Courier Service in Dvůr Králové n. L. in the Early Modern Period

This diploma thesis focuses on the issue of oral and written communication through the groups of couriers, who mediated between smaller royal dowry town Dvůr Králové nad Labem and its own villages as well as another distant locations situated in another dominion. Diploma thesis applies to region called Podkrkonoší in the advanced Early Modern Period, describes and analyses some of the preserved archival primary sources of knowledge dedicated to the courier services in Dvůr Králové nad Labem. It mentions the enviroment in which the gateke- epers and other couriers fulfilled their services. This thesis attempts to define the relationship between the distance and courier's income in Dvůr Králové nad Labem's domain and outside of it. In the context of diverse contents of oral and written messages the thesis mentions sever- al other topics, for example the actual filling work of corvée (or statute labour), showing by gatekeepers the way to hussar-soldier at surveying, transport of beggars and vagabonds and even the beginning of postal services in this area. Working method is based on detailed archival probe into rarely preserved municipal bookkeeping, especially into records of gate- keeper's courier services and records of other settled couriers both from the year 1740 and 1768. Liberalization of the market versus network industry in state hands for example of postal service market and the Czech Post, state enterprise

Bachelor thesis is dealing with the liberalization of the postal service market in the Czech Republic. Thesis analyzes the selected issue in the practical part on the example of the Czech Post, state enterprise. It clarifies the areas and terms closely linked with the issue. Thesis also defines monopoly features and specifies the network industry. It deals with the privatization process, defines the essential features of the state-owned enterprise and other main business corporations. Text explains the theory of public choice and its related problems. It also focuses on postal license which commits to provide universal service. The aim of the thesis is to create a comprehensive overview of past and current state of the postal market. Another objective is to analyze Czech Post enterprise particularly its economic activity and legal form. It turns out that the Czech Post is not now as lossy as it appears in public. We can predict decreasing trend in the evolution of revenues in the future with the help of related graph. Thesis objectives are met by composing the general development of the legislative and institutional changes. We can compare the legal forms of institutions and the extent of branch networks in each country with the help of a comparative analysis of European postal institutions. The Czech Republic does well - it is below the average. This allows to set conclusions and recommendations for our market. We mainly used issues of Post Partner project to examine the future development of the Czech Post.

The valuation of company Česká pošta, s.p.

The aim of the diploma thesis is to determine the market value of the company Česká pošta, s.p. as at 31.12.2010 assuming it maintains its obligation to provide existing services. The structure of the thesis has a form of an expert opinion and is divided into five main chapters. It starts with an overview which is followed by the strategic and financial analysis, and analysis and prediction of generators of value. Based on this information the complete financial plan for the years 2011 -2017 has been set up. The value of the company is determined by two methods: DCF Entity and market comparison.

The Quality of Service of the Czech Post and Possibilities of Its Improving.

This bachelor's thesis focuses on a quality of postal services. The aim is to assess the quality of services provided by the public corporation Czech Post and its particular branch and propose possibilities of quality improvement. The introduction deals with an explanation of important terms like service and quality, it is followed by a description of approaches to quality management and information on postal services sector in the Czech Republic. After that, the Czech Post and its services are introduced. A questionnaire survey among Czech Post costumers, flow chart and Ishikawa diagram are used to reach the aim of the paper. In the final section, some possibilities of improvement are proposed to enhance the quality of the corporation's service.

Analysis of the VAT on postal services in the European context

This bachelor thesis deals with the VAT regime for postal services in the European Union. It describes the European Union's approach to this issue, its history and describes the current VAT regime in the postal services in the Czech Republic. The thesis defines the major problem areas of the current VAT regime in the postal service and there are summarized the main approaches to the taxation of postal services in the future.
