Serbian minority in Croatia: Development of the Legal Status During the Integration to the European Union, 2000-2011

This bachelor thesis concerns with the development of the legal status of the Serbian minority in Croatia during the period of the integration of Croatia to the European union in years 2000- 2011. This thesis uses the historical approach to research the attitude of Croatian governments towards Serbs. The research of this attitude is based on enacted laws connected to national minorities, the implementation of guaranteed rights and the willingness of ruling politicians to maintain interests of the Serbian minority. These mentioned points belong to domestic political affairs, however the position of the national minorities was significantly affected by the EU because of an ambition of every single government to join the union. Since the year 2000 the legal position of Serbs has improved in comparison to 90's when anti-Serbian mood, which was fostered by the governing Croatian democratic community, was spread through whole Croatian society. Significant part of the Serbian issue represents property rights of refugees who left the country during a war in 90's. The normalization of Serbian position formally ended in 2011 when Croatia fulfilled all EU conditions liked to the protection of national minorities and finished accession talks. Court Decisions Making on Upbringing on Minors in Civil Procedure

The rigorous thesis deals with the judicial treatment of the administration of parental responsibility, from the point of view of entrusting of minors into care after brake-up of the parents of the minor, whether it is an unmarried or divorcing couple. The first part of the work summarizes briefly the historical development of this issue, the second and third parts describes the current legislation in detail, that has included the Family law back in the Civil Code and that has specified the non-contentious suit by separate procedural laws. The conclusion contains a brief summary and recommendations.

In the practical part the theoretical knowledge is applied to specific example of merger and acquisiton. In this part is evaluated whether companies acted according to the law.

Následně jsou představeny vybrané historické (Československo, Rakousko) i současné (Austrálie, Belgie, Švýcarsko, Nizozemsko, Lucembursko, Lichtenštejnsko) příklady právní úpravy povinného hlasování.

The ratio between verbal and nominal components of communication in administrative/legal texts in Spanish and Czech: legislative texts

The legal and administrative texts have a range of common features. The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to prove one of them, namely the tendency to use nominal expression, and at the same time to determine the ratio between the nominal and verbal components. The work is divided into two parts; the theoretical and the practical. In the first part the author focuses on the theoretical definition of the syntax groups, especially on the nominal and verbal components, and also shows signs of a tendency to nominal expression, which is then proved in the texts in the second part. They are examined separately; Czech and Spanish texts and texts of an administrative nature are represented, as well as those of a legal nature. Then there is a comparison of both types of Spanish texts, and also the differences between Spanish and Czech texts have been found out.

Gerund and its Czech Equivalents in Texts of European Union Law.

Abstract The graduation theses named "Gerund and its Czech Equivalents in Texts of European Union Law" examine the ways of gerund application in Spanish expert language focusing particularly on the gerund structures interpretation. The theses are composed of two main parts: the theoretical part and the practical part. In its theoretical part, the author targets first the use of gerund in general. Above all, she specifies an overview of gerund´s main roles in Spanish sentences there, and recites various possibilities how to translate this verbal form to the Czech language. The second and important chapter of the theoretical part is called "Use of gerund in Spanish legal language". It studies gerunds found out in texts from the sphere of the expert (administrative-legal) language only. As the main source of information used for the practical studies was considered the internet portal EUR-Lex where we found out expressions containing Spanish gerunds together with their Czech equivalents used there. They were then classified based on the way of their interpretation. We examined two areas of legal experts text marked "All treaties" and "Judgements of Court of Justice". The theses are concluded by comparison of equivalents taken from two above mention ranges of texts as well as comparing results of EUR-Lex survey with the theoretical part of theses where we used the classification of gerund translation according authors Veselá Jana, Reska Jaroslav and Jašek David (2004).
