PPP projects (comparative analysis of CR and SR)

This thesis deals with a public-private partnerships, which is a relatively new economic policy options to ensure the delivery of public services and infrastructure. The work explains the system of public-private entity, describes the economics of PPP projects and shows the position of the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic to this method of ensuring public goods and services - their experience with PPP projects, and access to implement this method in their national policies.
Public - Private - Partnership in Hungary and the International Comparison

This thesis deals with the Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects and their use as alternative forms of financing in Hungary. The work is divided into three parts. In the first part, terms that relate to PPP projects are generally defined. In addition, types of PPP projects are described, as well as the main advantages and disadvantages that come with the use of these concepts. The second part deals with the current situation on the Hungarian PPP market and provides three examples of projects implemented through PPP in Hungary. The third part covers the state of Public Private Partnership in the Czech Republic. At the end of the thesis, Czech and Hungarian PPP projects are compared to each other according to several criteria.
Analysis of road infrastructure projects of the Federal Republic of Germany

The aim of this thesis is to determine the benefits of road infrastructure projects implemented in cooperation between the public and private sectors. The thesis analyses this type of projects that have been realized in Germany. The first chapter briefly characterizes the environment which the projects were implemented in. It also discusses the legislation that governs the issue. On the basis of knowledge obtained from the analysis the projects implemented in cooperation between the public and private sectors are compared with the projects carried out in conventional way. Finally, results are summarized and lead to the conclusion that cooperation between the public and private sector in road infrastructure projects has a future and can be beneficial for other European countries including the Czech Republic.

In thesis the author writes about PPP projects. After theretical introduction about them he describes advantages and disadvantages of PPP projects. Then he continues writing concentrating on his main goal, impacts of PPP projects on public and private sector. He includes the relation between PPP projects and keynes and transactional multiplier, public finance and sovereign rating. In practial part the author decribes impacts of motorway M6 in Hungary and highway D3/R3 in Czech Republic.

This bachelor thesis deals with the partnership of public and private sector. Partnership should secure public services or public infrastructure. The aim of this thesis, named "PPP projects - comparative analysis of CR and SR", is to characterize co-operation of public and private sector, describe economic aspects of realization PPP projects and focus on implementation of PPP into Czech and Slovak economic policy, with respect to final recommendations to achieve effective co-operation. The thesis can be divided into 2 parts, the first part gives general view on PPP, including description of risks that should be considered in this co-operation, advantages and disadvantages and comparison of this form of co-operation with classical procurement. The aim of the second part is to characterize PPP projects of above mentioned two countries and perform comparative analysis of PPP in Czech and Slovak Republic.

This thesis deals with projects of Public Private Partnership (PPP), its aim is to describe the concept of PPP in theory, to mention its potential benefits as well as contemporary criticism. It also describes methods for the evaluation of PPP projects, analysis of risks and barriers for increased use of PPP projects in the Czech Republic.Practical part focuses on the project in the Czech Republic at the regional level, describes the problems associated with the evaluation of the project and compares the realization of project through PPP project with a form of conventional public contract.

The private prison in Czech republic- reality or fiction?

Úvodem se práce zaměřuje na působení soukromého sektoru v oblasti výkonu práva včetně podstaty soukromých věznic. Hlavním cílem práce je zjistit, zda věznici, která se má otvírat u nás jako první soukromá věznice v ČR, skutečně můžeme považovat za soukromou. V rámci řešení této otázky se práce zaměřuje nejdříve na projekty Public Private Partnership (PPP) obecně, na jejich charakteristiku a implementaci. Dále se práce zabývá konkrétním projektem věznice, která má vzniknout v roce 2009 v Rapoticích u Brna. Zaměřuje se především na rozložení rizik mezi soukromým a veřejným sektorem a na provoz věznice v praxi. V neposlední řadě práce porovnává soukromou věznici v Rapoticích se zařízením Bay correctional Facility na Floridě a dochází k závěrům, že věznici v Rapoticích za zcela soukromou považovat nemůžeme a že má oproti americké věznici určité odlišnosti.
Economic aspects of the Public-Private Partnerships

This thesis deals with economic impacts of the application of the Public-Private Partnerships in the Czech Republic. Public-Private Partnerships are the newest form of the cooperation between public and private sector in delivering of public goods. The theoretic part of the thesis comes close to the fundamental aspects of the Public private partnerships and their characteristics, to the reasons of participation of the subjects in the projects, to the forms of Public-Private Partnerships, their phases and to the differences between government contracts and Public-Private Partnerships. The second chapter deals with the legislation of the Public-Private Partnerships in the European Union, Czech Republic and chosen countries. The analytic part of the thesis deals with economic aspects of the Public-Private Partnerships, their advantages, disadvantages, benefits and potential risks. The aim of the thesis is to discuss presented advantages and disadvantages of the Public Private Partnerships and its possible impacts of the application in the Czech Republic.
