Liberec Region
Hojcsková, Daniela ; Hák, Tomáš (advisor) ; Třebický, Viktor (referee)
The water footprint is a multidimensional indicator which was created to quantify the total volume of freshwater used for various purposes. With the water footprint it is possible to determine the volume and type of water used directly and indirectly during the production in a given place and time. The data related to the water footprints of products are utilized in the evaluation of the international trade with goods, too (a concept of virtual water used for the analysis of water stress export out of the country which imports water-intensive products). The greatest amount of water is used globally in the agriculture, so the agricultural products are the ones with the highest water footprints. The focus of concern is the water footprint of an agriculture production and the aim of this work is to bring the first results regarding the water footprint of the cow milk in the Czech Republic and also to evaluate a methodology of its calculation. Two dairy farms dealing with a market production of milk from the Liberec region were chosen for the research. The farm Rváčov is oriented to an intensive milk production and on the other hand the farm Bzí is a system with mixed elements of extensive and intensive characters of the dairy production. For the comparison of the milk production effectiveness we have...
Vliv intenzity odchovu jalovic na jejich užitkovost na první laktaci
Karbanová, Zdeňka
From April 2012 to August 2016, 78 heifers (Holstein and Czech Fleckvieh) were observed with the aim to assess 1) the influence of the intensity of breeding heifers and the influence of the season of birth on the yield during first lactation, 2) selected reproduction indicators. The intensity of breeding has been evaluated through the liveweight gain of heifers weighing 117 kg, 186 kg, 309 kg and 483 kg (their overall average liveweight was 301 kg). There was no evidence of any negative impact of relatively high daily liveweight gains (reaching to 1 kg) neither on milk yield nor on selected reproduction indicators. On the contrary, among the observed first calvers, excellent yield has been achieved, reaching to 6023 kg of milk for 1 piece of cattle during the lactation period. The yield in the first 100 days reached 2282 kg, while the average lactation period was 278 days. Excellent levels of reproduction parameters were gained insemination interval of 56 days, service of period 73 days and interim 357 days. A positive influence of higher intensity of growth on the examined production as well as reproduction parameters has been detected, especially at the early age of heifers (117 and 186 kg). The season of birth clearly impacted only the liveweight at birth reaching its top in Autumn (38 kg) and its low in Spring (33 kg). The season of birth did not influence the remaining examined parameters of milk yield and reproduction.
Chovatelská a ekonomická analýza chovu dojeného skotu ve vybraném zemědělském podniku
BUŘIČOVÁ, Hana
The aim of this work was to analyze breeding and economical indicators of cattle breed in Selekta Pacov ltd. and on a private farm of Mr. Lubomir Straka in years 2014-2015. The results show, that in both cases, these plants are very modern and continuously innovated with high standard of milk performance, good health state of all milk cows, high-quality nutrition and appropriate farm management. Reproduction indicators are acceptable in both cases and correspond with the high milk performance. Economic result corresponds with the excellent level of milk cows breeding; both companies show profit during whole period of observation. Calf breeding is at high level on both farms as well. The farm of Mr. Straka shows the only problem; due to shortage of workforce, the farm has relatively high calf loss. In the heifer category, the results in breeding economy and breeding indicators are at high level. These animals are fully grown and developed with great body proportions and optimal body condition; this is the precondition of high milk performance. Bull fattening is realized in Selekta ltd. only; Mr. Lubomir Straka doesn´t fatten the bulls, but he sells them as calves already. For Selekta ltd., this commodity is an unprofitable branch. The reasons are low growth during fattening and high feed costs. If these problems are not removed, it will be better to cancel this category.

Costing in selected sectors of agricultural company and intra-company prices determination
Kolumpek, Daniel ; Řezbová, Helena (advisor) ; Jana, Jana (referee)
The subject of this thesis is the cost in selected sectors of an agricultural company called Prima a.s. for the year 2013 and determination of the process of creating transfer prices. The literature search characterizes the costs along with its breakdown. In connection with these the calculation system is characterized, along with methods of calculation. The work is also focused on calculation formulas. Specifically, it introduces a generic calculation formula and the calculation formula for crop and livestock production. These issues are related to the formation of the transfer pricing described in the literature search. The framework of selected livestock sector characterizes the problems of breeding cattle in the Czech Republic, its economy and its related method of monetizing milk. The production of milk and its effectiveness relates to the amount of fed silage corn. Silage corn is one of the main entrances in the search of feed described. The main part characterizes Prima a.s. as a company. It describes the basic business venture together with production factors. Further work to the plant and animal production enterprise. The crop production work includes a calculation of the cost of corn and consequently its manufacturing cost compared with the valuation for livestock production. Within the livestock production, the work deals with the characteristics of cattle. This part of my Dissertation work includes the main subject, the thesis and of milk production and its costs. Costing is compiled according to the methodology of the annual cattle in the country. Synoptic table is compiled with the main indicators of cost and these are then characterized in detail. Work in connection with this issue more deeply engages in the dissolution of indirect costs in this sector. Subsequently evaluated economics of milk production and cattle farming as a whole. Based on the set out analysis conclusions regarding the cost of milk production and the creation of transfer prices and recommendations are designed to minimize the costs for this sector in the agriculture company.
Effect of internal factors on milk production and quality
Šťásek, Jan ; Toušová, Renata (advisor) ; Jan, Jan (referee)
The aim of this thesis was to monitor and evaluate the impact of internal factors on the production and quality of milk in a herd of montbeliarde cattle. The hypothesis was that worse results of reproduction adversely affect milk production. Data collection took place on a farm Osičky agricultural company Agrodružstvo Lhota pod Libčany for the period from 1.1.2010 to 31.12.2015. The file was obtained 1 849 standard lactations completed in this period. The source of data for evaluation of milk production, milk quality and reproductive performance of cows were cards, program Farmsoft from Farmtec used to herd management and output data from the inspections carried out by the utility Chovservis Inc. residing in Hradec Kralove. A statistically highly significant difference (P<0,01) between the first and all other amounts lactation in milk, fat and protein kg per lactation and fat in % and between 1st and 5th and more lactations in % protein. Was a positive effect of length of service period and the length of the intervening period the quantity of milk, fat and protein in kg per lactation at significance level P<0,001 and the negative influence of the length meantime to protein content in % (P<0,001). He was also found at least P<0,001 positive effect on lactation length produced kilograms of milk, fat and protein. Fat and protein also positively influenced the amount of milked milk (P<0,001). It was statistically insignificant effect on the incidence of mastitis production and milk quality (P>0,05), based on correlations may have an adverse effect on the percentage of fat and protein at a higher incidence of mastitis expected. The influence of the proportion of blood Montbeliarde breed was statistically proven only on the amount of milk and protein in kg per lactation, but still pure-bred animals came out the best in all of the indicators except for milk production fat percentage. From comparison of the calving showed that his herd performance increases every year, the quality of milk as the fat content in % but conversely decreases. For the month of calving has been shown to influence the percentage of fat and protein at a significance level of P<0,001, the quantity of milked milk (P<0,01) and the amount of produced protein in kg per lactation (P<0,05). The hypothesis that impaired reproduction results negatively affecting milk production has not been confirmed. It was found to influence reproduction indicators on production and quality of milk, but this influence in a positive direction. The negative effect was demonstrated only for the length of the interim influence on protein content in %. Overall, the level of flock assessed as very good, but there are many indicators of production and reproduction that is necessary with respect to the potential of improving the breed.
