Medicinal products containing paracetamol and ibuprofen belong to this category among others. There were 2368 vendors of SMP in 2017 in the Czech Republic. Objectives: The main purpose of this thesis was to analyse time and local availability, financial affordability of SMP and to analyse safety of selling SMP outside pharmacies. Methods: The research was performed between 12th March 2018 and 16th March 2018 in regions: Chrudim, Hradec Kralove, Pardubice and Rychnov nad Kneznou. 50 vendors of SMP were selected from the database of State Institute for Drug Control regarding proportional representation on the market in the Czech Republic. Subject of research was a 24-year-old male demanding SMP to treat acute toothache. Obtained data were filled in a prepared form. Results were processed by means of descriptive statistics. The aim of this paper was to analyse professional individual consultations in community pharmacy in period of 2009-2019. Methodology: Professional individual consultations were provided in the form of a discreet dialogue between a pharmacist and patient in a consulting room of a basic pharmacy with two dispensing places. Pharmacy is located in a municipality of up to 5000 inhabitants, where no other pharmacy is available. The content of every consultation was recorded into a consultation form, while its extent corresponded with the focus of the given consultation. Patient's medical history was obtained during the consultation: demographic data, personal history data, lifestyle, use of medicines and food supplements including dosage information. A pharmacist is also very often the last link in the chain of healthcare professionals involved in the treatment of a patient and thus has a unique opportunity to detect any potential errors or risk of a given therapy. Regarding the self- medication, the pharmacist is often the only person, with whom the patient consults his therapy. Objective: The aim of this thesis is to analyse dispensing activities provided by pharmacies in Hradec Kralove. Methodology: Analysis of a dispensing activity of a prescription-only drug and over-the- counter product. The list of pharmacies was identified through the SÚKL database. The aim of this thesis was to summary information about the drug interactions of drugs used in thyroid diseases (levothyroxine, propylthiouracil, thiamazole) and to formulate articles describing the management of interactions in a clinical practice including information for the dispensation of these drugs. Therefore it is very important to focus on its prevention and early diagnostics before the stage of health complications shows up. Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to realize and evaluate consulting activities in pharmacy focused on patients who have high risks of arterial hypertension or have been already diagnosed with it. Methodology: Data were collected in a public pharmacy in Prague from the end of April 2013 until the beginning of April 2014. Objectives: The aim of the thesis was to describe and analyse conditions of blood pressure measurement in a sample of Czech pharmacies. Methods: Data were collected via questionnaire survey in 2012 and 2013 in three districts. The survey was conducted using two questionnaires, which were filled at pharmacies with possible help of trained interviewer. The first questionnaire was completed by the authorized employee representative of the pharmacy and included questions characterizing the pharmacy. Although their identification and documentation received a considerable attention, they remain unrecognized for many patients. Objectives: The goal of the thesis was to analyze serious drug interactions between cardiovascular drugs, to describe their management in clinical practice, which is useful during dispensation, and to evaluate occurrence of these drug interaction in a community pharmacy. Methodology: The information was gained from several databases and compared, and afterwards management of major drug interactions of betablockers and calcium channel blockers was created. Patients of a community pharmacy were screened for these drug interactions. The data were processed by frequency analysis. Results: In the theoretical part, 94 drug interactions were analysed.
