The topic of the diploma thesis is cost optimization in the company. The concept of optimization hides the effort to modify costs in order to achieve the best economic result of the company. In order to properly analyze and subsequently design the necessary measures, it is necessary to obtain a theoretical knowledge of the costs. The first part of the thesis contains theoretical knowledge. The second part deals with cost analysis and concrete areas that are most suitable for potential savings. The last part contains suggestions that should lead to savings.

The aim of the thesis "Payment systems and protocols - analysis, simulation, verification" is overview of payment systems in the Czech Republic, in EU, in USA and in Japan. The first part is concentrated on legislation, the second is dedicated to payment systems, the third is dedicated to payment protocols, their characteristics, used technology and security elements. Comparison of particular payment systems and of particular payment protocols is part of this work too. Thesis is also concentrated on security elements.

Firstly, it is necessary to gain theoretical knowledge about field of costs, then it is possible to analyze costs and design suitable solution for a company. The first chapter contains theoretical findings. Second chapter analyses costs and its task is to lay out that fields, which are problematic or hides huge savings potential. The third chapter contains designed procedures which, as a result, should lead to savings in particular fields.

Financial Arbitrator The legislative introduction of the institute of Financial Arbitrator as the relevant authority for settling out-of-court disputes into Czech law is a relatively new phenomenon, and is related to the interests of consumer protection within the European Union. In particular, the interests of the European Union in this area are to reinforce consumer confidence in the financial market. Given the fact that the majority of consumer disputes are so-called petty disputes, and resolving these disputes before the national courts is too lengthy and costly for consumers, the European Union has placed a duty upon its Member States to introduce the option for consumers, in case of any possible disputes, to be able to turn to the out-of-court dispute settlement authority for assistance in selected areas of the financial market. Any proceedings heard before such authority are free-of-charge and less formalized, thus enabling consumers greater accessibility in protecting their rights against institutions operating in the financial market. This diploma thesis deals with the issue of legal regulation of cashless payment transactions in the Czech Republic, as well as on European and international level. Furthermore, it focuses on the legal regime of payment accounts in the light of the amended Payment System Act No. 284/2009 Coll. that was adopted as a transposition of the Directive 2014/92/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on the comparability of fees related to payment accounts, payment account switching and access to payment accounts with basic features. The aim of this thesis is to analyze and describe the current legal regime, including its critical evaluation and to outline the possible future development in the regulation of cashless payment transactions. 1 The legal aspects of currency and payment system Resume: The monetary law as a part of the financial law is concentrating mainly on institutions of currency, its emissions, payment systems and its security. Currency is a concrete monetary system in a concrete state, which is settled by legal acts of this state. The state authority specifies not only the nominal value of banknotes and coins, but also rules of their reproduction, rules of the exchange of damages banknotes for new ones, rules of their acceptance as a payment instruments, rules o payment systems etc. The monetary system in Czech Republic is compounded of banknotes in denomination of 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000, 2000, 5000 and coins in denomination of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50. The currency named Czech koruna and it is divided into 100 hellers. The sole institution, which has a legal right to emit banknotes and coins, is the Czech National Bank by the Act no. 6/1993 Co. The CNB through its ordinances specifies the emission of a concrete banknote or coin, its size, design, weight... and beginning of validity (for example the Ordinance CNB no. 78/2009 Co. or Ordinance CNB no. 111/1993 Co.). Legal Regulation of Payment Services

The aim of this thesis is to clearly describe all payment services which can be found in current Act on Payments of 2009 and also new payment services under new Act on Payments. New Act on Payments will come into effect on 13 January 2018. The reason for its adoption was the need of transposition of the revised Payment Services Directive known as PSD II. This directive brings significant number of changes into the area of the regulation of payments. Moreover, this thesis devotes to introduction and analysis of all subject authorized to provide payment services in the Czech Republic. The development of the regulation of payments in the Czech Republic is briefly described in the first part of the thesis. Regarding the extensiveness of this topic, it is only outlined which acts have regulated payments in the Czech Republic. The second part of the thesis deals with positive and negative definition of payment services. When describing a single payment service, the difficult situations which can occur due to this payment service are mentioned. Cizojazyčné resumé The thesis is dedicated to the matter of a bank account. The bank account is considered to be a financial product that serves for depositing of temporarilly free financial funds and primarily for realizing cashless payment system. The aim of this thesis is to provide an analysis of current applicable and effective legislation considering the bank account in Civil Code, where newly contained the bank account legislation as a result of recodification of private law. In some sections of the thesis the analysis of the legislation is accomplished in the context of the antecedent legislation in former Commercial Code. The thesis is divided into seven chapters. The first chapter is dedicated to analyse the basis of the bank account from the point of view of legal doctrine. The second chapter provides fundamental legal charakteristic of bank account contract. This chapter describes the bank account contract as banking contract and focuses on the bank account contract from the point of view of consumer law.
